no babies welcome even outside at lunch. the hostess explained our 3 month old couldn't join us bc matador is technically a bar, not a restaurant and it was washington state law. really? i think she didn't have the guts to say it was managements policy.

went back another night - wasted a baby sitter. really loud music, hard to talk. had chicken soup and needed a knife to eat it, large chunks of chicken tortilla and avocado would not for in a soup spoon. it was so-so, wouldn't order again. waste of a date night,greatplace if you want to eat ok tex-mex in a nightclub.

one of the best burgers i have had in a long time. chipoltle sauce was fantastic, not to chipoltle, fry's were delicious. decor was well thought out and very fitting. tacos outstanding. need to change the music so it fits the ambiance not the bartender.greatresturaunt.

great place to go with friends to have agreattime. well priced withgreatfood. i'll come here again and again. try the margaritas they are excellent.

went for a lunch and ordered:
chipotle mushrooms - spicy and yet so good, a very good dipping sauce
ancho chile wings - average size wings with a kick 
spicy mexican shrimp - fresh and tasty; try both sauces
chile rubbed mahi mahi - tasty fish tacos; the slaw can use some seasoning to kick it up a notch
mexican street corn - roasted corn on the cob mexican style; a good side dish or snack

setting and atmosphere aregreatfor a date. price is reasonable, a few bucks more than antojo per dish.

if you go ask for kristen!!. we go in all the time for happy hour and dinner, i have to say i work in the industry and have never had a better server then kristen! attentive and knowledgeable simply one of the best. the place is alreadygreatbut she truly makes the experience better!

love it. matador offers a unique variety of southwestern american/mexican cuisine. not that the food is unique (enchiladas, tacos, burgers - the usual), but the flavors are very fresh. it's not the standard mazatlan or el toro kind of mexican - don't get me wrong, sometimes you want to go somewhere where you know what to expect, like mazatlan or el toro. but matador is not those places. it's classy, it's unique, and they havegreathabenero enchiladas if you like your spicy food to be spicy. also, fairly good selection of wine. priced affordably and well worth it.
