voodoo bbq & grill

bbq is not good. too many terrible sauces and the worst service i have ever had at a resataurant. the meats were served luke warm with sauces that were put on the table ice cold from the fridge or freezer. server acted like doing us a favor when helping us. had a party of 8 and were treated like garbage. will never return and will tell all just how bad thisplaceis.

delicious!! checked out thisplacebecause it was near my hotel, but i was pleasantly blown away. i got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad and i was so full and so satisfied walking out. the bbq sauce they have is amazing and the potato salad is to die for. definitely would go again!

this restaurant was next to our hotel during our trip to new orleans last august, so it was a convenient choice for dinner one night. there was a huge menu which made it hard to choose, but i got a bbq baked potato with pork. i really enjoyed it, and the pork was very moist. however the highlight of my meal was the sweet potato soufflé. you can't skip that if you go there. very sweet but so good. i felt like our cashier was a little rude, especially when we went back to get some food they forgot to give us. but overall, i definitely would say to check thisplaceout of you are nearby. kids menu portions were good. prices a little high, but about in line with everything else in the area.

i grew up eating texas bbq, so thisplaceisn't the most amazing food i have had in the bbq area, but man, oh man, is it still wonderful. i've had jerk chicken, mojo chicken, smoked chicken, and ribs here. all were good, and their greens are to die for!

tasty lunch. i'd say that this is a goodplaceto grab lunch. i had the chicken jerk bbq, and i enjoyed it. service was quick and cheerful. i can't say that the food was life-altering or anything, but it was good and i would certainly go back. actually somewhat to my surprise, the gris gris and corn pudding sides that i chose were really very good. i guess i don't usually expect sides to be that memorable, but these were mighty fine. i've walked by thisplaceseveral times during my recent visit to nola and its always seemed to be doing a fairly good business.

not impressed. my hotel concierge told me that this is the best bbq around. i hope thats not true. the pulled pork was ok. bbq shrimp were not good. and the mac and cheese wasnt a good baked mac and cheese but tasted like a premade cheese sauce. honestly wouldnt pick thisplaceagain.

not worth your time. a few friends and i were in new orleans for a about a week and our hotel concierge recommended voodoo as a pretty goodplaceto grab some food.....
upon arrival, our group of 8 people was split up into two groups of 4, and we sat on opposite sides of the restaurant from each other. once we had ordered, it took over an hour to get our meals. the pulled pork was delicious, and the side items also tasted fine. but once we had finished our meal, we walked to our friends table (the other portion of our party that the hostess had split apart) and they had not even received their drink orders!!!!!!!

this really pissed our group off... we had waited for a total of an hour and a half for just their drink orders!!! the waitress did not care to serve them when we had mentioned how long we had waited....
once their food had arrived and and my friends had finished eating, we had spent 3.5 hours at the restaurant. completely absurd. will never return-highly recommend you don't either!

great bbq and beer on the cheap.. first off thisplaceis nothing fancy. it all goes toward the food. i had brisket, potato salad and beans, with a side of sausage (and my wife's cole slaw) with a beer and i was in heaven.
dollar for dollar (i ate in some fancy places this trip) this was the best lunch i had in new orleans and with a city this full of amazing restaurants, that is saying something.
if you love bbq, don't pass on this restaurant. plus it's right at a trolley stop.

tripped across thisplaceon the way to a mardi gras parade. flavorful poboys on fresh hogie rolls. mmm good!
