it was the worst experience i have ever had at a restaurant. on all levels-service, food & ethical. only smooth part was getting a table & being seated by the hostess.
first server started by almost banging the crockery & cutlery infront of us. he was unapologetically forceful & loud with that! we never got asked for water or served until we asked for it! this is just basic at any given restaurant, let alone a fine dining one.
he then takes my order and walks off without
even asking my friend for her order! we thought he maybe coming back but that didn't happen. so we had to seek him out to place the rest of our order. then we get our food all wrong. the dish that showed up didn't match the description on the menu, further when we asked for the chef, we were told he was too busy. we thought atleast the manager needed to show up at this time, but that did not happen either. and of course let me mention that we did not get asked if we wanted to order any drinks. anyway, we asked for a new server since by this time we were really fed up. not much changed even after the new server arrived. it was only when we got our 3rd server that we finally got the hospitality that we deserved.
however, let me add the icing on the cake here. as if all this wasn't enough, we even got billed wrongly. when the bill arrived, the price of the dish we ordered was lesser on the menu than wot showed up on our bill!!!who would think this would happen at a high-end restaurant like this!! when we called for the manager, he just gave us an apology and carried on. the bill was revised but no real compensation provided for the most horrible evening of our lives.
