western street café n restaurant

i had visited benares, with my friends, over a long weekend on the occasion of mahashivratri. it was our second day in benares and we had just made our way back from sarnath after enduring a long stretch of traffic jam across the city. it was already 4 pm in the evening and we were looking for a place to have lunch. we entered into western street cafe located on the side of main road.

the place had a very comforting ambience and thestaffwas really vigilant and well mannered. the menu had variety of options available in north indian, chinese as well as a few options in continental. we ordered one paneer butter masala with breads, one red sauce pasta and 4 shakes. the paneer butter masala had an amazing gravy and tasted brilliant. it had some really great flavors and a perfect balance of tanginess and spiciness. the red sauce pasta was decent in taste. the taste was a bit indianized and lacked authenticity. the sauce tasted more like an indian curry. the shakes were good and accompanied the meal well.

overall it was a delightful experience with good food, amazing service and a congenial ambience.

tried panner fried rice with chilli baby corn and cheese burst pizza....
had to wait a bit but still thestaffwas friendly...

a nice cafe cum dine restuarant. they have a nice ambience. loved their veg kebabs, and nans the most. thestaffis very polite.both the quality and quantity of food is nice.

western street cafe is located in very known area, i.e, bhelupur, varanasi.
food is good, ambience is average andstaffand services are not up to the mark.
we tried many things including mocktails and shakes.
starting with a food-
baked pasta- cheesy white sauce baked pasta was fabulous. it is a must order when you visit this place.
mix veg noodles- though it was loaded with lots veggies but i feel there was something that was missing.
sholey paneer tikka- it was tasty but super hot, definitely not for people who prefer non spicy.
stuffed mushroom tikka- same goes for this item, delicious and hot as hell.

management can literally work on presentation of food items and mocktails.

recently i visited this place.. the place was so good with beautiful interiors in cafe side.. the atmosphere of the place was so good n amazing.. thestaffwere humble n cooperative.. service was great.. now talking about food i tried..
chilly cheese bread
mix noodles
paneer tikka
baked pasta
tandoori stuffed mushrooms
sangria
kit kat shake
n many more... all the foods were good.. but drinks need some improvement.. i will suggest you to try their baked pasta, which i love it.... so do visit this small n cozy cafe..

the best thing about this place is its location. this is on route to lanka. even if you're going to assi you can pay a visit here. moreover the food served here is good in taste. we had sneeker shake,baked pasta and many more. i personally liked baked pasta as this was equally tasty and cheesy. even the chocolate brownie sizzler took away my heart. thestaffwas polite to us. presentation of food can be improved but they had not compromised in the taste of the food. though some dishes like sangria, stuffed mushroom and chilli toast can be worked on. for me aloo bhojpuri was the star of the lunch! paneer was stuffed in the roasted potatoes and blanched well, tossed in a thick gravy with perfect consistency . this place is good to go with family and friends!

wowstaffis very helpfully i have ordered pasta white sauce that was so yummy you must try..

the restaurant is generally empty and today only two tables were occupied. thestaffis friendly and quick in responding. the menu offers a wide variety of dishes and beverages spread over two menus. the food was well served but was really spicy jn terms of taste. the kulcha was left a little uncooked in the tandoor.

food is expensive here. ambience is very good.staffis good. food wasn't tasty as it should be compared to it's price. location of restaurant is easy to find.

food is good butstaffmember are little bit slow to serve you,but all good. needed more active member to do the work and also need to move the table near air conditioner my friend feel some drop of water in his head while eating. interior also good

food is definitely not a highlight. went in for a casual dinner. i would have to say, the items served were not worth it.
*paneer tikka, way too spicy.
*the pinacolada was way too sweet and below expectations.
*nan bread and paneer dish (though a bit spicy for my taste), were ok.
*soup was ok.
overall, the food experience was not upto expectations.
though, the quality of ingredients they used was definitely good. on my bed now, and feeling satisfied and full.

visited the place a few days ago.. loved the food.. tried the chocolate fondue and chilli mushroom.. they were yum. the ambiance is quite nice.. it is divided into two parts.. one is cafe and the other is of restaurant.. there is only one negative point that thestaffdoes not have knowledge about the food in the menu.
