yards bruncheon

i loved the food andgreatservice i would go back again. the apple donuts awesome. my husband was impressed as well...we had agreatdate.

full espresso bar and the best eggs benedict. my new favorite spot. super cute decor andgreatservice. lots of hot sauce. the waffles are amazing.

i have been frequenting yard bruncheon since it opened. in a lot of cases i am turned off by modern twists on basic comfort foods, everything soundsgreatthen there is a random off-putting ingredient thrown in. most restaurants that do this(central food, scratch, and casper frys) don't seem to offer something simpler to those who don't have a pallet as adventurous. this is not the case with yards.

the yards offer agreatrange of flavors from simple to complex, pleasing my simple taste but leaving a door should i feel like exploring. their dishes aren't threatening and don't force me into a situation where i'm eating my dish to be polite.

in regards to the "critic" that didn't like the coffee; you must not drink coffee regularly. i am a coffee drinker, i was overly excited when i moved to washington from california and found that every restaurant serves excellent coffee and the proper strength.

i absolutely love the yards and will continue to return every week for as long as possible. downtown was/is in need of agreatbreakfast spot, the yards bruncheon was a very welcomed addition to the area.

food was good - fresh ingredients and good flavors. a little less impressed with the service - just ok, especially since we were there early for breakfast and the place was not busy...yet. the pancakes weregreatand so was the veggie benedict. it would be nice to have some healthier meat & non-pork alternatives on the menu for options, but, that's a minor suggestion. overall good food and a nice place to come for breakfast. i'll eat there again and recommend to others

food not up to par with concept. my friend is foodie from new york who has also lived in las vegas. so when she gave yards bruncheon a thumbs up; i started to salivate!

i was disappointed with yards bruncheon. the food was good but not great. i like the whole idea of a gourmet diner. the actual dishes my husband and i ate at yards bruncheon fell short of that lofty goal. my squash omelet was agreatconcept breakfast. however, my squash omelet was way too sweet. it made me wonder if anyone took the time to properly tweak my high concept breakfast before putting it on a menu. my husband’s corned beef hash was good but nothing exceptional.

yards bruncheon prices are in line with a quality of the food. i didn’t feel cheated, in terms of money. our server, uri, couldn’t be nicer and was very attentive. yet, i wanted better food after the rave reviews from my friend.

to date, the best brunches i’ve tasted in the spokane/cda area are:

3. boots (taste the dishes in the case first)
4. madeleine’s
5. italia trattoria
6. chaps
7. clover
8. garnet caf

a few friends and i were eating breakfast here weekly. we started in early march. the food wasgreatand the prices were even better. we enjoyed the ambience for an early morning gathering. the service was to die for. unfortunately a new waitperson showed up and the service became really erratic. too long waits to have our orders taken and water brought out. long waits for our food even when we we were one of maybe 3 tables occupied. the water always tasted like the soap wasn't completely washed off. my second mexicana was not a latte with cinnamon but had chocolate syrup added to it. anyway, we returned to our old habit of going different places every week. i'm sure we'll return periodically but not as weekly regulars.

food isgreatand priced just right. i've been in twice and still the service isn't up to par. very friendly staff just not up to par.

this is one of my favorite new places to eat. i went with a large party hadgreatservice and mouth watering food made from scratch. this food is truly worth every cent.
