very very poor iftar buffet!! i wonder how this is 5* hotel restaurant!! the price is very high compared with food taste and quality.. the only items i liked was the desserts although it was limited.
food must be satisfying for all cuisines not only the indian one!!

wonderful service, delightful and inspiring meals definitely cuisine that is five star. i love the portraits of the local suppliers and the menu that changes daily. tables and chairs could do with an upgrade but that's all :) definitely i am coming back and i never say that for any other restaurant!

we discovered this gem by accident. we had to wait for our weta cave tour and took a wander up the road.

the food is very good. we loved everything we had. you can see and taste the care that goes into this food. outstanding.

we'll return. the coffee was great, the service was great and the place feels great. we felt welcome. it's such a pleasure eating here.

a gem in wellington. we were on our way to weta caves & workshop. then just happen to have our breakfast at this decent looking arthouse- the larder. best breakfast ever. everything was just perfect. we had buttermilk crepes, portbello mushrooms on toast, scrambled eggs with avocado,hot chocolate & a brownie. delightful experience, courteous & happy staff.

this place is one of my favourites for lunch or brunch.

food is seriously good quality and really tasty.

ate here last weekend for the 5th time and it is still as good as ever, highly recommend it -yum

the ambience of the restuarant is pleasant & has both indoor & outdoor seatings available. the outdoor seating is huge & well put together giving you views to beautiful business bay skylines as you savour your meals.

coming to the food, larder serves a decent variety of juices🥃, salads & dips🥗, assorted breads🍞, desserts🍰, also including a few quick bites such as kibbeh, falafel wraps, cheese fatayers🧀.

for mains, an integral part of any arabic cuisine the lamb ouzi makes it mark with a couple of other mains including soups, dal makhni, grilled chicken, saffron rice, chicken & seafood gravies.

we found the whole buffet to be a decent spread & value for money at aed 125.00..food was good & staff was courteous.

went to the larder on a saturday morning for brunch. the staff are very attentive and friendly; filling up water glasses and asking if we needed more coffee. the menu is fairly light on veggie options but they were more than willing to swap the bacon for avocado, which was great! the food tasted incredibly fresh and prepared to a very high standard. they know what they're doing! i'd like to see some smoothies on the menu and a few more veggie friendly options but i'll definitely be back again soon!

amazing staff great food and gorgeous deco + ambiance . try the fish and chips or go for the breakfast or lunch buffet. all to die for. those morning smoothies are the best !

not the best iftar buffet , very limited options and small portions. the buffet setup was not ideal with 2 persons serving the entire restaurant , hence people had to queue for quite sometime to get to the buffet. good customer service though!

for our saturday lunch, we decided to visit @thelarder_nz. the cafe is in darlington road (miramar, wlg) near weta workshop. they serve tea ☕️, coffees, sweets 🍰 🍪, themed + breakfast/lunch dishes.

the spicy hot chocolate 🍫was refreshing, had a good balance of spiciness from the chilli 🌶 and sweetness from the milk/chocolate. the peanut and salted caramel cookie had a good amount of peanuts and the sugar/caramel had the right sweetness. my father also enjoyed his feijoa cake. a great serving of almonds with a soft texture in the cake and you can taste the hint of lemon 🍋 + feijoa.

buttermilk chicken burger 🐓🍔 $16
visually, the burger size instantly caught our eyes 👀 and we resorted to using knife/forks🍴 rather than hands to eat. a great serving of buttermilk chicken breast, well-cooked, juicy, and easy to bite into. the spicy mayo was a welcome addition to deliver a creamy and mildly spicy flavour to the chicken. definitely worth the money, consider adding pickles or onions 🧅 as popular choices to further compliment the burger.

chicken risotto $16-18 🍲
the risotto was cooked right, texture was not mushy or grainy. the portion with the risotto and chicken was decent as well. my letdown was that it was not seasoned to my own liking. the dish could have used a pinch of salt🧂and less parmesan as sometimes it often overpowered any taste of the thyme/herbs.

final words
special mention goes to their fantastic service. the vibe was cosy and it looked like everyone was enjoying their experience. front of house staff was friendly and engaging with their customers from menus, arranging tables, to even small talk. lastly, our food was delivered promptly and there was a perfect time gap (10-20 minutes) between our coffee/sweets and then our mains. overall, i would mention this eatery as consideration to locals or tourists in the area.

amazing food, love the staff, and its situated in a great location (especially if you're wanted to visit weta afterwards. they have a really comprehensive menu and do breakfast and lunch. we had scrambled eggs with bacon, its served with tomatoes and ciabatta and was so tasty. if its busy then the noise volume can be a bit much and you'll probably have to wait for a table

stopped here waiting for ride back into town after weta tour. ordered the brocolli side and was blown away. the most beautiful brocolli we have ever had. friendly staff, pumping on a saturday, clean and fast. highly recommend. thank you for having us!

fast friendly service. good food. adjusted the menu for kids which was excellent.

beef burger was unreal, i thought it a bit pricey at first, but for the taste/size it turned out to be exceptional.
