i never really visualized myself as a street taco foodie but torchy's has changed my mind, stomach and heart!
my favorite location ( they have multiple) is cedar park.
coming in the norm is to get in line in the queue until you move up in front of the cash register and order.- get your number- decide inside or patio, hang your number on the tree oleft over from mockingjay part 1). very short wait unless packed to the hilt!!! adult beverages served from bar to your table or self serve sodas- lots of choice and flavors on tap beer wise and soda pop wise- really good maine root came sugar flavors along with mexican cola and the routines too. or
you can do what i do and go find a seat at the bar- inside or out! i recommend establishing a rapport with jessica or spencer or one of the other great bartenders because they are so good by your second visit they are already offering you what you want! i highly recommend the margaritas and the mexican martini's!
i can't start without the green chile queso which i order without the extra cilantro. my hubster who came along has such great self control he can just eat 2-3 chips and stop noshing...not so with me.....i'm dedicated until there is no queso to be had!!!
and then there's the tacos themselves....excellent about sums it up! i've tried quite a few- take my advice , these are stuffed with great ingredients - two is a good size meal!!!! the regular menu has some delicious , interesting flavor combinations. amongst them the trailer park- trashy , thefriedavacado and the baha shrimp and mr pinkie (salmon) would be my top choices, but there is also a secret menu and my ultimate favorite resides there, it's called the hipster and is a piece of panko coated ahi tuna lightlyfriedwith some pickled carrot and cabbage- creamy avacado sauce and bacon.... on corn or flour-it's just so dang good i'm stuck on it and not changing until i've had my fill of them.
you really can't go wrong here-the food, beverages and service are outstanding!
nice patio at several of their locations. full bar in round rock and cedar park- other locations do have beer and wine.
enjoy!!!

these tacos are some of the best i’ve ever had; so good, i had to create a new profile on this site just to leave a review. loved the dirty sanchez and thefriedavocado. queso is so good. rice was alright. i like that they have cane sugar sodas on their fountain. the poblano cream salsa is sooooo good. i could drink that stuff.

between my husband and i we ordered 4 tacos (2 democrat's, 1 mr. pink, and 1friedavacado) with green chili queso & chips. the chips held is over until the tacos showed up. all of it was delicious. i am not a cilantro fan, but i couldn't even taste it because the rest of the ingredients were more prevalent. so that was a plus (for me). all around a well balanced late night meal.

torchy's is consistently good at all locations that i have been too. two tacos fills me up. i prefer the corn tortillas. the quesso with guach in the middle is my favorite quesso. i also really enjoy the little nookiesfriedcookie dough dessert. i tried the south pole taco this month with lamb and it might be my favorite taco now. it's spicy and sweet.

my family and i went to torchy's for the first time yesterday. it was very busy but didn't take long to get through the line. the order taker was very polite and got our order correct. just about every seat was taken but we found one in the very back. the queso came out first and was good. a few minutes later the tacos we ordered came out. my daughter really enjoyed thefriedavacodo taco. me and my wife enjoyed the crossroads taco and baja taco the best. the green chili taco was bland. tacos actually had a lot of meat in them. all in all i would definitely go back again in a heart beat. way better than fuzzy's....way better.

torchy’s continues to be a favorite among austinites and visitors. let’s call it a taco on steroids, with items such asfriedavocados, and slow roasted pork. try the trailer park taco withfriedchicken, green chilies, pico de gallo and cheese or their taco of the month, “the naughty santa”. definitely leave room for dessert as the warm deepfriedchocolate cookies will melt in your mouth.

when i was a kid in the late 60s and early 70s, one of my favorite comic books was hot stuff, the little devil. what does that say about the parenting in those days, eh? what says wholesome like reading about a devil in a diaper! of course he performed good deeds, but still.... anyway, it appears torchy's felt it the perfect emblem for their budding chain, and even add the moniker "damn good tacos", which they proudly light up in the interior of the restaurant. my, such potty mouths... austin based torchy's is the latest high end taco place to infiltrate northeast tarrant county. like their brethren fuzzy's, funky baja's, taco diner, and tacos y mas, torchy's provides a range of tacos far beyond the usual crunchy ground beef, or taqueria styled "street tacos". ingredients such as pork green chile, friedchicken, ahi tuna, blackened salmon, jalapeno sausage, and jerk chicken, with an array of salsa's

it's a fine taco. torchy's makes a fine taco. i've eaten at their establishments twice. once, at their food truck, which was excellent, and the second time, at one of their brick and mortar stores a little north (can't remember the street), which was less impressive. still, they make a fine taco. thefriedavacado is a winner. the brush fire is great, but ridiculously hot.

dallas recently got a torchy's. while i am excited about this, i found another place in dallas that might outdo torchy's. i hate to compare, but good 2 go taco is my new godsend for innovative, wonderful gringo tacos. if y'all are ever in the (obviously less cool) dallas, stop by good 2 go for a slice of taco heaven.
