i never really visualized myself as a street taco foodie but torchy's has changed my mind, stomach and heart!
my favorite location ( they have multiple) is cedar park.
coming in the norm is to get in line in the queue until you move up in front of the cash register and order.- get your number- decide inside or patio, hang your number on the tree oleft over from mockingjay part 1). very short wait unless packed to the hilt!!! adult beverages served from bar to your table or self serve sodas- lots of choice and flavors on tap beer wise and soda pop wise- really good maine root came sugar flavors along with mexican cola and the routines too. or
you can do what i do and go find a seat at the bar- inside or out! i recommend establishing a rapport with jessica or spencer or one of the other great bartenders because they are so good by your second visit they are already offering you what you want! i highly recommend the margaritas and the mexican martini's!
i can't start without the green chile queso which i order without the extra cilantro. my hubster who came along has such great self control he can just eat 2-3 chips and stop noshing...not so with me.....i'm dedicated until there is no queso to be had!!!
and then there's the tacos themselves....excellent about sums it up! i've tried quite a few- take my advice , these are stuffed with great ingredients - two is a good size meal!!!! the regular menu has some delicious , interesting flavor combinations. amongst them the trailer park- trashy , the fried avacado and the baha shrimp and mr pinkie (salmon) would be my top choices, but there is also a secret menu and my ultimate favorite resides there, it's called the hipster and is a piece of panko coated ahi tuna lightly fried with some pickled carrot and cabbage- creamy avacado sauce and bacon.... on corn or flour-it's just so dang good i'm stuck on it and not changing until i've had my fill of them.
you really can't go wrong here-the food, beverages and service are outstanding!
nice patio at several of their locations. full bar in round rock and cedar park- other locations do have beer and wine.
enjoy!!!

i really had a good taco here. you choose the ingredients. although it was good, it was not great! not sure what else could be done, but it's a good taco. not good enough to eat very often though. the food was pretty fast.

i studied the menu in a hungover daze for about an hour trying to decide what to do before finally deciding, "fuck it," and buying a bottle of lactaid so that i could have the green chile queso dip and some tacos with creamy sauces.

not remember which kind of taco i picked but it tasted really good and comes with cheap price i thought. be sold in a food truck and located in a park, the weather was very very hot, but since we were extremely hungry, all was fine.

these tacos are some of the best i’ve ever had; so good, i had to create a new profile on this site just to leave a review. loved the dirty sanchez and the fried avocado. queso is so good. rice was alright. i like that they have cane sugar sodas on their fountain. the poblano cream salsa is sooooo good. i could drink that stuff.

my question is, who doesn't love torchys? i usually stick with the trailer trash taco - extra trashy. they also have the best mango/habenero margaritas too. staff is always nice too.

the best mexican restaurant for tacos ever!

my husband often visits houston and dallas for work and has been raving about torchy's tacos for 3 years. we finally got the opportunity to visit the infamous restaurant during our trip to usa in may 2016.

we ordered the chicken fajita tacos, queso and chips, as well as took a bottle of their infamous torchy's diablo sauce to carry back home to dubai.

undoubtedly the best queso i have ever had. we got the chicken tacos with diablo sauce which is the spiciest and it was well worth the 3 year wait!

love the fact that they have a variety of sauce options to please everyones palette.

the line on a friday morning at lunch time was incredible (since its self service) but we were determined to wait the 20-25 minutes to take away our lunch..

we even have the souvenir torchy's tshirt!

between my husband and i we ordered 4 tacos (2 democrat's, 1 mr. pink, and 1 fried avacado) with green chili queso & chips. the chips held is over until the tacos showed up. all of it was delicious. i am not a cilantro fan, but i couldn't even taste it because the rest of the ingredients were more prevalent. so that was a plus (for me). all around a well balanced late night meal.

torchy's is consistently good at all locations that i have been too. two tacos fills me up. i prefer the corn tortillas. the quesso with guach in the middle is my favorite quesso. i also really enjoy the little nookies fried cookie dough dessert. i tried the south pole taco this month with lamb and it might be my favorite taco now. it's spicy and sweet.

we have eaten at torchy's many times. this is a popular place and usually has a little bit of a wait, which is understandable. tonight we went to torchy's and placed a to go order. after waiting 30 minutes my husband asked why our order was not ready, he was told "i am sorry but the kitchen is backed up". when we asked for a free cookie or soft drink, we were told no. it took about 45 minutes to receive our to go order. i was ready to walk out and demand a refund but my husband wanted the food, plus we had already waited for that long. also, another lady was waiting just as long as us for a called in order!
i won't say the food is bad but they seriously need to step it up in the service department. i'm upset that first of all, we placed a to go order and the cashier did not mention this back up in the kitchen. i mean we are talking about fast casual food here with restaurant wait times! secondly, after we had waited for 30 minutes you couldn't give us a free cookie?
if you have time to spare and want a good taco then torchy's is great.

torchy's is pretty good, so i decided to branch out a little and try two brushfires. one was really oily and one wasn't, i was expecting a different texture from the jerk chicken, and i unfortunately wasn't a fan of the jalapenos(which i was expecting to be crunchy not soggy) or the mango. however, the queso was good and i'm sure other tacos might be better for me.

what you come to expect with torchy's. this truck gets busy during the day but plenty of outdoor seating. you'll find picnic tables outside and some covered seating. do yourself a favor and get the queso.

my family and i went to torchy's for the first time yesterday. it was very busy but didn't take long to get through the line. the order taker was very polite and got our order correct. just about every seat was taken but we found one in the very back. the queso came out first and was good. a few minutes later the tacos we ordered came out. my daughter really enjoyed the fried avacodo taco. me and my wife enjoyed the crossroads taco and baja taco the best. the green chili taco was bland. tacos actually had a lot of meat in them. all in all i would definitely go back again in a heart beat. way better than fuzzy's....way better.
