low b. "awesome", was my 9 year olds' response. well not, awesome to all of us, but certainly a satisfactory americana breakfast experience. let's say the original pancake house experience is up there in the 90th percentile, the queue notwithstanding. tom's would be easily pushing 80. in short: pluses: the banana pancake was full of flavor, the poached eggs were runny on the inside (cooked on the outside), the kid's pancake plate could've fed my 9 year old (with sausage or bacon and drink for under $5). not so hots: the french toast was dry (maybe they saved me 80 calories by minimizing the butter when cooking? :)), thewaitressincorrectly estimated the size of the dollar pancakes (any dollar that size wouldn't fit in your pocket), thewaitressasked us all to pass up our water glasses while we were eating to save her from walking around the table (what is that all about?).
all in all, we would return again....but maybe not so quickly if beaverton offered other good brunchy options, because, it doesn't. so i would hate to say i would return because it is close and conveinent, but we all know the truth, location, location, location....oh, and really fair prices.
