too noisy for me. we went to the vue on30alast evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. our reservation was at 5 o'clock because we wanted to enjoy the sunset. we were seated promptly with a lovely view of the ocean. our waiter was prompt in providing our drinks and water glasses were filled promptly throughout the evening. our used dishes were also removed almost as soon as the last bite left the plate. we ordered filet, grouper and t-bone and though all the meals were very good, i did not like the bread pudding that came with my steak. odd kind of a side and i would have preferred a choice of a regular potato or a pasta. also they charged us to share a salad which is crazy since salads are $12 and really too large for one person. what really spoiled the evening for us, however, was the live music playing in the lounge. when we entered, the lounge was full and yet we were the first people in the dining room. a party of 5 was then seated and then a couple of other tables. apparently most people were there for the music and drinks. the band started shortly after 5 and was very, very loud. we were somewhat taken aback as we could barely have a conversation with each other. i did ask the manager if the music was always that loud and she replied, "it is on saturday night!" there is no partition between the lounge and dining room so the noise is loud throughout the entire place. i would expect it at 7 or 8 o'clock, but did not expect to feel like i was eating in a bar at 5:00. other than a slight hitch in getting our food (table next to us seated 20 minutes after us got their food first). our waiter apologized and did offer us one complimentary dessert for the table to share (guess we all need to like the same dessert). that poor table next to us sent 2 chicken dinners back and then waited and waited. one woman never ate and the other took hers home. overall, the service was impeccable and the food was good and the atmosphere and view were great. however, they need to decide if they are fine dining or a lounge. i wouldn't pay that amount of money for a meal again to not be able to speak to my dinner companions.
