wow, having tried great pizzas in italy and america, i wasn’t expecting anything good here.  came here after a bad experience at another restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised at their lamb pizza, totally hit the spot.  service was a bit slow as we waited for quite awhile in a near empty restaurant, and the floors were a bit sticky, but otherwise, pretty darn good dining experience.

great range of pizzas, fairly pricey but absolutely delicious nonetheless.
beautiful set up and use of space and really cosy, warm atmosphere.

best tip: if you want the winnies experience and a movie look out for the pizza + movie meal deal available on bookme.co.nz

best bite: try the pepperoni pizza it's to die for!

winnies is the best place in queenstown! i proposed here on the 6th of august 2016. it was the best proposal i could ever imagine! and the girls put so much effort into making it absolutely awesome! (say hi to inca for us). i will probably edit this review and explain even more! please go here and order heaps of their delicious pizza and buy drinks and enjoy the toasty fires in a queenstown winter!!!!

the first official pizza abroad and i've gotta say melbourne has some fierce competition. right off the bat the wheels here come in at an impressive 14 inches, enough to make even mandingo blush. this is the half meat feat half monotara. total face melter. you can also get tower beers (meter of beer). tick

winnies is the place if you want good pizzas. stay away from american pizza chains and try this real deal with lots of topping and flavors when you are in queenstown. you can also have a nz brewed beer from the tap to go with it. friendly staff and great atmosphere.

loved it! tried the seafood pizza and it was amazing - the only downer was that they charged $5 for anchovies. wings were great with greek yogurt dip. a great place to eat on a chilly queenstown evening.

great spot. really cool idea with the roof that opens above the bar, pizza are good, but i need to say that the prices are two expensive.

we had a large pizza, was great. but at $36 i can get 2 large pizzas are great pizza places in auckland. the mojito was average. over all though it's a place to go, and the atmosphere makes up for the rest.

i came here two years ago. great place at an excellent location! pizza was delicious. we ordered two different pizzas. we loved it here so much! the staff were very friendly and helpful. the atmosphere was great. i would recommend anyone to come here :)

friendly well trained staff with consistent service throughout. pizza was great, a true kiwi pizza with lots of toppings and flavour. wine list nothing exciting. great atomosphere, relaxed yet buzzing.

real pizza with real toppings. not your authentic italian jobs. these have large chunks of your chosen selection. you can get the large as half & half. loved the chicken and cranberry.

have a beer by the fire first and enjoy the atmosphere.

worth the walk up the stairs.

you can't go past the $15 pizza and drink special at lunch time. and i can never go past the chicken/cranberry/brie pizza at any time. apparently they have lots of other flavours but i'm yet to be persuaded to try them.

it delights you with one of the most new york style cum industrial architectures while you enjoy gourmet pizzas in a fun and relaxed environment. you'll feel 80's are back, in a good way! go half-n-half with a mix of zucha (spinach, roasted pumpkin, feta and almonds) and montonaro (chicken fillets, sundried tomatoes, brie and spring onions, sweet chilli sauce and pistachio sour cream).

great pizza. winnies does a really good pizza with a big and varied menu to choose from, and cheap drinks to boot. they also have plenty of room, so getting a table isn't ever too much of an issue.

it does turn into a horrendous bar once the kitchen closes however, so eat quickly and go elsewhere for a drink if you don't like drunk 18 year olds.

they’ve got a great variety of pizzas, cheap drinks and a rustic american style feel. it really felt like we had left new zealand and stumbled into the regional american countryside.
