wassabi - off the hook

bestsushiin town. can be hit or miss, but still the best place in fresno forsushiin terms of presentation, freshness, and variety. the menu is huge. there really is something for everyone, and if you like trying new dishes, you can try something new every time. if you like rolls, my favorites are the 2nd climax, 3m, yummy yummy, mojo, and foreplay. the calamari and soft shell crab appetizers are nice. the shaw restaurant can be a little cramped. i prefer the herndon restaurant.

thesushihere is delicious. definitely a stop to make whenever i am in the fresno area. the prices are a bit pricey. i've definitely hadsushithat was not as expensive and just as good elsewhere. drinks are good though, they do not water down the alcohol here, as some places do. i also love the creativity in thesushinames! kudos to whomever was the decision maker in that. :)

waaaaaaaaay to expensive. sat at the bar and was the only one there. about 3pm. ordered one beer, one two piece sushi, and a roll. total was about $29 and with tip $34 for one guy. had a guy sitting behind the end of the bar who worked there playing with his ipod or phone the entire time i was eating. when i ordered my salmon two piece after eating my the roll this guy not thesushichef made it and didn't even was his hands. he was a manager i think. nasty bastard.

horrible service. i don't even wanna give this place 1 star. horrible is all i can say about the service! food is nothing special either. on this particular day i sat at the bar. the bartender was to take our order because it was happy hour. as soon as i sat down he did not greet me just asked for my id which is fine. my friends ordered before me and he never asked me what i wanted. i called him three times by saying excuse me and he looked at me and looked away. i told him i want a water which he never refilled or asked if i wanted more throughout the whole time. by this time my friends were done with there food and he still never asked so i got up and went and put in my order. he still never asked if i wanted anything else because i wanted to order more so i asked the waitress if she can take my order and bring me a fork and more water. by this time he came and listened to me put in my order with the waitress and said to me how long did i have you wait that you had to get somebody else at that time i explained to him that i said excuse me 3 times and he looked at me and looked away. he rolled his eyes and laughed so i told him sir i don't appreciate your attitude. he said i don't appreciate yours. i never gave him an attitude i just chose another waiter. he said i will take your order so i put in my order and he never checked to see if i wanted anything else. my friends wanted to order drinks at the bar which we were sitting at and he never took there drink order but was furious that we requested another waiter. i will never eat here again due to this experience, mysushialso came out cold.

the bestsushiin fresno!. our family had a birthday party at wasabi restaurant in fig garden last night. it was unbelievably good. they served great food even entrees appropriate for the youngest in our party ( 3 yrs.). this was especially amazing since, much to my shame, i was the crankiest customer they probably ever had. they could not have been more generous and accomodating. i was so impressed by their fabulous customer service especially in light of my poor behavior. thank you to kc and his crew and again my apologies for being a cranky old lady. the whole amily loved it and i loved them turning my attitude around. bravo!

where is the service? music way to loud! is it a club or asushiplace?

very sad that this place has it all wrong! first the the food was terrible, quality was poor and there prices were high! i have atesushiall over the world and i hate to say it but it was one of the worst i've ever had! it's false marketing at the front door makes it even a bigger disappointment when you take your first bit and especial when you get the bill! overall poorly done with just poor choices by management! service was even poor! it's really to bad but if i am not honest with my experience then i am not doing anyone any justice!

unimpressed. based on the number of awards hanging near the front door, i was hoping that the quality of the food would make up for the obnoxiously loud dance club atmosphere throughout the restaurant. unfortunately, thesushiwas unimpressive at best. the ebi fire roll i got was ok but certainly nothing special. the spider roll was made with soft shell crab that was not good at all and i ended up pulling out quite a few fragments of the shell. i've had the spider roll at pretty much every othersushirestaurant i've been to and i've never been so disappointed in the quality of the crab. my wife got a philly roll and unfortunately hers wasn't any better than my two rolls. the avocado in it was very overripe and the salmon was very fishy and probably should have been relegated to a can of friskies cat food. bottom line, crappy food plus unbelievably annoying fist pumping music made me feel like i was eating grocery storesushiwith the cast of jersey shore.
