this is an authenticfrenchrestaurant which also sale homemade pastry. it definitively my favoritefrenchrestaurant in cebu.  you can also go there for a pastry a coffee , or a glass of  house wine?

ambience:: 3.5/5 place is well light and able to accommodate a fair amount of customers. there is an al fresco or inside dining, whichever suits you.

food & food presentation:: 5/5 where to begin? if you lovefrenchfood, almost everything here will delight your palate. my favourites - (1) escargot! absolutely fantabulous!! (2) apple tatin, this is heavenly! (3) saint jacques provencale. plate presentation is clean, pleasing to the eyes. not too elaborate but enough to make your mouth water just in the right amount.

service & staff:: 4/5 service is good and fast and attentiveness to detail is there. there aren't a lot of tables to look after which is good means your service is more personalized. the chef is the owner and every so often he will come out and personally ask customers how the food is. he also will take your order if the kitchen is not that busy :) (simple & humble - a good combination).

value for money:: 4/5 absolutely worth every penny!

this is the answer to my insatiable craving forfrenchfood. they capture the flavours offrenchcuisine and serves those with only the best wine selection. i ordered their escargot de bourgogne and tymad smoked salmon. what won me over were their cakes. the best cakes in cebu. i tried their copper sphere. it has the smoothest, richest, melts in your mouth swiss chocolate on a bed of crisp peanut and chocolate feuillitine. it's dessert that looks like zumbo's creations. for those who know me, you know how i have an unpopular opinion on chocolate. i am not a fan! but this, i would go against my own taste to have this anytime. i also had their strawberry shortcake (not in photo). it had a light vanilla sponge with mascarpone cream. what won me over were the big pieces of strawberry. they may have placed half a dozen in it, gave the acidic punch and freshness on the plate.

the bestfrenchrestaurant in cebu. definitely a must go place for people who can appreciate excellent, high quality food. tymad also has some of the yummiest desserts that can send any sweet tooth to heaven on earth.

this restaurant servesfrench& other international cuisine over fine wine & coffee. what i like this place because it is fine dining & they serve different cakes & pastries which i appreciated their different cheesecakes. i feel their cheesecake is their trademark & edge among other cheesecake shops. really love the level of sweetness & texture of their blueberry cheesecake!😊 bring in your partner over dinner or friends on a quick chill over coffee & cakes and definitely you will have a good time.😉

i had crepes and pies here for dinner! can you imagine that! i always thought that crepes are just for desserts especially when you put some fruits then ice cream on top.  at tymad bistro, you will be surprised that crepes can actually be savory and can have fillings like cheese, ham, veggies, mushrooms and more.   the crepes more savory sister is called a galette. tymad means "good house" and it is indeed a good house to enjoyfrenchcuisine.

their l'opera cake is a must try! great place for tea, dessert or dinner. they have a collection offrenchbooks you can read or browse while waiting for your order. 🍰 ☕ 📚

they apparently have the "best croissant in cebu" distinction as proven by a sign proudly displayed on their counter. i am not sure if it is the best but it is very, very good! you will be able to taste the butter used in the bread.

we tried a lot of other stuff and here's our verdict:
1. croissant - love the buttery flavor
2. paté - sooooo good! i like how you can taste the meat and it goes perfectly with the mustard and gherkins
3. onion soup - bland but the bread and cheese on top was perfectly toasted and added the right texture to the dish.
4. english breakfast set - yes, my friend ordered this in afrenchbistro but she loved it
5. hanger steak - i asked for medium and mine came out well done. it looked ugly and smothered in red wine sauce. did not like it.

now if we stopped there i would've given this a 2.5 rating but we tried out the cakes and... waaaaw!

6. apple tartan (not sure of the spelling) with vanilla cream sauce - best i've tasted ever! the apples were sweet, cinnamon was just right - just loved it.

7. almond walnut cake - my favorite dish here. it was a tart with a layer of almond and walnut paste (i think) and topped with best quality dark chocolate ganache. next time i should buy a whole cake to bring back home.

service was also top notch. the wait staff was so friendly and they were delighted with this baby that they were helping the mom keep an eye on her. one of the waiters kept on bringing the baby back to the mom whenever she crawled too far away from the mom. so cute!

with all of those food we ordered, we spent roughly php1000 per person (2 pax only) which is cheap considering the quality of food and service.

please try this place out!

their specialty is buckwheat crapes. great for dessert and breakfast/ brunching. a bit pricy but worth the brunch ambiance. if you don't know what to order, go with the classic, butter and sugar crape. (its realfrenchbutter)
