christmas high tea with carols - one for the bucket lists!

over the christmas period, we got toexperiencethe magical christmas high tea that the ritz offers.

🔆 the ambience was something i doubt i’ll everexperienceagain. the room was filled with beautiful christmas decorations that added to the overall feeling of elegance. the christmas carol singers beautifully sung accompanying a pianist. their voices filled the room without overpowering it. it really did feel truly magical.

👥 the service was outstanding with each waiter sticking to a clear role. they all seamlessly worked together to make such a smooth dining experience. it was actually quite remarkable watching them all perform their work.

whilst it wasn’t a cheap high tea, it was everything we expected plus more! it was anexperiencethat i’ll never forget and truly cherish from my visit to london.

the high tea is what the english truly love and stand for, and its that afternoon mingling that we had a chance to do at one of the uber luxury hotels in the world - the ritz, london.

the array of teas offered was simply unique and delightful. among others that we sampled, was the darjeeling first flush and the british favorite, earl grey. each tea had its distinct flavor and lasting taste. 

the accompaniments with the tea were some delicious pastries, sandwiches, and cupcakes.

the luxurious victorian decor, with ceilings decorated in gold and white, the live music played by a master pianist, the polished butlers and servers who engaged with us in the most pleasant manner - all gave us a truly lastingexperienceof the quintessential afternoon must-do in the british atypical day, in an exceptionally luxurious manner nevertheless - high tea at the ritz

with great amusement both my brother and mother said “are you going to blog about the ritz?!”. the whole reason i blog is to share fun experiences that i’d like to remember and may go some way to answering questions may have about them. well the ritz fits into those categories perfectly, a fun birthdayexperiencefor mum at an iconic london hotel.

everything was perfect! it is not just a simple breakfast, it is the breakfastexperienceat ritz! it is not of course cheap but i think it is worth of it :)

we went to the ritz for dinner a while back for celebratory dinner and i can hands down say that it was the best diningexperiencei’ve ever had. all of us would agree on this. i would describe the ritz as a dollhouse/fairytale palace - there is something so regal about the whole place. the interior of the dining room is flawless and truly has a wow factor. i was stunned as soon as i walked in and felt privileged to be dining there! the staff were great, very well mannered and sweet. 
the menu looked like any other restaurant menu and i thought this was yet another place you pay for the atmosphere. i was wrong - the quality of food actually blew me away.

we went to this restaurant especially for breakfast as we were recommended by a friend. the place was magnificent and the staff was polite. we ordered english breakfast and it tasted delicious and presented beautifully. we totally loved our firstexperiencehere. we are definitely returning.

on sunday evening we went to the ritz for a celebration dinner and i can hands down say that it was the best diningexperiencei’ve ever had. 

i would describe the ritz as a dollhouse/fairytale palace – there is something so regal about the whole place. the interior of the dining room is flawless and truly has a wow factor. i was stunned as soon as i walked in - the staff were great, very well mannered and sweet.

starters
we were brought bread to start with followed by canapés.
cheeseballs, tartare on crackers and lobster-paste macaroons. whoever came up with the macaroon is a genius because it was such a creative and tasty little invention – i loved it. i ordered var salmon which was stunning. the texture was like sashimi and it was served with cucumber and lemon crème fraiche. the pate was starter was also delicious.

main
the way the dishes were served and lids were lifted up all together was very nice and traditional. the lamb was mouthwatering, one of the best i’ve ever tasted. this is what i call tender. i always ask for tender but never usually get it. the lamb was served with herb crust, artichokes and black garlic.

dessert
this soufflé was made very nicely but was the only dish that didn’t make my jaw drop. this is simply because fruity pastry isn’t my thing. i wish i had the blackberry parfait instead, it was beautiful. i had to dig my spoon into this dessert as well. after the desserts came a complementary set of sweets. this included vanilla/white chocolate macaroons, need i say more?

i would rate the ritz 6/5 if i could, perfect for a special occasion

experience a typical english afternoon tea  in a royal way! 
the moment you step in till the time you leave feel the royal air around you! dress well before going here- thats a tip :) 
the beautiful piano being played throughout just added to the ambience. 
the tea served in the silver teapots  were constantly being refilled and so as the sandwiches. food is fabulous but what leaves an impression is the place, service and ambience.
the staff were incredible.
to be honest its something everyone shouldexperienceonce in their lives. truly amazing experience!
book well in advance as very busy.

luxurious atmosphere. chic and exclusive place.

the ritz restaurant makes you feel like in wonderland with its chandeliers and perfect high ceilings. it is the best place for a formal occasion with family and friends.

the menu is very well organized and divided through different sections. i had as my main course an artichoke veloute, which was very salutary and soft. as a dessert, i chose crepes suzette which are meant to be shared by two people and they will be prepared for you at the table!

i enjoyed theexperiencevery much. the restaurant is obviously expensive and you should expect to spend a minimum of 150 £ for two.

this is one of the most alluring place backed by scrumptious and delectable meal. presentation of the food was top-notch and not at all messy, service opulent and taste was divine. you would not ask for more! i have not had such a goodexperienceof fine dining before it where everything was in perfect sync.. food, ambiance and service!

lovely place to stop by for tea and cakes. the food is great too, complete with all kinds of scones, waffles and cakes, which they keep bringing without having to ask. even celebrated sister in law's birthday here, and it was a memorableexperiencetoo.

if you are looking for afternoon tea then you must give this place a visit else there is nothing special about this place. you won't be having any fine diningexperienceand the service is also not that good . i do not think that i will be coming here again.

i visited this place while i was travelling in the neighbourhood. my partner did not fit the dress code of the place, but the management was kind enough to lend us some clothes. they place has a great variety of desserts on offer. this was anexperiencethat will be etched in my memory forever.

ritz afternoon tea a quite famous thing in london which people wishes. i visited ritz and he wholeexperiencewas amazing a total 5 star kind.from the beautifully presented sandwiches through to the dainty cakes,with delicious warm scones, & the superb and friendly service from all the staff, not forgetting the harp music playing softly in the background,a rendition of "happy birthday" was played whilst delivery to the table of a surprise cake for my bf, the afternoon was out of this world,presentation was awesome to say the least, & the doormen were like really polite and so friendly, thank you so much for the best afternoon ever. i would really advice everyone do not miss the chance of afternoon tea at the ritz. its a real memorable experience.
