mediocre food, unaccomodating staff, over priced. birthday party turned fiasco because of waiter mixing up checks, not accommodating with separate checks for three couples. this should not be listed as $ when two entrees and one glass of wine cost $65. we opted to buy a bottle of house wine rather than five single glasses. he decided to upsell us a $50 bottle as if that was the house offering. i find this kind of upsell a scam and didn't expect it from this place. bread $6 (undercookedpizzadough) chicken mimosa was tough, like a frozen chicken breast. calzone was really undercooked and the promised marinara was never delivered. it was supposed to have prosciutto but i never found it. i found vero amore to be pretentious overpriced and i guess the staff problem could be lack of training.

so delicious!!. this was my boyfriend and i first time at the new temporary location. as foodies we had high expectations and they were blown away. the waitstaff all the way around was amazing, prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and very service orientated. we had the calamari which was nice lightly breaded and very tasty, but the sauce was spectacular the wasabi ranch was just zingy enough, we ordered more just to put on the pizza! thepizzaitself was delicious the sauce was flavorful and crust was light. i am normally not a dessert person but greg (our fantastic waiter) suggested the white chocolate cherry gelato with our panna cotta, the best flavor combination of the evening!! it was light and creamy, the gelato was flavorful without being sugary. we will definitely be a repeat customer!! the atmosphere was nice, very clean, slightly industrial, great music selection and not too loud, and the tables were not cramped together.

stick with the pizza. on past occasions we enjoyed the margheritapizzawith fresh basil and the split caesar salad.

we went for a 7:30pm friday dinner expecting excellence. boy, were we disappointed.

the caesar salad was tasty as always.

the ravioli was mediocre at best, swimming in sauce, and the sauce tasted of too many dried herbs. three cheese ravs and three not very crabby crab ravs.

the lasagna arrived at the table piping hot with much melted cheese in a sea of sauce, little pasta and much chewy meats. on the first bite i realized that this is just another wannabe italian meal. tasting like all the other restaurants where the chef thinks oregano should dominate the flavors.

who is doing the taste testing?---surely they are not italians.

the antonio sanguinetti super tuscan was fabulous and my wife enjoyed the zonin prosecco.

service was attentive, alert and friendly.

summary---we both could not wait to get home and brush our teeth.

friday night at vero amore. friday evening we went to vero amore with friends. we waited outside for about ten minutes and were then seated. our server was prompt and attentive. water with lemon arrived quckly. then came the bottle of wine and then the antipasto platter which was shared by the four of us. we ordered severalpizzamargheritas. it was good pizza, thin crust and fine blending of ingredients. the ambience was smooth and subtle.

bestpizzaever. every time i come into this place the food is amazing. my favorite thing is to come in at lunch and split a capresse salad. if i have time in my busy schedule to come in at night i have a quattro formaggi. the service is consistent.. they know my name when i come through the door. not too much eye candy except a young beautiful dark haired beauty... but she doesnt work much.. but the foods worth coming in. i think thepizzais one of a kind made with great ingredients cant go wrong with the smell of smokey pecan when you walk into apizzaplace

very good pizza, nice atmosphere.. ate here while visiting tucson. nice casual atmosphere, friendly staff. thepizzawas very good, the appetizers were great. prices were reasonable; don't let the strip mall location deter you, this is a great fun place with very good food.
