awesome!!. a great spot forbreakfaston the peninsula. it's fast, under $10 for two, and has great food.

on a rainy sunday night, this was the perfect place to have a late night bite. simple menu, including all daybreakfastand root beer floats. old fashion diner decor, with friendly staff.

so good! so many delicious options to choose from! seems like a "hole-in-the-wall" type place, but the food and service was great! get thebreakfastpoutine, it might sound a bit strange, but oh, so good!

busy or empty(which i have never seen service is fast food is good and place is clean. i worked in suffolk and would drive over ever friday forbreakfastlove it!!!!!!!

not sure who wrote the reviews but our meal was one of the worst we ever had. the food on my plate had been sitting around for hours. the sausages were rock hard and burnt. i don't recommend havingbreakfasta this place.

good place forbreakfastor diner/comfort food. i usually get the classic forbreakfastand it almost always just hits the spot. i've had other things on the menu when i am feeling more adventurous, such as burgers, chili fries etc... there is really nothing to complain about here. the atmosphere is good, i like the posters they have up, and i like the cartoons they play on tv.

horrible experience. when i usually eat here i usually have good service but today it was horrible. first off i ordered the combinationbreakfastwith hash browns eggs and bacon. when i received my food the hash browns looked like they were cooked ahead of time and just warm up as well as my eggs. the bacon was cold and not crispy it just look like the whole plate was just sitting and warmed up...i had them to remake my order a second time and it was worse as if they just rushed because i was complaining...the other party that was with me still ate her food but the waiter never really came over to check on us after i finally told them that i didn't want my food. spoke with the manager and she was worse than her staff....i will never be returning!!!!!

what you want a diner to be. tommy's is cash and check only. it is only open forbreakfastand lunch. it is, at times, loud, packed and fast-paced. the service is prompt and pleasant. the food is plentiful, often-greasy and priced reasonably. the coffee is always hot and ready. if you seek the traditional food and experience of a diner, you'll find few options better than tommy's.

bang for your buck!!. tommy's serves greatbreakfastfood for an incredible value! i usually get the combination breakfast. as the name implies, you have a lot of options, e.g., choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, and it comes with a ton of food, all for about $6. i once tried the chicken fried steak and was not impressed, but i will certainly vouch for the deliciousness of theirbreakfastfood! make sure you have cash when you go unless you want to wash dishes all afternoon. actually, there is an atm as you enter, but if you don't want to pay atm fees, bring a bill or two. service is experienced, fast, and efficient. the line to get in can be long sometimes, so you might be pressed for time if you only have an hour for lunch. it's worth making the time to stop in sometime though.

sad that the good people of tommy's allowed a bunch of liberals convince them to turn off fox news, an turn on cnn. well this libertarian will take his 1k per year worth ofbreakfastbuying great tipping self somewhere that listens along with every friend that agrees

yum!!. the food at tommy's is always good and you get a ton of food for practically nothing! there's usually a long line but the wait tends to go fast! thebreakfastand lunch menu are available all day and they have great gyros. i highly recommend this restraunt!

really long wait (outside in the heat), but once we were seated, all of our food came in less than 10 minutes. thebreakfastwas awesome and incredibly cheap and the service was friendly!

another great breakfast!. stopped by tommy's this morning for breakfast. it was delicious. i had fried eggs over medium, they were cooked to perfection. smoked sausage that was juicy and tasty, home fries that were dynamite, and of course their sugnature buttered toast. everything was hot and tasty. great coffee, rich and hot. the service as always was down home and fantastic. lots of smiles and blazing fast on coffee warm ups. i dont care if they take cash only i will walk 10 miles to find an atm just to eat there. but thats not neccesary as they have an atm at the entrance. here i sthe deal. if you havent eaten at tommy's yes, then your missing out on a true hampton roads icon. go eat smile! great job tommy's!

an institution. tommy's is a great all american greasy spoon, turn and burn diner. they do a great job, and aren't tryingt o be anyone else but what they are. you gotta respect that. awesome americanbreakfastand lunch fair. i have eaten there so many times i've lost count and have never been disatisfied with my meal. omelettes, blt's, burgers, chicken fried steak, etc etc. american down home country goodness. so if your dieting ro trying to eat healthy, you may wanna skip tommy's this week. but if your looking for a great place to have a warmbreakfastor lunch with a froend or a colleague, this the perfect little place. be warned they do not take credit cards or check cards, this i think is a mistake in this day and age. i think they made this decision long ago when transactions fees were alot higher, they should revisit that. i think they would see a pleasant response from thier clientel. but again its not like they are hurting for business. tommy's is packed everyday from opening to closing. thats because their service and food is awesome! nice job tommy's

a must try!. i was up in hampton today with my father-in-law and found out about tommy's online. they had gotten such good reviews that we decided to try it, and o boy it was worth the wait!! we got their around 11 and there was already a line to the door but i was glad we stuck it out. we waited maybe 15 minutes and got a seat. they were slammed but our hostess took our drink orders right away and by the time she had the drink to us our waitress was taking our order:) great staff and fun atmosphere. and very good prices! my father-in-law got a pork sandwich that was on special for $5 and it came with fries. i got the salmon cakebreakfastthat came with two salmon cakes, eggs, hash potatoes and toast! huge and delish! we also had two drinks and our total bill was less than $20!! by the time we left around 12pm the line was well out of the door! so worth it! we said that any time we are out in hampton again this is where we will be! a got to try for everyone!

kingston is a cute little town, but honestly there's not much to do, especially on a snowy weekend. mona and i recently went to visit alexa for a weekend and, in the absen ce of activities, w e ended up eating all the time! i swear, t here was not a moment during those two days that i felt hungry! we started the day at tommy's, a 24-h our retro-style diner for a delicious greasybreakfast! every university is in need of a place like this! mona's g uinness pulled pork omelette ($8.99) , served with toast and home fries. alexa'sbreakfastquesadilla ( $7.99)
