omg!! the best absolute dining i've ever experienced, everything about theplacewas oh so fabulous, the food was amazing and had such a friendly staff!! i loved that waiter with the earrings who kept showing up to our table to accompany us with a fabulous smile my gosh he is so cute!! i wish i knew more about the fellow. vino you deserve an a+

six of us
went to vino for dinner. once we discovered that there is a gallery oyster bar
in front, we went there for our drinks. we had the best hand crafted cocktails
in birmingham. couple of our girls fell in love with our very polite but
friendly bartender. we then walked to the back of the building for dinner at
vino which was fabulous. thisplacetucked away in english village is awesome.
such a nice atmosphere, along with the best service, reasonable prices and a
nice varied menu is truly amazing and it’s a must to take out of town visitors
there. our sea scallops, fresh gulf red grouper, lamb ….were all outstanding.
our apple fritters and tiramisu were to die for. we found our fav in
birmingham.

worst restaurant on the planet. it is difficult to put into words how terrible this restaurant is. i ordered an antipasta salad. instead, they brought me some half-assed appetizer plate that was mainly pita chip crumbs and hummus. the menu described 3 different types of meats. you got one microscopic piece of each. i am extremely difficult to disappoint when it comes to food, but this experience was so terrible that i joined urban spoon just so i could warn others how incredibly awful thisplaceis.

terrible. the food was terrible, unoriginal. thisplacefeels like someone went to publix and made a generic dinner from the ready to cook section. i strongly advise anyplaceother than this restaurant.

great new place. living so close to a great restaurant has it's perks! i am so glad that english village now has a restaurant of such high quality, besides the chez lulu. this restaurant has one of the most unique and great ambiances in birmingham. the outdoor dining is a greatplaceto kick back and relax. the building is an amazing architectural masterpiece in english village, and the food matches the great views.
the portions are more than enough, and the service and presentation are spot on. this restaurant is always improving, and is a great and much needed addition to english village.

awesome!. vino is a sexy restaurant, with a great outdoor dining patio. the perfectplaceto go for a date... sexy atmosphere, no over-filling entrees, friendly staff, and the tables are spaced well, so you don't feel like you're on top of another table.

i ordered the eggplant chicken capellini, and it was over-the-top. the angel hair was cooked perfectly as well. my wife ordered the special, seared scallops and shrimp, and the seafood came out flawless. the panisse side is great... must try.

well done, vino!... will definitely be back soon to enjoy the outdoor patio before the cool weather sets in.

four of us dined at vino last night. because of the heat we decided on inside. theplaceis small but very modern and clean looking. our server was well trained. two of us had their featured mango martinis with fresh mangoes muddled and they were very tasty. i had the pan seared grouper with moroccan couscous and grilled summer veggies ... it was delicious. everyone in our group enjoyed their entrees, we were very impressed. definitely recommend, we will surely be going back soon

enjoyed!!!. love this place! staff is awesome. food was delicious especially the fresh crab claws, salmon kabob and all the sides were excellent....mango cobbler, chocolate, key lime cheese cake, apple fritters & ice cream....yummy! they were wonderfully accommodating and patient with our party of 12 (separate checks too)! will definitely recommend thisplaceand visit here again.

loooooooved it. what a awesome new and fresh approach to dining in birmingham, we went after symphony last week and totaly enjoyed it. every thing about this chic mediterranianplacefelt right.from service to pan seared grouper with pistachio, saltanas couscous to the best spinach lasagne and veal ossoboco and apple fritters ! can't wait to go back !

great food, great service. 2 words: apple fritters...amazing! as was the chicken pasta dish. the eggplant spread was a pleasant surprise too. my husband had a dish with panisse, which is fried chickpea. we were nervous of it but took the plunge, what a treat! the atmosphere is very chic yet relaxed, minimalist. our server was pleasant, knowledgable and cute as a button, think her name was nina or natalie. make reservations, thisplaceis taking off fast!
