tokyo shanghai bistro

wow.. i've eaten at a lot of chinese restaurants in my day but this one delivered from day one.i love dumplings and the pork gyoza did not disappoint. the lemon chicken for my kids was a nice departure from the usual syrupy deep fried fare. this one had tender ,lightly breaded chicken and a subtle but perfect lemon sauce.they should give lessons to other restaurants on how to make sesame chicken. beef teriyaki,shrimp tempura and thai chicken in a peanut curry rounded out our first of many meals.service was nice, restaurant was clean andgreatattitudes on the staff.we live in north bflo but will make this a regular spot for dining and takeout. i need another thumb to reflect how i feel about our first visit. (all thumbs would be in the up position)

best sushi in b-lo! the fish is very fresh and every roll we ordered was excellent. the service was great. i've been looking forgreatsushi in buffalo for sometime and my search is over. eat your heart out kuni's!!

like many americans, i love chinese food. there's just somethinggreatabout it. it doesn't matter if i'm eating in a sit down restaurant or standing in a tiny takeout place gazing up at the severely outdated pictures of entrees from the 70's with a kitchen that would probably fail every health inspection imaginable. i love it. i also love sushi. i could eat infinite amounts of sushi, especially if its good. located on elmwood avenue, in an area where there aregreatplaces for food in every direction, is the toyko shanghi bistro, a fantastic place for chinese and japanese cuisine. the menu is gigantic, the prices are low, and the service is fantastic. on tuesday nights they offer half price on all sushi rolls. nicole and i have been here many times but this is the first i've been back since starting this blog so i wanted to share the experience. if you have been reading my blog regularly you would know that just recently i started eating meet again. its strange how after not eating me

always a good sushi place and then some. my husband and i have been going to tokyo shanghai bistro for years. the servers are always pleasant, the food is always good, and we can get in and out in a timely matter. i'm pescetarian, so the sushi and veggie rolls are always something i can enjoy here, but sometimes i branch out. the food isgreatbut the portions are very large, so unless it's something that saves ok like fried rice (which i got once and it was pretty good) or if my husband is up for splitting it, i don't usually order entrees. the crab rangoon is pretty tasty too; maybe not the best in the area but definitely good when we're in the mood.

the atmosphere is great, the restaurant is clean, and there's a paid parking lot behind the building so i've always been able to find someplace close to walk. overall, i like it, it's a good place to get some sushi, especially if you can catch it at the half-off mark (tuesday and thursday evenings)!

excellent. this place has incredibly good food and atmosphere. staff isgreatand food is delicious. all my friends can agree on tokyo shanghai. parking accross the street at the hospital is without hassle and free if its late at night. the tempura, and tofu dishes are amazing.

great service along with amazing food. excellent quality sushi for agreatprice, what else can you ask for. yum!
