nothing like it's sister restaurant on edgewood. it still has that small home town diner feel and the great food we all love. service is not as personal.

incredible breakfast and worth the wait. i had the low country heap with out the potatoes. so garlicky good! biscuits were a bit of a disappointment. too heavy.

the service here is amazing! the sweet tea is a little different but very tasty. the salmon and cream cheese with eggs is just to die for. i love eating the south west combination is just absolutely delicious. the warm tortilla is the perfect vessel for the black beans, eggs, and pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. my mouth drools before i even get in the door. the prices are not cheap, but they are very affordable. i have also tried the waffles here, they are thick, but fluffy. i love the addition of the powdered sugar, you barely need any syrup with these waffles. i would suggest the chicken and waffles. thumbs up definitely makes a great savory play on the traditional southern fare. if you are looking for a wonderful treat i would suggest the salmon and cream cheese eggs. it is delicate, smooth, and just down right delicious. the food here is served with lots of love and a lot of butter. everything that i have eaten from here is surprisingly awesome!

definitely recommend this place. was looking for a spot near the airport. very busy if you're later tha 9am on the weekend. killer skillet meal with eggs, home fries, peppers, cheese. excellent coffee and fresh biscuit! done! sold! go!

cops like it? must be quality.. after a long morning of driving around downtown attempting to find a place for breakfast around 9am on a sunday (final 4 weekend), i finally stumbled upon thumbs up diner and knew that this was going to be good when i saw 10 policemen & women walking out to their squad cars. fortunately, we managed to avoid the valet parking that was in full swing when we left, but don’t think of this place as a white-tablecloth establishment. - -

diner atmosphere with a modern twist, there is a limited waiting area, but my buddy and i just grabbed seats at the counter. the grilled veggie bagel offered a nice, light option and the extra 2oz of cold smoke salmon i ordered hit the spot. whole wheat biscuits are a must-order, but not out-of-this-world. - -

obey the house rules, bring some cash and go home happy. i would be happy to try this place for something other than breakfast, but due to the limited options during that time of day, i’d say this would be a standby for sunday breakfast in the center of atlanta.

great breakfast!. breakfast at this place is no joke. the breakfast biscuits are so full of ingredients that they are a meal in themselves. don't sleep on the breakfast!

breakfast. you want a quality breakfast.....wait out the line...it is worth it!. the pancakes, chicken and waffles everything is awesome. i am so happy this place is in my neighborhood.

homemade preserves...o my. we got lucky and found this place on the way to the airport (thanks iphone). there was a short wait, but they had a few seats up front for you. we got seated and were greeted by our server who seemed like he was genuinely happy to see us and was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. the menu was full of great sounding things, but we were there for chicken and waffles. the waffle was delicious, the best i've had in a while. the chicken was the strip kind, very juicy and the breading was crispy with a great flavor. the eggs were cooked just like i like them, very runny. then they had homemade peach preserves, it made a perfect combination dropped on top of some savory chicken and fluffy waffle. there were no complaints from our whole table. when pass through again, this will be where we grab breakfast.

mr.breakfast.. come from the northeast where the best diners are located. this felt like coming home. had the chicken and waffles and was completley satisfied and stomach full. great place.

bad service. this establishment closes when they get ready to close. they are not committed to the hours posted. if you come when they decide that they are ready to close, then you get treat like s***t! the food is decent, only thing is it made me sooooooooo sick after being treat like s***t because they decided to close earlier than they usually close.

the only reason why i decided to come around 3pm (an hour before closing) is because it be so crowded and the wait is ridiculous! that is still no reason to be treat the way they treated me. i will never go back to this establishment ever again. there were other patrons arriving at the location after i arrived and they got turned around and treated like s***t as well. these people, as well as myself, called in before hand to ask what time they are scheduled to close and they clearly stated 4:00 pm. instead they closed at 3:20.

so glad to have thumbs up close by. chicken and waffles are a delicious combination. a clusterf--k on saturday mornings but worth the wait if you're not too hungover.

great service, vast menu. this is a great place to get breakfast. a lot of options, a lot of things i've never seen offered anywhere else. they serve big portions for descent prices. their service is awesome; they pay attention and get people in and out quickly.

take a moment to go off the beaten track for this gem. while the waiting line was long the staff moved us through quickly. the food was amazing and well worth the wait. try the portland scramble or the eggs with cream cheese.

way overpriced but damn good... prepare to wait if you show up at breakfast rush.
