there are a few, nay, no other place in pune that combines excellent service andgreatproducts in one establishment like the sassy spoon does.

from a service perspective, the staff is very well-trained. they know the menu by heart, can articulate the details of a dish, are friendly and not afraid to start a conversation to make you feel at home. most importantly, they are always attentive to each table.

the menu is always stellar. there’s a variety of flavours and cuisines that combine to make excellent dishes. for example, their quinoa burger has this specific japanese mayo preparation that makes it an out of the world burger. i never imagined a burger patty made out of quinoa could be tastier than a normal meat-based burger. adding crispy kale to it to bring a crunchy and juicy texture is the epitome of taking clever risks that really pay off. similarly, soft shell tacos, their new buffalo wings with bhut jolokia sauce…the list could go on. even the bar preparations are risqué and excellent.

i’ve tried a lot of places in pune and going out for a meal is my thing. but the sassy spoon has spoiled me. no other place matches up to it and whenever i’m in the mood to just have a really nice night out, i only go to sassy spoon now. but make sure you book in advance because the place is always packed.

special mention to the restaurant manager, nilesh. he’s the man behind what sassy spoon is, especially in terms of service. extremely smart, sincere and passionate fellow with a tremendous eye for detail.

in summary, the sassy spoon is a cut above the rest in all aspects. hands down.

it’s been a while since i went to a fine dine restaurant. the sassy spoon is breath of a fresh air on a lovely sunday afternoon. perfect ambiance for the weather and thegreatfood.
cajun spiced buttered prawn is a must try in starter and teriyaki tofu with steamed broccoli and rice satisfies your taste buds to the core.
orders were quick and warm hospitality.

i have been a regular at the sassy spoon for years and has been the place to go whether it’s a family meal, catching up with friends or hosting corporate dinners with visiting colleagues. the resto-bar has a certain vibe, buzz and energy to it. we prefer a table outside -greatin the evenings or winter afternoons. it does get busy on weekend evenings and have seen groups wait to get a table so recommend to book in advance.

there are 2 simple reasons on why a person would keep going to the same restaurant -greatfood and good service. sassy checks both the boxes and am not sure what is better than the other.

service- lead by nilesh and his team of friendly staff, personalised service is guaranteed. nilesh seems to possess an amazing memory- he remembers people by name, moves around tables engaging the guests in conversations on food, cuisines and restaurants in pune. the team knows each and every dish well enough to give recommendations on food and drinks. they do describe the dish so well that you might end up ordering the same and will not be disappointed. i am sure they have a well structured on boarding and training program for the servers as the sheer consistency in attitude, attention and knowledge is something i have not seen elsewhere.

you just cannot go wrong with your order at sassy. every item on the menu is worth having a try. the portions are good and we being moderate eaters end up sharing a starter and main course amongst the 2 of us along with a drink. they do have specials around the festivals or occasions which is apart from the regular menu and one should not miss trying from it.
across years i would have tried most of the dishes but here are my top picks - 2 in each category

no review can do justice to this place without the mention of sassy teaspoon- the bakery and desserts section which is part of the setting.
1. red velvet pastry - has been an instant hit with anyone and everyone i have hosted there for a meal.
2. belgian chocolate pastry - am not a chocolate fan but missus has made sure i mention.

so go ahead indulge and enjoy.

ambience is good. especially if you're sitting outside. we had teriyaki chicken (mains) and crispy chicken tender (small bites). good portion size andgreattaste. i urge people to try the crispy chicken tender. the staff is co-operative and provide suggestions too.

one of our all time favourites. and of course the reason is food. their new revamped menu is great…veg guys can try veg ramen broth.. non veg srikankan baby lamb leg is great. this place has agreatpositive fun vibe. service isgreatand the staff has been known to me for many years… nilesh is agreathost and knows his customers well including their tastes and preferences. all in all agreatweekend luncheon or dinner place.

their sticky toffee pudding is just incredible. just when i thought their food was great, their desserts elevated my experience furthermore. brilliant décor,greatmusic and vibe. came here with my colleagues the first time and then introduced this restaurant to my family. now they visit here on their own and it has
become their favorite place to be. the food here is not only tasty but also very satisfying. contemporary comfort continental food. this place is a blessing to the city. the servers treat and serve you right as well.

had agreatdine in experience at the sassy spoon, the food here was amazing and portion size was filling too. the staff here is very friendly and offers agreatservice. in all the experience was good and i got the value for my money.

big thanks to mr. kiran for super service. as for the main course, ordered fish and chips which was very disappointing. instead of getting a fillet or a couple of large pieces, i was given atleast ten (or more) oily nuggets! it was like popcorn chicken, but with fish, when you're expecting a fillet!
again, service wasgreatand the cocktails were good too.

this is indeed a sassy place.greatambiance, welcoming staff and awesome food. we visited this place pretty late, almost when kitchen was closing, yet we were welcomed and served with patience. also ask for zain once you visit the place, the man has actually tasted his recommendations and can help with a few.
do not miss trying on the desserts. food is simply delicious.

saturday night vibe!

the vibe of this place is amazing and has an incredible menu in terms of options for food and drinks! the drinks served here are incredibly delicious but the flavour of the food tends to disappoint! went here twice in the last week.greatambiance and extremely safe in terms of the precautions the serving team takes! the desserts here are absolutely amazing. do their their dark chocolate mousse cake with raspberry sorbet! an absolute feast of colour and taste!
