christmas high tea with carols - one for the bucket lists!

over the christmas period, we got to experience the magical christmas high tea that the ritz offers.

🔆 the ambience was something i doubt i’ll ever experience again. the room was filled withbeautifulchristmas decorations that added to the overall feeling of elegance. the christmas carol singers beautifully sung accompanying a pianist. their voices filled the room without overpowering it. it really did feel truly magical.

👥 the service was outstanding with each waiter sticking to a clear role. they all seamlessly worked together to make such a smooth dining experience. it was actually quite remarkable watching them all perform their work.

whilst it wasn’t a cheap high tea, it was everything we expected plus more! it was an experience that i’ll never forget and truly cherish from my visit to london.

i've been to the ritz many times over the years, mainly to the ritz club, however, which is an opulent and outrageouslybeautifulprivate members club in the basement of the ritz hotel. last night i finally tested out the ritz restaurant upstairs in the hotel. it was asbeautifulas the club, with gold everywhere and artwork that makes you swoon. every part of the ritz makes you feel as though you've gone back a hundred years, if it wasn't for the way people were dressed and the cameras and phones everywhere, you could easily have believed you were in an era where the monarch was a king and the party in power were the liberals...

my colleagues took me to thisbeautifulplace for the birthday dinner and it was the best birthday dinner. we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we were treated royally. we both ordered lamb and they tasted amazing, ending our dinner with chocolate delice. i really enjoyed the dinner, place was great. i can’t wait to get back. highly recommended!

we made our way past the gorgeous palm court, where the iconic ritz afternoon tea is served. i've tried the tea a few times, it's incredible but you need to book well in advance as it's very popular. 

the dining room of the ritz is probably one of the mostbeautifuldining rooms i've ever seen. windows are floor to ceiling with heavily draped curtains, mirrored walls, neoclassical statues and colossal marble columns reaching up to the beautiful, ornate ceiling. 

and hanging from the painted ceiling are garland chandeliers so that you feel you're sitting under a sky of stars..
the table is of course beautifully set with a silver tray for the salt and pepper....

and the plates are abeautifulbluish-green colour with gold edging and a ritz stamp on them. 

our gorgeous champagne glasses also had the special stamp of luxury on them.

experience a typical english afternoon tea  in a royal way! 
the moment you step in till the time you leave feel the royal air around you! dress well before going here- thats a tip :) 
thebeautifulpiano being played throughout just added to the ambience. 
the tea served in the silver teapots  were constantly being refilled and so as the sandwiches. food is fabulous but what leaves an impression is the place, service and ambience.
the staff were incredible.
to be honest its something everyone should experience once in their lives. truly amazing experience!
book well in advance as very busy.

we decided to dine here when we were in the city recently. the interiors were decorated exceptionally well and the atmosphere was just asbeautifulas it should be. the music at both the venues was quite enchanting and seemed to suit the ambiance well. we opted for some expensive champagne and a three course meal which were delectable and well cooked, but not as good as the ambiance itself. the staff was also very attentive. highly recommended.

if you are looking for a classy restaurant you have got the one, a bit old fashioned but classy. it is not cheap but not expensive too.
they provide you the best meal from the best staff and you can have that in mostbeautifulsurrounding, what more can you ask for.
it is better than most of the restaurants in central london.
men have to wear ties and it looks so classy that way, i would recommend everyone to try this place.

the service was pretty efficient. the staff was warm and quite friendly and made sure that we were completely comfortable. the area is quite big and the ambience is wonderful withbeautifuldecor, more on the historical side. there are a range of options on the menu which do not disappoint you at all. along with this, there was an arrangement of a band performance which was just awesome, though we were charged for it.
