the lal street - bar exchange

this is my 3rd time at lal street. i recommended and forced my friends to go here. even though friday night is a bollywood night, they didn't play a single hindi song. we have done the reservation for 4 boys and 3 girls. at the time of reservation, they didn't say anything about stag charges even after enquiring about it. after reaching the place they were asking for 1500 stag charges. and the reason the manager gave us is so stupid and silly. since a person is not wearing shoes we will charge 1500. what kind of a dumb logic is that. he made us wait for 10 and it took a lot of convincing and he finally let us in.
after this bad experience, i didn't want to pay service charge and the manager was still arguing as i had zomato pro. unbelievable.
coming back to food, we have ordered all kinds of mocktails and starters
chicken tikka pizza - above average
blue lagoon - below average
pasta - average
chillichicken- average
schezwanchicken- above average

mangser - ⭐ (read as zero star)
ambience - ⭐⭐⭐

had been there with friends.
the ambience was really lively. however, the choice of music could have been better.
had orderedchickenperi peri wings, a blue lagoon and other mocktails along with a few other drinks.
although the peri peri wings tasted great, the amount of spices was pathetically high. my friends had started crying halfway through the meal.

overall, an otherwise good experience. would recommend.

horrible experience. for the items we ordered the taste wasn't up to the mark - loaded fries, fish tikka andchickenlababdar pizza.

the worse thing was the the wait staff stopped us from going to the dance floor very rudely asking to bill first, makes you feel totally unwelcome. they also refused to accept zomato pro stating weekend even though the place was active on pro.

prices are okay. staffs are polite. fries were a bit too dull to be honest, but the awesome taste of honey potatochickencompensated for it. ambience is dark, but overall it's okay.

i have heard a lot about this place. but, couldn't be here. and, finally was here few days ago.
the place is all decked up with proper lighting and seating capacity is great.
so, there's a lil concept behind the name - the lal street bar exchange. it's more like a stock exchange kinds where prices goes up and down depending on the orders. that's really a great concept which none of the other places have which makes this place a unique one.
the dance floor is totally amazing and dj does a great job too in keeping audiences entertained.

now, talking about the starters -

devil's friedchicken🔥- this was a star studded dish, i mean the sauce they served beneath was going well and it was too crunchy and delicious.
it's definitely a must try✅

crispy fried pepper prawns - these has to be the best prawns that i have had till date. the presentation was so great. it had all the right amounts of flavours added. nothing more, nothing less. another must try dish for sure✅

another starters that i have tried were below -
mutton seekh kebab, peri-perichickenwings, honey chilli potatoes.

about, peri-perichickenwings, i was a lil disappointed with the sauce. not sure if it was bbq sauce or any other.

coming to starters, mutton rogan josh and kali mirch jhinga were phenomenal.

i personally liked the mutton rogan josh served with the best butter garlic naans. the tenderness of meat and consistency of gravy was amazing.

for desserts, i have had brownie with ice cream and brownie sizzler. loved how soft the brownies were. definitely recommending these two for those who are a hardcore dessert fan.

all in all, a great experience here at the lal street.

though this place was opened way long back but i happen to visit this weekend and i was pretty excited about it😁.
so the concept is likewise stock market ups and downs, means the prices of alcohol fluctuate as the crowd order's. minimum the order minimum the price...
tv displays around to keep a track of prices. so yeah it's first place to have this kinds theme and that's interesting for me👌👌.

a huge place where long side bar counter and pretty big dance floor on left corner where dj will lift your mood up and attentive staff.
they were few funny and interesting sign boards and paintings all around to keep you occupied 😄.
i have no complaints till now.

coming to food part

#starter's
devil fried chicken, this was actually very good, appetising enough and that sauce beneathchickenwas absolutely amazing!
must try ✅.

peri perichickenwings, here presentation was good andchickenwas juicy and tender but dry version of this would be better.

miryala mamsam vepudu, one eye catching dish for all the meat lovers 😋, i was eye this dish the moment it was on table. taste wise it was simply perfect 👌💯. super tender and fully desi style, had a kick. must try ✅.

mutton sheekh kebab, hot in red and served with spicy green chutney 💯. even though we took it long to have it the taste didn't go down. usually the taste changes when it becomes cold here nothing happened and that's the best part.

crispy fried pepper prawns was amaaaazing 👌❤️ this won my heart. presented 💯, taste was fabulous. fried to perfection and sauteed with garlic and green onion. this goes perfectly fine with spicy mayo.
must try ✅.

#maincourse

grilled fish, this dish was good! chef here layered with sauteed fried rice with exotic veggies and two big fillet of fish and topped with lemon sauce. here everything was perfect, rice was super flavourful and fish was very moist and juicy but sauce of top didn't really go well.
sauce could be given as a side to pour as per customers requirement this would be great.

jhinga kali mirch, chef has really put efforts on presentation 💯. here the gravy was super rich and very creamy and a taste of pepper was highlighted well. even the prawn was good.
mutton rogan josh, as usual i was again on this dish 😋 tender meat chunks and gravy consistency was fine. i felt taste of this could be better by making it more desi style and make it less punchy flavour wise.

brownie with ice cream & sizzling brownie was made how its supposed to be.

food not good.i order lamb peproni pizza he served lamb kabab pizza.they dont know what is peproni. and next i ask service boy send some goodchickenstarter that also not good

lal street is a nice bar which serves mouth wateringchickenlollipops, i ordered 2 plated of lollipops as i loved it like anything. the only drawback of lal street is that it doesn't allow you to dance inspite of having a good dance floor because of which the general crowd goes to club rougue 🤷🏻‍♀️ so a sincere request to the lal street authority please initiate a dance floor so that after people are drunk with friends they can dance and have a gala time.

we had ballantines 🥃 60 ml, 2 towers of draught 🍺, 2 vodka shots, 🍟 with and without 🧀, masala 🥜, crispy 🌽, italian 🧀 fingers, 🌶 🍗. peanuts weren’t so great.chickenwas scrumptious. fries with mayonnaise are always the best. 🧀 fingers were good too. corn wasn’t as tasty as i expected. ambience was great.

i heard this place from many of my friends. we happened to go this place only to enjoy the food and check out happy hours food range and drinks.

we ordered almost all the starters from the menu and fewchickendishes were disappointing.

we almost tried few mock tails,cocktails endedup liking fruit punch.

staff was friendly and the interesting place is the ambience and the theme.

1. drinks are pocket friendly
2. food is expensive (but this is the only place we found around gachibowli where all the dishes doesn't have the same south flavours. if you love fish and chips please try it here)
3. happy hours closes at 5:45. food in the happy hours menu doesn't taste good and portion size is small. draught beer buckets are available at a good price.
4. good service, friendly staff
5. only drawback is that the music gets too loud after 10. but otherwise great place.
6. must try - fish n chips,chicken65,chickentikka,chickendrumsticks, french fries.

i make fries disappear what's your superpower ?
french fries with melted cheese, panner butter masala gravy, chopped tomatoes and paneer

absolutely delicious, hot and spicy paneer starters delight me everytime and one of them most preferred dish topped with onions and capsicum

we all are winging it, that whatchickenwings do which is stuffed with onions, green chillies and mixed spices deep fried

in my recent roadtrip to hyderabad, i met one of my friends here. the very first thing which i didnt like is the confusion at the gate with me as i was wearing a crocs, because they don’t “allow” crocs - can you please explain why?
nevertheless, we got in and made ourselves comfortable. beer towers started coming and so were the foods. again an observation -
chilli fish - 465+ gst
pepperchicken- 345+gst
i wonder if they went to kaveri or godavari to catch the fish after i placed the order orchickenused to lay golden eggs...
c’mon i mean at least justify the price of the food that you are preparing. and finally a pack of 20 cigerettes 450 rupees+ tax.

be very careful before coming here to “chill” - coz at the end, the bill is gonna give u a cold chilling thru your spine for sure.

great ambience with good outdoor seating and good dj.
we ordered loadedchickennachos (no taste at all, just normal nachos), chillichicken(good),chickenpizza (good), blue lagoon (just spirit with blue colour) and passion fruit (not good too).
