three muses

a most pleasant evening. i was a little hesitant to take a group of 7 to a restaurant that didn't take reservations so decided on a sunday evening thinking the crowd would be smaller. we arrived around 6:00 and initially had to split the party up. when the opportunity arose 45 minutes later to sit at one table, the staff was most accommodating. the music was great--davis rogan. fantastic show,greatservice, good food. overall a fun evening.

had an awesome experience. bar seats for dinner with an awesome bar tender. the pork belly and the tempura shrimp were definitely highlights. the drinks were unique and our bartender was hadgreatrecommendations to our tastes. the praline ice cream was a perfect finish.

atmosphere andgreatchoices! love it. been here 4 times in 4 trips. consistently stellar. creative bar staff, ideally sized small plates, always a delightful musical surround. (seriously strong selections in who the bring in. )
the stuffed dates, italian tomato salad, the tempura shrimp. all strong and wiped clean by our table!

nice place. enjoyed our small plates agreatbit. the only complaint i had was how crowded it was. we were stuck between two other parties and space was super tight. busy, busy. the live music was great!

the highlight of our trip!. visited no for the first time the weekend of feb 20. we loved the city, the people and the food. but our favorite spot of the long weekend was three muses. as we listened to french music played by and elderly man on an accordion and another guy on guitar we tried 4 items from the menu. first we had the filet lettuce wraps and were very pleased. next the fries which my wife loved (so did i). the edaname was fantastic with new seasonings instead of the normal plain old salt. but my favorite by far were the best fish tacos i have ever had.

the people next to us had the ravioli and said it was amazing.

worth the wait! sat at the bar and had agreattime talking to guests and servers.

great sandwich. i love the place, the vibe, the music, and bulgolgi beef po-boy hadgreatflavor. i want to return to try more dishes.

wonderful food and music. we ordered several small plates. would highly recommend the steak and cake and the edemame.greatatmosphere to hear original music.

yummy!!. it has been a while since we have been in, but we love, love, love this place!! (sorry for the delay in the review!) the food isgreatand the service is pretty unbelievable, considering the amount of people and the ridiculous drinks i watched them make. i had the feta fries and the tuna tacos (the special). yum!!
the entertainment wasgreat(for the most part). the woman who was singing had a decent voice, but it seemed she was trying to drown out the crowd completely, like maybe she thought she was on broadway or something. she also kept telling "jokes", but nobody laughed, kind of funny and sad at the same time. she did have really cute shoes though. (i notice those type of things!)
we came back in and saw an amazing band the next night, four guys, really good!
we chatted with one of the owners, and ended up seeing her singing at another club on frenchmen st. we thought that was pretty neat! super talented and very nice.
we can't wait to go back to new orleans and visit this place again!!

couldn't have written a better saturday night in nola than the one we had at this place!greatfood,greatmusic,greatnight! feta fries, lamb sliders, and crab wontons, amazing!

pretty, tasty food; weird service. definitely on the pricey side, but this was agreatplace to stop in for a drink and a fancy little plate. i had a beet salad and a drink, and both were really beautifully presented and tasted spectacular.

sort of a weird thing-- when we came in and secured a table, we were asked to "hold the table" by running a credit card... something i've had to do. i guess this is in case of people skipping out on the check? it seemed odd to me. otherwise, the servers alternated between telling us to order drinks at the bar or to order at the table, which was somewhat annoying, considering we each ordered one cocktail and one food item, and that was it. i guess they were trying to pressure us to order more?

anyway, the food and drink were tasty, and for that, i'd say it's worth checking out.

attitude and rudeness rule. okay, everyone read the rave reviews...so we tried to go...twice. the first time we asked the red-headed bartendar for a menu and she pointed and turned her back on us. we left. last night we tried again...ordered a cheese plate and then asked if we could change our order. she told us no i already put in your order. the cheese plate arrived - a joke. compared to the chartres street bistro, mimis on the marigny....sorry i think the three muses thinks they are all that and a bag of chips. we're done. too many othergreatfood places, with good food andgreatservice. we ended up at the something else cafe and hadgreatservice, agreathamburger and fabulous salad.

mixed review.greatatmosphere and music. the menu lookedgreatbut the food was a huge disappointment and overpriced. knowing that you have to eat to sit at a table would keep me from going back.

beautiful food and cocktails - seriously. my glowing review will just add to others here, but it is so well-deserved. we were in nola over the holidays and came here twice in our 6 nights in town - it's that good. we heard two very different jazz groups - bothgreat- and ended up sampling about half of the total menu. hey - we were hungry.

for drinks, the spaghetti western is now one of my guy's all time favorite drinks. he is a huge bourbon fan and loved this drink. lots of the other cocktails looked really tempting, but he just wasn't willing to forgo another spaghetti to try something different.

the dishes are all "small plates" but they are truly a decent size. just to hit a few of the best, the mac and cheese, with tiny meatballs, was superb. just superb. creamy, cheesy, and the meatball addition was brilliant. the pork belly is stupendous, and actually has a foie gras quality - it's that melt-in-your-mouth good. they've already changed the menu since we were there, which says a good deal about their creativity. and as a reformed vegetarian, i did note a good selection of vegetarian dishes.

for dessert, get the banana-mascarpone strudel. it is lightly sweetened, and a beautiful contrast of textures with creamy cheese, crunchy pastry, and banana, and the salty caramel contrasts nicely with the creaminess of the strudel. it wasgreatand we got it both nights.

the bartenders were pleasant, efficient, and madegreatdrinks. both nights we were there one of the owners was there, making sure people were finding seats. yes, it was crowded, and we were lucky to get seats at the bar.

we will absolutely be back the next time we are in town.
