vue on 30a

must eat here. this beautiful spot should be tried at least once by everyone visiting santa rosa beach, fl. the food is divine and service always top notch. eat inside at the beautiful tables or outside overlooking the gulf and beach. yes, its pricey, but worth every penny! not a place for young kids, though.

excellent evening! all 4 in my group ordered a different entree and no one was disappointed. a clean plate restaurant if there ever was one! and dinner on the patio was outstanding. very upscale service, highly attentive waiter, just a gem on the gulf !

don't pay for a sunset!. make sure you have an iphone with a flashlight to read menu and bill. food was mediocre. bread was sooo hard my knife couldn't put a dent in it. gumbo had tough stringy okra - the cheap stuff from walmart, andouille was broken up so much that the fat kept winding up in my spoon, fish of the day had a fishy taste, and the dessert was very disappointing because of little or no sugar. creme brûlée was served cold. best food is still in louisiana.

great food and great service. ask for ion, he's the best!! i recommend the filet and the bacon brownie....all you need to know!

creative menu and good but not lengthy wine list. rack o lamb was well prepared as were grilled scallops. nice view of sunset. i will go back for sure

what a view this vue. we always complete our time in the destin area with sunday brunch, sitting next to the best view on 30a. crab cake benedict...why not??? and the seafood omelette just explodes with so much fresh fish and flavors. i can hardly wait to be in town two sundays in may!!!

7.0 of 10. we will go back due to the wonderful view and quiet atmosphere. food was solid. a few things were really good and a few things were average to below average. the lobster appetizer was fantastic. the tuna and fruits de mer were really good. the creme brulee, chocolate mousse, and brownies were mediocre. waiter was really nice, but you could tell they just weren't well trained. we were asked to stir our coffee with forks. not something we cared about, but it just showed a lack of training. with all of that said, we will still be back.

the food was not as good as i would expect for the price

user reviews. had a wonderful meal that was priced well under $25.oo per plate. the view of the sun setting in the gulf of mexico was priceless and the staff could not have been more friendly. the food was great. my favorite was the almond crusted grouper.

a true fish story!. i have to tell all of you about the fantastic dinner i recently had at the vue on 30a - wow! first, what a beautiful place - smack on the beach, beautifully decorated, breezy, relaxed atmosphere... started with martinis at the beautiful bar. seated near a wide glass window looking at the beautiful gulf. i ordered the vue catch du jour prepared chef's way. the whole fish presentation was beautiful. the flavor, incredible: so fresh, tender and delicious! yum! do try the vue on 30a. be as laid back, or as formal as you feel like. it's all right!

disappointed. great view, friendly server, very disappointing food. risotto was a side dish on 2 of 4 entrees and wasn't done - it was actually crunchy, veal chop ordered med rare, was raw - not rare, raw-awkward for guest waiting for correction while rest of us ate, nothing offered while he waited. all salads were room temperature, and the wedge salad was mediocre at best - supposed to have pancetta - couldn't taste it, was ground up and bleu cheese tasted bottled. bread was not fresh and the flowers on the table are plastic (come on....really?) plus we were asked to hand them to the server so the bread basket could fit. . the filet was good. i have no issue with paying top $ for food & service as long as the product matches the price and in this case, it did not. i was so looking forward to it, i am a local and i will not be back.

what a fabulous find!!!!. just moved to the area and was driving down 30a and stopped in at the vue on 30a.what a great place to sit watch the sunset with a glass. the wine list by the way was great, very eclectic. i had the fruits du mers which had tons of seafood perfectly cooked over really creamy risoto. our server kyle was so friendly and very accommodating. brooke the manager came by to make sure everything was fabulous. the whole experience will definitely be bringing us back next time we are down from memphis. can't wait

fabulous view and great food!. this is our favorite place on 30a because of the amazing gulf view. the service was wonderful, our server was very attentive and the food was so good. this is definitely a place we are coming back to again and again, we can't wait.

the most amazing restaurant on 30a. we stumbled into vue by accident looking for a different restaurant and aren't we glad we decided to stay. first of all the view is unbelievable. all the tables are practically window tables directly on the water. it was a nice evening so we sat outside and watched the sunset. our server elena was really helpful and gracious. we tried the whole fish which was perfectly crispy and really fresh. the thai flavors were delicate and lovely. we went for the fois gras as our dessert instead of a traditional dessert and man oh man it was outstanding. the french toast underneath it was perfectly toasted and the maple syrup was awesome with the fois gras. the wine list was perfect for us with the half bottles so we could drink several types of wine through out the meal. we will most definitely be back this week for the live music.
