this family run operation has been a neighborhood staple since 2006.  vaso’s cuisine meshes the northern italian cooking she learned during her 26 years working as a waitress at mike’s italian and the authentic greek she picked up from her mother while growing up in cyprus. this neighborhood joint is constantly crowded with the regulars who show up for multiple lunches each week and the local families and couples who fill theplaceat night. the restaurant produces a fairly extensive menu for being so small.  personally, i think if you’re going to go to this restaurant you should order the greek dishes.  the italian is fine, but if you want pasta, just go to a la lucia down the street.   it’s the home

vaso's kitchen. food is great, customer service is superb! this is aplaceif you want to sit outside and all the tables are full, they will bring another table out for you!! there is no "40 min wait for outdoor tables"....they make it happen. i love these people. they make all their guest feel 'special'....

mouth-watering. i went here for lunch with a friend and despite it being an early lunch, it was already pretty packed. this tells you that theplaceis popular and therefore their ingredients would be more fresh.

we ordered the seared scallops and the lamb chops as the entrees w/o appetizers. everything was started with fresh warm french bread slices and a bottle of olive oil.

the scallops come in 4 and were perfectly made. no chars on the bottom but you still got the nice hard texture on the botttom of the scallop with the flavors melted in. the scallops were served with a gravy that i've tried before at cava with fresh mushrooms. this combination was to die for. i chose spaghetti as my side and ended up mixing the spaghetti into my dish. though the spaghetti was a side, it was still notable. it is made perfectly, not like the mushy stuff that is made in mass quantity at other restaurants. it is topped with a fresh, chunky tomato sauce.

the lamb chops were absolutely delicious as well. they were juicy and perfectly cooked. the texture gave the impression of a steak. it came in a pair and fresh basil scattered on top. the side of zuchini was undeniably fresh made but desired more seasoning.

for desert we had chocolate cake and tiramisu. we were so stuffed at that point that we were sliding the dishes toward one another. the chocolate cake came decorated with chocolate and vanilla drizzled across the plates. the cake was moist and firm and not too sweet. the most notable dish we had was the house-made tiramisu. it came in a huge towering slice. the cake was so moist and as soon as it went in your mouth it melted. the rum in the cake is evident and served as a very nice bite. pair it up with coffee and you'll be there all afternoon.

thisplaceis awesome, the red pepper spread is amazing with the pita bread that is hot out of the oven.

mrs jordn. i have a wonderful time eating and enjoying the atmosphere. this is a great and affordableplaceto invite friends and family. wonderful service and the owner is just as nice.
