tonico cafe

writing review after my second visit. first visit, it was late nite. so menu was almost exhausted. thistimeit was a pretty evening n thought of giving a shot. so i was lookin for t bone steak. unfortunately it was not available so went for beef steak. i should say it wasnt really good. frm the preparation itself i shud say , they have boiled it before fry. which is like killing the dish. the way it was served, vegetables looked like they had a late nite release n sleep deprived. i would say go for some normal dishes that doesnt need lot of attention. some things are legacy. not everyone can master it. keep trying guys. one day things might change.
parking wise lot of space. ambience wise indoor is like not cleaned floor. u feel like they hav nt cleaned for years. some sort of improv required.

this is a very popular place in kochi. love their steak,cakes and their breakfast. but the place is very crowded. the staffs are very friendly and food does not take muchtimeto come on table.

the veg steak is yum. pasta is ok. eachtimethe quality of belgium chocolate keeps coming down.

taste wise food was good. but i had issues with packaging. caesars salad was not properly packed and taped and contents spilled outside and all over other food parcels. not an appetizing thing. otherwise fine. writing it so restaurant will take more care nexttimeownards

it was a rush day. just had a shorttimeat this cafe. past our lunchtimeso just had a cappuccino and it was good.

the men's wash room though clean, door was difficult to close and water spray handle was broken. some maintenance required on this part. more reviews on food & ambiance next time.

i liked the lemon mojito. tuna sandwich was not so filling. nexttimethat i visit, i may try their beef burger.

tonico is always an experience to be, be it the food or just spendingtimethere. love the food and the friendly staff with great hospitality in their approach. tonico will remain a go to place for me, always.

heard about this cafe alot but couldn't go until recently. even though the waitingtimewas long the food was delicious. the steak was tender and juicy. but what i loved dthe most was crusted fried chicken. it was on the special menu and was really awesome.

once it used to be my favorite place to meet up and work.
expect a waitingtimeof 1 hour even if the place is empty. the food lacks flavour and creativity. their hot chocolate is just good life milk with hershey's powder, that too they put less which makes the whole thing taste like plain milk.
hope the management does something about it fast.
friendly staff is the only good side.

recommended as a hangout place, not for food. the chicken omlet and club sandwitch was of poor quality. pricing is no we're matching the taste. deliverytimeis also quite high.

highly hyped. the flavours are decent and options are satisfactory. i guess more than the flavour of the food it’s the service of the staff that needs a thumbs up. slightly on the pricy side as well. sandwiches could definitely do better!
i think it’s abouttimetonico cafe brought about some changes in their menu.

heard a lot of good reviews about tonico cafe, so we decided to give it a try. ordered the blood orange drink, cafe mocha, carolina cheeseburger and the mushroom omelette. both our drinks were nice. the carolina cheeseburger was really good, and i loved the fact that it had a fried egg inside. but the mushroom omelette was bad. it had too much masala inside and had more onions and tomatoes than the mushroom, which ruined what could have been a simple and nice dish.

we also ordered the beef steak, and after waiting for what felt like a long time, we realised that the waiter had not written that order down, but according to him we apparently didn't ask for the beef steak (which we had because the both of us heard our friend order it). anyway we didn't try the beef steak because we had already spent a longtimewaiting for an order we thought we placed, but apparently was actually never placed. so, we were not very happy with the service we got.

but i believe the cafe has some good food though it's on the expensive side, a very lovely ambiance, and proper parking space.
i wish my first experience here was better than what we had to get.

great place ,awesome ambience,superb food and all this at an affordable price point.kudos .we keep coming back here eachtimewhen we are around kakkanad.

well must say a pretty good hang out spot, there seems to be a huge crowd at night, well the food is just ok, i mean it was good the firsttimei went there, but i guess the quality has deteriorated. warning do not drink the crushers there, it’s just water with a lot of sugar syrup.

there isn’t much options in kochi when it comes to beat late night hunger pangs. after driving around a longtimeto find a decent place, i couldn’t have been more excited to find tonico.

even though it was past 12 in night, the cafe was pretty lively to my surprise. we got in and settled but no staffs came to attend us even after waiting for a while. later, we had to call them for taking the order. it didn’t bother us much though. we ordered for french fries, caramel flavoured coffee, waffle, and mojito raspberry. everything was great except the waffle which was a little dry.

it is a very happening place, there is big screen for entertainment, variety of food options, honest pricing and is open till 2 am. consider this place if you’re looking for a hang out especially in the late night. recommended!
