while it's possible that we just went on a really off day, 3 out of 3 dishes my husband and i tried were really bad. he started with tacos, which we sent back to the kitchen. this is the only time we have ever returnedfoodat a restaraunt. second dish was edible, but not very good. i had a chicken tortilla soup that i could barely eat. the meat tasted really off, but the waitress assured us it was fresh. i really wanted to like this place. the design is incredible, the staff was friendly, and the didn't charge us for the dish we sent back. but honestly i will never eat there again.

this place has a nice decor and ambience. thefoodtasted quite lovely. i tried their crispy fried calamari and shredded chicken burrito. i would highly recommend their burrito.

cool place to chill after work good ambiance and amazing margaritas.. the hh deals were totally
awesome .foodwas ok but the dir is made up for it for sure .

one of the best in redmond. i can't really get enough of this place, their habanero sauce, on anything is divine. but i will say i agree with some of the other comments, watered down margaritas (if you sit at the bar they are better although), slightly pricey for what you get (if price forfoodis a factor for you). the decor / ambiance is great. they won't really help you if you bring a party of 10+ people. a few of the servers and the managers are really great.

favorite date night.foodis fresh and spicy. would recommend to anyone who's looking for and usual venue and spicy food. service was hreat and east parking for a downtown redmond location.

never again, rude bartenders, over priced. redmond matador has the rudest, snooty, arrogant bartenders in the area who are very unfriendly. thefoodis a wanna be version of pescos of seattle. salsa is too salty and margaritas taste like a salt lick. tacos were served cold, and fajitas were horritble. way over priced for the quality they serve. we could over hear 2 bartenders trash talking about a customer who was very polite. we will never return ever. worse place on the eastside.

happy hour done right!. this is what a happy hour should be: strong, well made drinks and generous portions of spicy, tastyfoodfor cheap ($5 each). we tried several margaritas (top shelf was the favorite although the matador is also delightful). the nachos are filling and flavorful, and we added chicken (small extra charge) which was tender, moist and plentiful. the wings in the ancho-chipotle sauce melted in our mouths. the steak tacos were good, atlhough not quite as generous on the steak as i would like, but the chorizo tacos were ooey-gooey, omg yum, according to my dining companion.

the bartenders were excellent and attentive.

i want to go back. and soon. i'll even deal with the parking and crowds.

ballard is great. redmond worthless. how can they serve a fajita that is stone cold with pre cooked chicken and veggies? even the tortillas were ice cold and the beans also. i held the cast iron skillet in my bare hand! that's cold! lazy cooks who have no pride. they are only trying to make their jobs simple at customers expense. you bozos know who you are and our server had no idea how to handle the situation. frankly.....taco bell kicks your lazy butts. you should be ashamed. anyone who appreciates good mexicanfoodand decent service should stay away from redmond matador.

great steak nachos bad service...recommend trying them out on their off hours so you can enjoy thefoodbut if you catch them in a rush they don't have strong enough servers, hosts, or bartenders to handle a packed crowd.

love it. matador offers a unique variety of southwestern american/mexican cuisine. not that thefoodis unique (enchiladas, tacos, burgers - the usual), but the flavors are very fresh. it's not the standard mazatlan or el toro kind of mexican - don't get me wrong, sometimes you want to go somewhere where you know what to expect, like mazatlan or el toro. but matador is not those places. it's classy, it's unique, and they have great habenero enchiladas if you like your spicyfoodto be spicy. also, fairly good selection of wine. priced affordably and well worth it.

redmond -best kept secret... tequila bar doesnot sound like a good place to get goodfood. quallity of tex mex served in matador and their amazing bartenders makes this the best happy hour on east side ..

lunches , dinners are a good fare here and yes..they have really pretty waitresses .
