hands down our new favorite breakfast/lunch spot!!! never did my son and i imagine we would enjoy asteamedbagel breakfast sandwich and a wafel with no syrup as much as we did!! it was so good that after he ordered the wafel and i ordered the sunrise bagel...we turned around and ordered another round and switched...i had wafel and he had sandwich, in the same sitting!!! lol from the moment we walked in till the moment we left we felt so welcomed and at home!!! the staff and owners treated us and every customer as if we were their family, their favorite customer, their best friend, and the only people in there...which of course we were not, they had a full
house, inside and out!!! they have a full stocked coffee bar with tons of flavor combos, they have fresh smoothies made to order...and if you want something custom that's not on their menu, they make it with a smile!!! you can eat outside and enjoy people watching and the beautiful weather it inside and enjoy all the cool art and funky decorations on the walls, either way, you will not be disappointed!!! i am so glad to have found this place while spending time at a friends timeshare, and even happier that i only live in port charlotte, so i can enjoy their great food & atmosphere more then once a year!!!! thank you tuckaway staff for a wonderful first impression...we will be back and have already spread the word!!! i hope many more will read the reviews and go there...because they may be a small, 'tucked away' little place...but there is nothing small, little or tucked away, when it comes to great food and great customer service at tuckaway bagel and wafel cafe!!!

personal and delicious!. tuckaway bagel was a hard to find (hence the name tuckaway) in fort meyers, but boy was it worth the hunt. these bagels weresteamedand out of this world. the owners were friendly and explained to us every menu choice and how the bagels and waffles were made. the homemade taste was unmatched and my husband and i will definitely be going back. (we visited in august 2011)

tuckaway bagel & waffle at 1740 estero blvd (beach side of the street one shop north from the intersection of miramar st) is a not-so-easy-to-find spot but they have the most awesome belgian waffle outside of belgium, and possibly even in the world. it’s made with “pearl sugar” (ask tasha what that is when you’re there) and can be had with home made whip cream topping – highly recommended. if you want savory instead of sweet, opt for one of thesteamedbagels. i recommend the mcgregor or tasha’s secret. all the bagel sandwiches aresteamedwhich melts the cheese and softens the bagel for a truly fantastic meal.

worth the flight!. i live in nyc but was recently in fort myers beach for a family wedding and stopped in to the tuckaway for lunch. i have to say without a doubt this is my favorite restaurant/cafe i've ever been to. if this was in ny i'd be there daily. the waffles, while not your traditional waffle and more of a desert than a meal, are absolutely mouth-watering! thesteamedbagel sandwiches are completely satisfying and made with so much care and perfection that as soon as you finish one you'll be thinking about the next time you can sink your teeth into another. very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable staff. i highly recommend this spot for anyone in the southern us or anyone in flying distance for that matter! you won't be disappointed, i promise.

we were in ft. myers beach for a week and this is by far the best place to get breakfast, lunch, or just a good cup of coffee. thesteamedbagel sandwiches are healthy and filling( try the greenpeace) the liege waffles are amazing ( topped with homemade whipped cream), and the coffee is excellent. i can't wait to come back and share this charming little place with friends.

absolutely yummy belgian liege wafels,steamedbagel sandwiches, coffee drinks & smoothies!. we are just beginning our vacation and had a wonderful experience at tuckaway. don't go with the norm...you've got to try this place...you won't regret it!!! it's cozy indoor-outdoor atmosphere will make you feel right at home and like you want to hang out with your laptop for hours. the belgian liege wafels are fantastic and make you feel like you can't stop at just one (and for those watching their waistlines, they're only 340 calories). they also have an assortment ofsteamedbagel sandwiches (breakfast and more) that are delicious. t he owners, tasha and sam, will make you feel right at home. i know we'll be stopping by frequently while we're here!

the best coffee shop!!. the tuckaway bagel & wafel cafe is a must! my friends and i stumbled across this treasure and ended up staying for a couple of hours! the owner's are so personable and the coffee is delicious. when you go you must try the wafel. it is absolutely amazing! also, thesteamedbagel sandwiches are fabulous. really everything there is great! i wish i lived closer so i could go every day!

worth the drive. this cozy cafe has all the charm of a european cafe., the food is amazing, the best liage belgium waffles in florida (really), i triedsteamedbagels there for the first time, incredible and lets not forget the coffee delicious, this is a must try, they trat you like family, we drove from miami and will continue to stop there when in ft. meyers...

tuckaway(the old internet cafe) fort myers beach. just had the best cup of coffee in southwest florida at one of the very few shops that serves lavazza espresso, and a variety of other lavazza blends, along with some of the finest original pastries and quick 'gourmet' meals fully prepared in this kitchen (not delivered and reheated!). the owners are french and the sevice is over the top; artists they are and the waffle and frozen key lime pie are incomparable. do not miss this stop along the way; just a few steps from downtown fmb on the beach side with indoor outdoor seating and plenty of atmosphere. i am now a committed regular for the coffee, then some - and more.... certainly it is easy to find yourself here!!!!!!

awesome!. the tuckaway is by far the best place in ft. myers for a great morning cup of coffee and even lunch for many of their original food items! if you've never had asteamedbagel sandwich, you are missing out. my husband and i both had the sunrise breakfast bagel and it was amazing! my brother-in-law had the chocolate chip bagel with nutella and cream cheese! wow. you have to visit the tuckaway if you are looking for a great place to eat thats healthy and simple. the atmosphere is very laid back and tasha and sam are great, friendly people who have done an awesome job of making this bagel and wafel cafe, one of those places you cant wait to get up and get to! we will be back!

must go. my husband and i love this place, what an unexpected treasure hidden away and we sat on the patio, it was really nice, but the food was incredible, i had my firststeamedbagel sandwich at first i thought it sounded weird but, i was hungry, i had with pastrami, roast beef, tomato, their sauce, pepperjack, colby, it was soo good!
my husband had a liege belgium waffle that was out of this world excellent too. i kept eating his and he was getting mad, it didn't even need anything on top, the flavor was so right on. we were also able to use their computers and make copies/ fax some things, it was their first day in business today and the owners were really nice. i give this place 5 stars my husband loves the coffee its european
