the shrimp shack

with a name like the shrimp shack you would guess that shrimps are their specialty.

hubby and i went for the surf & turf and the surf & surf. the garlic shrimps and the chili garlic shrimps were flavorful but most of it was stuck in the shells. i would have enjoyed them better if i didn't have to peel off the shells. the spicy version wasn't that spicy.

the angus beef bbq wasn't great. the shrimp popcorn was mushy and the dipping sauce a bit sweet. the fries were your usual fries.

the plating sure could use improvement. the portions weren't enough to make us feel full. i doubt that we would come back even if we were craving for shrimps.

the staff are very accommodating ever since we walked inside their store, they assisted us and even offered us their on going promotions. :) the food is okay and the price is reasonable we even scored a promo while we're there. :)

not worth eating there. the serving’s so little. the beef was so tough. the shrimp was overcooked. service was bad as well. i came during lunch time on a thursday. they only had 3 tables occupied, and the staff was still unaccommodating. i didn’t even bother taking a photo of the food cause the sauces mixed together in the plate, and it just looked gross. i’m not picky with food plating but that was just bad. i ordered their surf and turf (if this is the steak + shrimp + macaroni salad one). too much steak sauce, too much shrimp sauce, and way too much mayonnaise. the shrimp’s shell was also still on, and battered and deep fried. so to eat it, you have to peel off the batter along with the shell. why bother putting batter over the shell of the shrimp?! tinamad lang ba magbalat?! really gross food.

worth a visit, i will definitelt try it again. i visited on a sunday, almost closing time but the staff is still up for any customers.

i wanted to try either the surf and turf, or surf and surf, but was still slightly full from eating takoyaki (lol). i ordered just the shrimp tempura, which amazingly tasted fresh and not just full of breading.

good ambiance, just a small place that felt more hawaiian-bar-like than it looked.

the only mishap was with the cashier. i had to return my change thrice because she kept getting confused how much to give me back. no judgment here, maybe it was just a long day.

i love tempura except for this one from the shrimp shack robinsons antipolo branch. i know, this only costs php 195 but really? just refer to my photo here. i think tempura of romeo’s is a way lot better than this. hay. matabang pa.

the sinigang na hipon tasted a bit like tom yum, which i liked. tuna salad was pretty good too.

i will definitely go back to try the other dishes.

the place has a seaside background. the music was good and they have wifi. sadly, we’re not happy with the taste of the food we ordered. it was bland and not satisfying. will not go back anymore.

me and my friends ate here yesterday, the ambiance was good, chill. must have: shrimp bisque gaaad, i love it! their nachos are good too. great serving for their chicken katsu and shrimp scampi. po boy shrimp sandwich a little dry tho.

the food is really good. i forgot the specific names of what we ordered but it was the white sauce pasta and the sausage red sauce one, and then the shrimp panini thing. 

the food is exceptionally good and priced reasonably.

i would have given 5 stars for this place if it wasn't for the parsley on top of the pasta. i dunno, it's a pet peeve of mine to use parsley as a garnish. suggestion lang, perhaps they can chop it instead and then use it as garnish afterwards. 

other than that, this place is worth your money and visit. :)

okay food, okay price range!

tried their fannel cake and it's nothing like the santa monica beach flannel cake. it was not even passable but if you don't have any expectation, it should be okay.

this place is always uhmmmm free, vacant, available. i am not sure why but it's a pretty decent menu.

been here several times but today was my first time to try their seafood bowl. still ordered their staple garlic shrimp scampi and surf and turf. such an enjoyable gastronomic experience. timely serving of food and attentive waitresses. they now issue an o.r.! yay!

shrimp shack is one of my favorite restaurant in robinsons antipolo. i really love their garlic buttered shrimp. i highly recommend their surf and turf meal and also their surf and surf meal. indeed delicious!!!😁

never really thought of trying out this place until i came across an instagram post of a friend. so keith and i decided to eat here the following day (despite the typhoon lol) i've made it a habit to check zomato before trying a new restaurant, so i already had my mind set on what i was going to order. garlic shrimp scampi for me and chili garlic shrimp for keith. (was a bit hesitant at first because of a previous traumatic experience with a similar shrimp dish that was sooooo bad.) i also wanted to try the shrimp scampi alfredo but the serving of the garlic shrimp scampi and the pasta looked enormous in photos so i thought we might not be able to finish all three dishes. our orders arrived in about 5 mins. (food wasn't hot though) it was so good! i liked the chili one better, but if you're not a fan of spicy food, the original is really tasty too. the only let down was the serving size. both meals come with 2 cups of rice, so we expected like a huge serving. but the rice was too small (about half a cup only) which was a bummer. but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and we'll come back really soon. trying the alfredo next! 😊

finally found a place to dine that is not too crowded. also my sister was craving for shrimp and said she wanted to try their garlic shrimp. while my sister enjoyed her shrimp, i was very happy with my dish too! i had the beef pot roast pasta.
