the shrimp shack

with a name like the shrimp shack you would guess that shrimps are their specialty.

hubby and i went for thesurf& turf and thesurf& surf. the garlic shrimps and the chili garlic shrimps were flavorful but most of it was stuck in the shells. i would have enjoyed them better if i didn't have to peel off the shells. the spicy version wasn't that spicy.

the angus beef bbq wasn't great. the shrimp popcorn was mushy and the dipping sauce a bit sweet. the fries were your usual fries.

the plating sure could use improvement. the portions weren't enough to make us feel full. i doubt that we would come back even if we were craving for shrimps.

not worth eating there. the serving’s so little. the beef was so tough. the shrimp was overcooked. service was bad as well. i came during lunch time on a thursday. they only had 3 tables occupied, and the staff was still unaccommodating. i didn’t even bother taking a photo of the food cause the sauces mixed together in the plate, and it just looked gross. i’m not picky with food plating but that was just bad. i ordered theirsurfand turf (if this is the steak + shrimp + macaroni salad one). too much steak sauce, too much shrimp sauce, and way too much mayonnaise. the shrimp’s shell was also still on, and battered and deep fried. so to eat it, you have to peel off the batter along with the shell. why bother putting batter over the shell of the shrimp?! tinamad lang ba magbalat?! really gross food.

worth a visit, i will definitelt try it again. i visited on a sunday, almost closing time but the staff is still up for any customers.

i wanted to try either thesurfand turf, orsurfand surf, but was still slightly full from eating takoyaki (lol). i ordered just the shrimp tempura, which amazingly tasted fresh and not just full of breading.

good ambiance, just a small place that felt more hawaiian-bar-like than it looked.

the only mishap was with the cashier. i had to return my change thrice because she kept getting confused how much to give me back. no judgment here, maybe it was just a long day.

been here several times but today was my first time to try their seafood bowl. still ordered their staple garlic shrimp scampi andsurfand turf. such an enjoyable gastronomic experience. timely serving of food and attentive waitresses. they now issue an o.r.! yay!

shrimp shack is one of my favorite restaurant in robinsons antipolo. i really love their garlic buttered shrimp. i highly recommend theirsurfand turf meal and also theirsurfandsurfmeal. indeed delicious!!!😁

with the combination of yero and wood finishing, accentuated with surfboards and lifesavers plus a big backdrop of a perfectsurfspot, the interiors of this restaurant will certainly bring you to a close-to-authentic surfing-dining experience.

i ordered theirsurfand turf meal that has angus beef bbq, garlic shrimp, macaroni salad, and 2 cups of rice. with all the viands in my dish, i almost ordered an extra cup of rice! i love the garlic shrimps, however, i find it kind of weird that the delicious coating is actually in the shrimp shell. it would have been better if they remove the shell instead. anyhow, it's still delicious and well seasoned! the angus beef bbq is also well marinated and tender.

we were able to try this resto on it's soft opening. we orderedsurfn' turf, baked mac and cheese, chili and garlic shrimp scampi. i loved what i ordered and i can say that the 7pc shrimp with 2 scoops of rice are enough for a regular eater. i combined it with their tss iced tea and it's perfect. also loved the wall mural that shows a hawaiian beach (maybe it's the waikiki) and the background music video shown (beatles and the corrs).
the only downside was it took a while for the orders to arrive. took more than 20 mins and there was a few minutes interval for each dish to be brought at out table. i would definitely come back though. 🍤🍤🍤
