disappointed. huge let down. i have heard so manygoodthings about this resturant and finally got to try it tonight for mother's day. so disappointed. we were sat promptly and the server was very informative and friendly, however that is where the positives stopped. the manger on duty who i found outs name was beth was sorting the orders as they came up being an open kitchen and all was visable not only did we get to see her awful attitude to her employees but we were able to see the fact that she was picking up dropped food from the counter and placing it back on the plates and rearranging the food with her bare hands... even better she did it twice after she licked her fingers and once after she rubbed her face nose included with both hands. i watched the food like a hawk and she didn't touch my family's the server was given it directly from the kitchen staff who were gloved and seemed to be working properly. we picked at our food the burger was horrible and very dry certainly not worth the price the mac n cheese was dry and not what's expected at all my daughters burger was crispy it was so over cooked. the only thing worth eating was the salad and the bacon off the burgers. i had looked so forward to trying this resturant and it was such a huge let down!

the breakfast here is prettygoodbut our server seemed not to enjoy his job and gave the impression he wanted to rush taking our order as if we had done something wrong. it just made the dining experience less pleasant and unfortunately left a less favorable impression of the establishment.

we've tried tupelo in greenville once and decided this time to try it for brunch in chattanooga. options were interesting. husband had the sweet potato pancakes with banana pudding. they were pretty tasty but they were so big that he could only eat half. waste of food. i got the avocado toast and egg. it was decent. daughter ordered chicken and biscuits and it was ok, but way too salty. love the biscuits and jam they bring to the table. so all in all it wasgoodbut not great.

this is simply agoodrestaurant. the biscuit given to every customer is phenomenal and the blueberry jam is on point. try their cracklin fries, essentially soft boiled potato that is then fried for crispy finish. it's one of those sunday brunch places you take agoodlooking girl you want to impress while eating your face off.

oh my gosh. i can not say enoughgoodthings about the super southern breakfast bowl! it is layer upon layer of utter goodness.

their honey and biscuits are fantastic, and breakfast for dinner was perfect.  daniel had the chicken and biscuits, while i tried the country breakfast and jack had the kids sweet potato pancakes. my only complaint about tupelo honey is that they change their menu and don't always have the same breakfast offerings. i can always count ongoodhoney and biscuits though!

gave it a try. it was ok but not all that. we got the pimento cheese and chips appetizer, and i got the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. the sandwich wasgoodbut my fries were cold. since i ate the yummy biscuit they brought out before the appetizer, i didn't complain about the fries being cold.
the grilled chicken sandwich and the pre-dinner biscuit were the best part of our dining experience.

great experience.. came on a monday night for dinner with a friend and was seated immediately. our server was very friendly and attentive, quick with suggestions about the menu and explanations of new items (the menus have recently been redone, but as this was my first visit i couldn't tell you the differences).

we had the fried green tomatoes starter, which came on a bed of the goat cheese grits. heaven on a plate, seriously.

to help balance that out a little i ordered a veggie plate, choosing the mashed cauliflower, black-eyed peas, and asparagus. it came with a biscuit on the side - a bit dense for a biscuit, but with agoodflavor and some excellent blueberry jam and real tupelo honey for toppings. everything was wonderful, even my leftovers when reheated the next day. it was nice to have a slightly healthier version of down home cooking with fresh options available (even though the asparagus was likely the only healthy thing on my plate, as anything as tasty as the mashed cauliflower has to have some unhealthy things added in to make it taste that good!). i'll definitely be back!

its ok... not "blowing my mind" good. so, this place came to town with a great reputation in a food city (asheville). i have been here now three times, and each time i expect it to be amazing. each time, it has just been ok. better than average but not mind-blowing. i am left feeling disappointed. it is still agoodmeal. its just that it suffers from too high of expectations that it doesn't quite meet. oh well. i'll likely eat here again... like it... but not be amazed by it.

verygoodexperience on saturday afternoon with my wife! we enjoyed it the food was fresh and tasty as well as plentiful portion wise. it was clean and new. the value was good. the staff was polite and informative about the menu and gave suggestions on choices. our waiter had two other servers assisting him we never had to wait very long for service. we were seated almost immediately and were pleased with that too . we started with the tupelo chicken wings and they were fresh large and tasty,sweet but not spicy. we both had soup and sandwiches for our entree. i enjoyed the fried chicken blt and cheesy onion cream soup. hearty and delicious. my wife had tomato soup and the uptown grill two kinds of grilled cheese sandwich. havarti and cheddar. we will be back often i am sure of that! we plan to bring our out of town guests who visit. parking was not hard nor to difficult to find. many downtown restaurants are much harder to find accessible parking.

went on a friday night and the were very busy , but service wasgood. the trout was awesome and full of flavor. my husband had the grilled cheese & onion bisque soup and he thought it had tons of flavor !

i have been to tupelo twice and i have to say that both times it far exceeded my expectations. having eaten at the location in knoxville before i knew to expect a wait.goodfood takes time. the kitchen in this location is extremely small as well, which could account for some delays expressed in other reviews. i felt like both times i ate here the wait both for a table and for my food was entirely reasonable, and my food came out hot and fresh. both times i had the charleston chicken sandwhich.

i thought the staff seemed well versed in the specials and seasonal menu items, so i wonder if the other reviews just got a person on their first day or something.

i will definitely be back to this restaurant and tell all my friends to go check it out.
