they had the best steak diane in the city...sad to see it's not on themenuany longer.  still a great dinner/lunch location for great food and live music.  right in the heart of the city but not too much into the clutter of downtown.

originally fantastic!!!!!! the phoenix is simply a blast! themenucontains a variety for all tastes, great live music every night, awesome happy hour, and an amazing, friendly staff!! if you're looking for a place to bring friends, especially out-of-towners, the phoenix is it!

this place rules!. the phoenix has an incredible range when it comes to food/nightlife/entertainment in kansas city. the best blues and jazz artists in the area are featured each night and themenucan please any craving you have. the service is always a 10 and the happy hour can't be beat!

the phoenix is one of my favorite places in the city. its got a great ambiance and you always feel at home when you walk in the door. i've never had a bad thing on themenuand i've never heard a bad band playing. i try to bring friends with me that have never been to get a taste of the jazz and blues that kc has to offer! love this place!

my fav!!!. themenurocks!! the music definately rocks!! the atmosphere and staff are the best around!! always great specials! beautiful, smart and funny staff!! i feel at home the second i walk in the door. usually, jessica has my drink waiting for me before my butt hits the chair...gotta love that!!

i like it!. themenuhere really has something for everyone. ive tried alot of the food including the soups (especially the clam chowder), salads(huge salads that are actually filling), sandwhiches, wraps, burgers, tilapia(one of my favorites), meatloaf, porkchops, you name it really. and during happy hour all of the apps are half price which makes it a great place to get a drink, have a snack, listen to music. all around i am impressed and would love to spend a happy hour, dinner, after dinner drinks, or just a night out at this place any day of the week!

it's a classic!. sure, it was packed with nowhere to sit by 5:30 on a friday, and yes, they no longer have fancy steak dinners. but actually, i'm fine with that. everyone is tired of the p&l, and this place is just as good if not better than it used to be. my favorite dish - the philly and sweet potato fries. regardless, it's nice when everything on themenuis under $10.
