nice location, had a very good dinner , caesar salad was fresh, cioppino was loaded with seafood , service staff was knowledgeable and professional, atmosphere nice, will return

mediocre food, unaccomodating staff, over priced. birthday party turned fiasco because of waiter mixing up checks, not accommodating with separate checks for three couples. this should not be listed as $ when two entrees and one glass of wine cost $65. we opted to buy a bottle of house wine rather than five single glasses. he decided to upsell us a $50 bottle as if that was the house offering. i find this kind of upsell a scam and didn't expect it from this place. bread $6 (undercooked pizza dough) chicken mimosa was tough, like a frozen chicken breast. calzone was really undercooked and the promised marinara was never delivered. it was supposed to have prosciutto but i never found it. i found vero amore to be pretentious overpriced and i guess the staff problem could be lack of training.

nice dinner spot.. we were in town for the weekend & had a very nice dinner here. service was very good, food was delicious. we had the pancetta pizza, salads & appetizers and were quite happy with everything at this restaurant.

best pizza in tucson.... traditional neopolitan pizza created by chefs trained in naples, vero amore is hands down the best pizza in tucson. try the caesar salad, made with real anchovies, is amazing. we have never been disappointed here. a must try...

delicious. we started with a wood fired bead and olive oil for dipping. hot and crispy with a slightly soft chewy middle. i had the fettucini alfredo with blackened chicken. the alfredo sauce was very well done and the fettucini was perfectly cooked. my mom had the pork oso bucco on a bed of polenta with a madera sauce. tender falling off the bone. they had a happy hour so our drinks were discounted as well. i want to go back for my birthday... its birthday worthy!

disappointed. wasn't to happy with the staff. the table right in front of the door is not a good spot for a table. your hostess could use a little more customer service skills and at least act like she wants/likes her job. my glass of water still had sticky soda left on it. i told the waiter he took the glass and never returned with a new one. we barely even seen our server. was never told of the daily specials and didn't even see the sign. maybe they are weekly not daily? food was bland and i barely had any sauce on my linguine. our meatball appetizer had more sauce and that was for six maybe seven tiny one bite meatballs. the bowl was all sauce. i shoulda kept the bowl for my linguine. nothing like the pics you show. the drinks were good from the bar. i'd go back for that but not the food. this was the plaza palomino location. dove mountain may be different or maybe we went on a bad night. no clue. but first impressions are lasting impressions.

i like pizza a lot, but i don't know much about it. on my first trip to vero amore, they told me they were the only certified neapolitan pizza in tucson. not sure what it takes to get certified, but these guys do pizza right. such delicious crust, great sauce, and so many good options for toppings. really loved this pizza and would highly recommend it to others.

i've eaten here several times and it's always been great. they are movivg to a new space in plaza palamino looks great!

we had valentine's day dinner as a group and had a great time and good meals. all our meals were great with no complaints. the mood was fun and the staff was very friendly and customer focused. i'll have to go back to try there pizzas. see our photos.

same title, different restaurant. another special place for my birthday, i had been to this one when it was across the street.
now in a bigger location, it has taken on all the awful-ness that was the restaurant before (luna bella anyone?)
before it was quaint, homey and modest. the food was amazing and the staff was small & efficient.
took the family back, since they liked it so much before. now its large & echoing. the food is over-garlicked & under-anything else. the great neopolitan restaurant with the authentic, gorgeous pizzas has gone the way of most tucson italian- too big of a space, too little concentration on the food.

so delicious!!. this was my boyfriend and i first time at the new temporary location. as foodies we had high expectations and they were blown away. the waitstaff all the way around was amazing, prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and very service orientated. we had the calamari which was nice lightly breaded and very tasty, but the sauce was spectacular the wasabi ranch was just zingy enough, we ordered more just to put on the pizza! the pizza itself was delicious the sauce was flavorful and crust was light. i am normally not a dessert person but greg (our fantastic waiter) suggested the white chocolate cherry gelato with our panna cotta, the best flavor combination of the evening!! it was light and creamy, the gelato was flavorful without being sugary. we will definitely be a repeat customer!! the atmosphere was nice, very clean, slightly industrial, great music selection and not too loud, and the tables were not cramped together.

this is real, brick oven, italian pizza. the individual who wrote "skip it" is obviously not used to proper pizza. they use san marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, which are far from cheap. in fact all the toppings are very good. basically,food is great and nice atmosphere at both locations.

i had lived in iraly for ten years, and also make my iwn pizza at home. "vero amore" has very good thin crust pizza. restaurant has a pleasant atmospere. good choice of beers (the nut brown amber was very tasty). would come here again.
