great food and service. the food and service atunapizza are both top notch. we always leave full and happy. the kale salad is delicious and healthy. the meatballs are delicious. the pizza is probably some of the best in calgary. our service is always consistently good. the atmosphere can be a little cramped, it is a small restaurant, but the energy is great.

favourite spot in calgary!.unais one of my favourite spots to eat in calgary. the staff are really friendly, atmosphere extremely cute and creative and the food is yummy yummy. they change the art on the walls every once in a while which, as an art lover is really wonderful!

the pizza is perfectly thin yet crispy and the toppings are just right, not too much or little. i am able to get pineapple or potato on my pizza here and that makes me happy as not many places do this, at least for pineapple it's not usually fresh but is here. everything is made hot and on the spot -unais the best little eatery! :)

i have been here many times and will continue to go.

i still like red brick pizza better. but, yes, the best in alberta for a pizza in this class (die famoso die!). if you had to pick between this and famoso... don't even... just spend the extra cash and come here. you gotta go hard or go home (i.e.unaor delissio).

i don't know if this is what pizza will taste like in italy but i like it. how original and authentic is this? i'm sure it's close to being 100% legit. the sausage tasted like it was made from scratch and it's not some store-bought or factory-made crap like you are used to eating. that was a change. the spring onions were plentiful and it's overwhelming but good in a way.

atmosphere was eclectic. from open-window atmosphere to sitting at the bar to having tables inside the restaurant, it was just an oodle of joy to be there and experience the crowded atmosphere.

worth the hype and the price. no hating here.

what's all the hype for? we went tounapizza after hearing good things about it and honestly i was really disappointed. i had the mushroom pizza. i was so happy until i had my first bite, the pizza was so bland. hmmm i guess that works for some people. i expect more than just blah. if anyone tells u it tastes like the pizza in rome. either they have never been to italy or they went to very bad pizzeria there.

just try to get a table...i dare ya! well, the folks atunaunderstand the problem, so you can leave them your cell number, once you put your name on the list, and you can run an errand while you wait for their call. is it worth waiting? just try it once, and you'll know. a really quaint "hallway" of a place. stuff the wine on the rack behind you, so you have more room for the pizza. so incredibly good every time. good wine list. innovative salads, and an ever-changing array of delicious appy's. you'll leave with the feeling that life is a bit better.  (maybe that glow is from the wine...)

anyone can make dough and throw ketchup on it, but is it really pizza?. ambiance is nice and trendy, wait staff were very good. overall, not worth a 45 minute wait and definitely not worth the price point.

we had the mushroom pizza and sausage pizza. the mushrooms tasted weird, almost like they drowned it in truffle oil and over crowded the top with arugula....the top of the pizza looked like a lettuce patch. i understand arugula is trending, but i find salad on pizza is more foreign than pineapple. the sausage was the only tasty bit of the sausage pizza. the sauce is almost like a tomato purée that is unseasoned and devoid of taste....i guess bland sums it up in one word. the dough doesn't have any of the char you would get from a wood burning oven. all in all, boston pizza 1 vsunapizza 0. i was looking for a homeless guy to give the left overs to because at least i knew it was healthy....but i also knew i didn't want to have it anymore.

if you want to have a trendy night out then surely hit this spot before it is exposed as a good marketing ploy. if you want to try some decent pizza then i recommend these three places, depending where you are in the city:

1) via cibo - cook from italy, pizza oven from italy, wait is not long. hell, grab one of these pizza's, wait in line at una's, eat your pizza in line and then when you get seated and yourunapizza comes you can compare.

2) famoso pizza - wood burning oven, decent pizza, they use fior di latte...and pizzas don't look like a lettuce patch. decent seating.

3) the italian super market. i would take their pizza two days cold overunapizza.

4) surprisingly murrietta's in canmore. haven't tried the one in calgary, but they got some good char when i tried it.

happy eating!

i really really love una, what i do not love, is how expensive pizza has become, but that seems to be the norm these days. there are plenty of pizza places around the city, but i seem to find myself leaning towardsunawhenever anyone feels like going out for pizza.i haven't had the chance to dine in for a few years now, we usually do take out whenever we go. the kale salad is to die for, although a bit expensive for what it is.unahas a great feature where you are able to order online, and it'll be ready for pickup at the time you specify. note that there are a few hours over the dinner time where they do not do this as they get way too busy, but all the instructions are available online.we ordered 2 kale salads to go on saturday, and when we got there, they didn't get our order for whatever reason. rather than making us wait in what i assume to be a fairly long queue, once we showed them our order confirmation and they realized it was their error, they made us 2 kale salads and we were out in a few minutes. i appreciated the service very much!if you're ever in the mood for pizza, i know there are lots of places in calgary to go, such as without papers, double zero or ldv pizza bar, giveunaa try first. i don't think you'll be disappointed!

i use to go tounaall the time but have not been in a while. i ordered the 4 maggi and the prosciutto. the 4 maggi was extremely cheesy. almost to the point of being too cheesy. the crust was so thin that it basically was not there. it was just a thick layer of cheese. i felt gross after eating 2 pieces. there was not much honey or truffle flavour to it. just once again cheese. the prosciutto was better but quite salty. i remember liking it better than what i had today.unause to be my go to place but after this recent experience i am not sure if i love it as much as i thought i did. maybe it was just not a good day or a new chef. not sure.

my reviews ofunahave been read over 50,000 times in a year. wow.

still one of my go to places. can’t wait for patio season. have the stuffed dates for dessert. mmmm

i have been going since day one.  love this place, look for me on you gotta eat here as a patron.

the pizza is simply the best in calgary, the service is among the best if not the best.  kelly and jamie run a great house and their staff reflect that.

i like to go for a weekend lunch with friends, a good relax with a great pizza, the stuffed dates (like candy, you cannot each just one) the house wine or a great glass of one from their fantastic menu.

if you get a chance on a nice day the patio seating is fun.  i like a great martini, dry hendriks, one of the best in town as well.

go you will not be disappointed,  there is usually a bit of a line up,  do not let that deter you, it moves fast and it well worth the wait.

say hello from jimmy. . .

i don't often find myself on 17th anymore, so i always forget how much i love this place.  i don't get to go often, but when the opportunity presents itself for a meal, especially later in the night, the mention ofunamakes me happy.  service has always been lovely, the place is always busy but you never feel like it is once you get a seat.

the menu is great, but i find myself always hitting the same thing - 4-maggi pizza with as much chili oil as they will let us have at one table.   on this most recent visit we also had the patatas verdes - a huge plate of crunchy potatoes smothered in chimichurri sauce, they were delicious & ton of food for 3 or 4 people to split easily.  we ordered, of course, the 4-maggi and also the mushroom pizza.  we each picked from the terrific options for wine & beer and as always, thoroughly enjoyed our experience as the blizzard went hard outside and we sat sipping wine, dragging crust through the remaining honey on the pan and watching out the window.

another great girls evening at una, no complaints, and it left us chatting about the next time we can make our way there again!

i found this placeunapizza and wine through zomato as i was looking for a new food that i never tried in calgary. we waited for about 35 minutes for a table of two. we ordered a mushroom pizza and not pizza – prawn (don’t remember an exactly the name of the dish). i was very impressed with the sauce that they used to sautéed the prawn, it was very good and full of flavor of sweet and a little bit of spicy.

pizza – i love the pizza with a lot of mushroom and cheesy and tons of arugula on top. but i really don’t like the crust - flat, tough and tasteless.
