while visiting kc, we decided to order some grub to have delivered to our hotel room. the service was absolutely wonderful and the food was equally as good! i would totally recommendwaldopizza for funky flavor choices and a staff that wants to provide the best service possible.

meh. very few kc "pizzerias" know how to do pizza properly, andwaldopizza is no exception. i don't know what the midwest has against fresh mozzarella cheese, marinara, and thin/medium crust, but it's really annoying. grinders and the pizza place at oak park mall food court come the closest to good pizza in this town.

way too busy. went on a monday at 1pm. there was a wait to get a table which was no big deal. we go towaldoin lees summit often and it is worth the wait. when we got seated the waitress finally took our drink order and we headed to the buffet line. there were about 10 people in line and there was about 3 pizzas to choose from. i got a spoon of pasta to go with the piece of pizza. it was cold although it would have been tasty warm. we each got a piece of something we really didn't want and figured we would come back in a minute and there would be fresh pizza. wrong. 20 plus people in line and once again 3 pizzas. we aren't terribly picky but a cheese pizza and a pepperoni should be available at the very least. we left at that point. i didn't have a couple of hours to invest in standing in line to eat mediocre pizza. i'll not go back to this location.

what can you say aboutwaldopizza. i really started going to this place after the snow storm of 2002! the place had reopened after the storm forced everything shut down. the owner gave me appetizers for free and the medium pizza i ordered must have weighed 3 lbs. that's because he said the toppings were good and after the storm he didn't want to waste anything and gave good quality food to the customer. this past winter i saw the owner in the place it had snowed heavy and it reminded us of the storm of 2002. the lunch buffet a stable of thewaldoarea and other parts of kc as well. i can't count the number of lunch dates i have had there. i love the place still thewaldolocation is the best by far.

what’s cool aboutwaldopizza, other than the pizza pan lighting fixtures, friendly servers, full bar, and delicious pizza, is that it just has what must be called “quirks.” for instance, you just don’t see salad bars hardly at all anymore, and waldo’s remains in place. it’s a small one, but everything is very fresh with some different flavors. for instance, there’s his mom’s pickled beet salad, a rice salad, pasta salad, and really, all the fixins you need. they make all their own salad dressings but one (the fat free honey dijon) and they are well known for their garlic ranch dressing – and people seem very happy to pour that one on, eliminating the healthiness of the entire salad bar.

unique, genuine pizza. burnt ends and cream cheese on a thin crust pizza... oh my god! this is my number one indulgence and i wake up at night sometimes craving this pizza. it is by far some of the best pizza i've ever had, and i don't say that lightly - i love a good slice of pizza :) anyone, anywhere go towaldopizza and enjoy, and do try burnt ends and cream cheese. it's an odd combo my friend made up but it will not disappoint!!

pizza with a lot of variety and quality ingredients.waldopizza is our "go-to" local pizza place. meat eaters, vegans, and folks with food allergies can all go there and find something delicious. (in fact, we had our wedding rehearsal dinner in the tap room.) their expansive beer and wine menu is great for those that like to try something besides a bud light or table red. also, don't forget to box up leftovers and save room for dessert. their gooey butter cake is no joke and their vegan options are tasty as well.

really good pizza in a fun atmosphere.waldopizza is always a good time and the pizza options let you be extremely creative. they have a good beer selection as well. there is almost always a daily pizza special as well as cheap drinks. everyone that works there seems cool and they are helpful. definitely worth the time as it's probably the best pizza in kc.

worth driving for.. we live in platte county and have no problem driving towaldopizza. if we're hungry, we get the thewaldocombo, a great st. louis style pizza and if we want a light lunch, we get the salad bar and cheese crusts - a thin pizza crust with a nice thin layer of melted cheese.

nice, but.... not all beer needs to be served ice cold. my wife and i tried the taproom adjoiningwaldopizza. what a great selection of beers. my only complaint is that the beer was served in a fashion for people who don't like beer--ice cold and in an ice cold glass. the only thing that extreme cold does is numb the tastebuds and hide the taste, which, if one drinks bud, miller, coors, or that ilk, is necessary. please stop ruining the flavor and complexity of fine belgian beers with icy glasses.

best pizza in kc. i have been eating atwaldopizza since the 1980s. it is hands down my favorite pizza in kc. dine-in service does occasionally leave something to be desired, but i can deal with that atwaldoif i get my pizza. i just wish they'd open one up north!

waldo pizza. we ate atwaldopizza, lees summit location. first time was great! good pizza, excellent service, great family atmosphere. the only problem we experienced was one pizza was not the way we ordered it, which the wait staff and kitchen help knew before bringing it to our table. they let us eat it anyway, and made the correct order for free. we went home with almost 2 pizzas!
excellent value, great food.
