not a bad place for desserts because i've only been to this place for desserts. lol. but they do taste good. i've been here 3 to 4 times already and i will surely come back. though, i have got to taste their entrees, main courses and other non-sweet food. maybe one day soon.

the good is delicious and the desserts are a must, however, the staff seems to be on the shady side. i had dinner and had purchased dessert for take out and they charged me a service charge on the take out items! also just recently i bought take out dessert and the cashier did not ring up order on cash register until i politely asked for a reciept.
at the prices they charge, they should have credit machine working, but it seems it only worked once since the many times i have
visited after the staff keep saying its not working.

french restaurant with a nice ambience and impeccable service. then there's the food... great entrees and the most amazing desserts to wrap up the experience.

i'll certainly be back for more.

hands down the best tasting dessert place in town!

love their strawberry cake and the pistachio!

the only place in cebu where the strawberry cakes are made up of actual strawberries! need i say more?

the pistachio, combines different flavors and textures to come up with a dessert that is to die for!

plus, their raspberry jam apparently compliments everything! an icing on the cake!

excited to come back and taste more cakes and pastries!

i had crepes and pies here for dinner! can you imagine that! i always thought that crepes are just for desserts especially when you put some fruits then ice cream on top.  at tymad bistro, you will be surprised that crepes can actually be savory and can have fillings like cheese, ham, veggies, mushrooms and more.   the crepes more savory sister is called a galette. tymad means "good house" and it is indeed a good house to enjoy french cuisine.

their l'opera cake is a must try! great place for tea, dessert or dinner. they have a collection of french books you can read or browse while waiting for your order. 🍰 ☕ 📚

you guys should try the crepes! totally worth it cause the ice cream, whipped cream plus sauces go so well together making the whole dish not too sweet but still really satisfying for those who love dessert ❤️

we went for their crepes. they were delicious. we got a few of their savory crepes and they are definitely a must try. one must also try their croissants, you will love the buttery texture. we got a couple of bottles of wine as well. everything was reasonably priced. you will love the ambiance of the place - it was quaint, not really crowded, and you can settle comfortably in your assigned seating. it was a very pleasant experience all together.

people were talking about their kouign amann and for someone who loves bread & pastries, i just have to try it. they ran out of the plain one so i went for the apple which didn't disappoint. it's flaky, chewy, sweet and i can eat it all day!  their staff are very accommodating, attentive and friendly.

now for the not so good part. i ordered  a pork filet mignon and i have high hopes but it didn't deliver. the meat was overcooked so it was dry and tough. there was a lot of white gravy/sauce which is just too salty. they put a long leaf as a garnish that wasn't supposed to be edible as is. also ordered croissant for take out but that too was dry.

yes i will come back for a freshly baked kouign amann but that's it.

i've heard a lot about tymad bistro from friends. i wanted to try their chocolate mousse but unfortunately they didn't have it during my visit. settled for a croissant and kouign amann with some tea. requested for the pastries to be heated. jam and butter are extras. both the croissant and kouign amann were crusty, flaky and fluffy. the place is nice and intimate. a lof of folks flock here to have breakfast. nice and accessible location.
i would visit again to try their desserts.

i'm biased to give their cheesecakes and choco mousse a perfect 5! taste like no other! i want to give a shout out as the best in town and i'm just near the place.

they have the best blueberry cheesecake in cebu to date. still on desserts, their chocolate mousse is a must-try. pair them with some tea and your date will be perfect. their steaks will not disappoint too.

they apparently have the "best croissant in cebu" distinction as proven by a sign proudly displayed on their counter. i am not sure if it is the best but it is very, very good! you will be able to taste the butter used in the bread.

we tried a lot of other stuff and here's our verdict:
1. croissant - love the buttery flavor
2. paté - sooooo good! i like how you can taste the meat and it goes perfectly with the mustard and gherkins
3. onion soup - bland but the bread and cheese on top was perfectly toasted and added the right texture to the dish.
4. english breakfast set - yes, my friend ordered this in a french bistro but she loved it
5. hanger steak - i asked for medium and mine came out well done. it looked ugly and smothered in red wine sauce. did not like it.

now if we stopped there i would've given this a 2.5 rating but we tried out the cakes and... waaaaw!

6. apple tartan (not sure of the spelling) with vanilla cream sauce - best i've tasted ever! the apples were sweet, cinnamon was just right - just loved it.

7. almond walnut cake - my favorite dish here. it was a tart with a layer of almond and walnut paste (i think) and topped with best quality dark chocolate ganache. next time i should buy a whole cake to bring back home.

service was also top notch. the wait staff was so friendly and they were delighted with this baby that they were helping the mom keep an eye on her. one of the waiters kept on bringing the baby back to the mom whenever she crawled too far away from the mom. so cute!

with all of those food we ordered, we spent roughly php1000 per person (2 pax only) which is cheap considering the quality of food and service.

please try this place out!

their specialty is buckwheat crapes. great for dessert and breakfast/ brunching. a bit pricy but worth the brunch ambiance. if you don't know what to order, go with the classic, butter and sugar crape. (its real french butter)

went to this french-inspired place for dessert, i tried their mango kiss. i was a bit disappointed though because it was not that cold. but the taste was delish and could have been tastier if it had been cold. their meals here are quite pricey. service was good and the staff were friendly.
