dissappointing. to sit and watch as tables around us were sat, served and billed whilst being promised our food was "on its way" is unacceptable. we had a booking and were promptly sat and given menus but delayed service meant we were ready to order our food as well as our drinks. our drinks came out after our order was double checked with us and we were given another table's beans as a starter. after a third round of drinks and no food we again questioned where our meals were and were told they were being plated. upon clearing the table, our waitress smashed a wine glass off the table, apologised and asked if we were interested in dessert. thinking it couldn't get worse we obliged and ordered three different plates - banana pancakes, wasabi cheesecake and ice cream selection to which we were told the cheesecake was sold out. our wait for desserts was filled with being offered another table's drinks and someone coming to clean the broken glass.
after discussing the night's 'festivities' with whom we assumed was the manager, our desserts came free and because, for whatever reason our drinks hadn't been rung on, they came free too. this by no meansmadeup for their appalling service, lack of apology or acceptance of fault but was at least an attempt. the food, however, did make up for what was, overall, a dissastisfying dining experience.
