i never really visualized myself as a streettacofoodie but torchy's has changed my mind, stomach and heart!
my favorite location ( they have multiple) is cedar park.
coming in the norm is to get in line in the queue until you move up in front of the cash register and order.- get your number- decide inside or patio, hang your number on the tree oleft over from mockingjay part 1). very short wait unless packed to the hilt!!! adult beverages served from bar to your table or self serve sodas- lots of choice and flavors on tap beer wise and soda pop wise- really good maine root came sugar flavors along with mexican cola and the routines too. or
you can do what i do and go find a seat at the bar- inside or out! i recommend establishing a rapport with jessica or spencer or one of the other great bartenders because they are so good by your second visit they are already offering you what you want! i highly recommend the margaritas and the mexican martini's!
i can't start without the green chile queso which i order without the extra cilantro. my hubster who came along has such great self control he can just eat 2-3 chips and stop noshing...not so with me.....i'm dedicated until there is no queso to be had!!!
and then there's the tacos themselves....excellent about sums it up! i've tried quite a few- take my advice , these are stuffed with great ingredients - two is a good size meal!!!! the regular menu has some delicious , interesting flavor combinations. amongst them the trailer park- trashy , the fried avacado and the baha shrimp and mr pinkie (salmon) would be my top choices, but there is also a secret menu and my ultimate favorite resides there, it's called the hipster and is a piece of panko coated ahi tuna lightly fried with some pickled carrot and cabbage- creamy avacado sauce and bacon.... on corn or flour-it's just so dang good i'm stuck on it and not changing until i've had my fill of them.
you really can't go wrong here-the food, beverages and service are outstanding!
nice patio at several of their locations. full bar in round rock and cedar park- other locations do have beer and wine.
enjoy!!!

i really had a goodtacohere. you choose the ingredients. although it was good, it was not great! not sure what else could be done, but it's a good taco. not good enough to eat very often though. the food was pretty fast.

not remember which kind oftacoi picked but it tasted really good and comes with cheap price i thought. be sold in a food truck and located in a park, the weather was very very hot, but since we were extremely hungry, all was fine.

my question is, who doesn't love torchys? i usually stick with the trailer trashtaco- extra trashy. they also have the best mango/habenero margaritas too. staff is always nice too.

torchy's is consistently good at all locations that i have been too. two tacos fills me up. i prefer the corn tortillas. the quesso with guach in the middle is my favorite quesso. i also really enjoy the little nookies fried cookie dough dessert. i tried the south poletacothis month with lamb and it might be my favoritetaconow. it's spicy and sweet.

we have eaten at torchy's many times. this is a popular place and usually has a little bit of a wait, which is understandable. tonight we went to torchy's and placed a to go order. after waiting 30 minutes my husband asked why our order was not ready, he was told "i am sorry but the kitchen is backed up". when we asked for a free cookie or soft drink, we were told no. it took about 45 minutes to receive our to go order. i was ready to walk out and demand a refund but my husband wanted the food, plus we had already waited for that long. also, another lady was waiting just as long as us for a called in order!
i won't say the food is bad but they seriously need to step it up in the service department. i'm upset that first of all, we placed a to go order and the cashier did not mention this back up in the kitchen. i mean we are talking about fast casual food here with restaurant wait times! secondly, after we had waited for 30 minutes you couldn't give us a free cookie?
if you have time to spare and want a goodtacothen torchy's is great.

my family and i went to torchy's for the first time yesterday. it was very busy but didn't take long to get through the line. the order taker was very polite and got our order correct. just about every seat was taken but we found one in the very back. the queso came out first and was good. a few minutes later the tacos we ordered came out. my daughter really enjoyed the fried avacodo taco. me and my wife enjoyed the crossroadstacoand bajatacothe best. the green chilitacowas bland. tacos actually had a lot of meat in them. all in all i would definitely go back again in a heart beat. way better than fuzzy's....way better.

trashy tacos!. the trailer parktacomade 'trashy' =without lettuce and with queso is the best. the crossroadstacois a hit too. we like the queso, but the guacamole is even better for an appetizer. two tacos is plenty for a meal. the only thing i don't care for are the maine colas instead of coke or dr. pepper, but they do offer mexican coke in a bottle.

love their food, but service is slow!! i would eat here more often, but the line is long and sometimes they only have one cashier while the secondary person is answering phones or something. wait staff has trouble finding numbers on people's tables... they are always wandering around with handfuls of food and a confused look. line for lunch and dinner is 10-15 min long-they need help. update: really wanted a taco... big mistake... have finished a beer and soda... no food... the line had one person in it when i arrived... it now is backed up to the door... they must be growing the corn back there for my tortilla...turn around don't drowned and go to mi chula instead... unfortunately my last trip here... porktacowas cold, black beans were cold... definitely didn't want to stand in line for beer refill... so long torchy's.

torchy’s continues to be a favorite among austinites and visitors. let’s call it atacoon steroids, with items such as fried avocados, and slow roasted pork. try the trailer parktacowith fried chicken, green chilies, pico de gallo and cheese or theirtacoof the month, “the naughty santa”. definitely leave room for dessert as the warm deep fried chocolate cookies will melt in your mouth.

not your typicaltacoshop. it seems to be a growing trend in the metroplex to push the envelop a little from the usualtacorestaurant - joining the list in southlake is the austin-based torchy's tacos. a very simple, trendy décor and a walk-up ordering format, torchy's offers a good selection of ingredients, salsas and tortilla. the soft drinks are all of there own mix, so you won't get a coke or a dr. pepper with your taco. i was in the mood for seafood, so i ordered the mr. pink and mr. orange. the pink is seared ahi tuna with cabbage, cilantro and a chipotle sauce on a corn tortilla and the orange is blackened salmon with a corn and black bean relish, cilantro and a avocado sauce on a corn tortilla. the pink was ok, but i probably wouldn't order it next time i'm in. the orange was really good - the salmon was great and the avocado sauce really made thetaco- and i'm not a huge guacamole fan. i wish they offered some sort of combo - like 2 tacos, side and drink, but everything is a la carte. very unique style oftacoand definitely worth a try.

when i was a kid in the late 60s and early 70s, one of my favorite comic books was hot stuff, the little devil. what does that say about the parenting in those days, eh? what says wholesome like reading about a devil in a diaper! of course he performed good deeds, but still.... anyway, it appears torchy's felt it the perfect emblem for their budding chain, and even add the moniker "damn good tacos", which they proudly light up in the interior of the restaurant. my, such potty mouths... austin based torchy's is the latest high endtacoplace to infiltrate northeast tarrant county. like their brethren fuzzy's, funky baja's,tacodiner, and tacos y mas, torchy's provides a range of tacos far beyond the usual crunchy ground beef, or taqueria styled "street tacos". ingredients such as pork green chile, fried chicken, ahi tuna, blackened salmon, jalapeno sausage, and jerk chicken, with an array of salsa's
