don't waste your time!. drink prices are ridiculous. wanna be soho vibe which fell short. fish smell as soon as you enter. bartender held my credit card despite me wanting to pay cash. two days later, there were charges on my cc that were not mine.

great, non-tourist spot!!!. we found this through urbanspoon. what a find. great food. the fish of the day was grouper and it was amazing. the scene is fantastic for a date, a group of friends and a distinct difference from the tourist joints around town. i saw their gourmet burgers on a lot of tables around me and that looked great too. do not miss this place if you want a great farm-to-table meal in a fantastic historic building.

very cool place, the old industrial look to the inside of the building was really cool. the drinks were excellent. we got the seared scallops as an appetizer and they were perfect. i ordered the wagyu beef burger which was decent but a bit bland. the parmesan truffle fries on the side were amazing though. my girlfriend ordered the half chicken and i tried it and it was excellent. would definitely go back.

tonight my wife and i enjoyed an anniversary dinner here. we’ve heard a lot of good things about this place, we were not disappointed in any way. the service was excellent, as was the meal. we started with blue crab beignets, they were amazing. very light and full of crab.
my wife had gnocchi with lamb and goat cheese ricotta. she was very happy with it.
i had the braised short rib with some puréed potatoes and a salad. it was fork tender and had a great beef flavor.
we split an apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. i don’t eat ice cream but the cobbler was delicious, just like everything else.
the place is pricey but i feel like i got what i paid for.
on a side note, the place really was an ice plant and i used to buy ice here in the ‘70’s.

i had a sour experience in this place. we drove all the way from tampa to st augustine for the easter weekend and last saturday i went with my husband and brother for dinner to ice plant. when we arrived we were told that we have to wait 40 minutes for a table but we could wait at the bar area and order appetizers from them, so we did. i ordered a glass of wine and a scotch, the bartender ask for our id’s and i handed to him mine, my husband and my brother’s. after he check them he told me he couldn’t accept my brother’s id because was from puerto rico. i told him that doesn’t make any sense since pr is us territory, you don’t need a passport to travel inside the us and is accepted for driving and traveling purposes. mike (the bartender, caucasian with a beard) insisted that he will not sell any alcohol to him because of his id that was the policy from the restaurant. i had friends that went to that restaurant last month with no passport and had no issues. on the table we ask the waiter if we had to show passport to drink even though my brother is a us citizen with a valid id and he said that there is no problems with that. i felt that this bartender was very ignorant and disrespectful, if you now a little bit about your country, you’ll know that puertorricans are us citizens, puerto rico is us territory and we do not need passports inside the us. so, if you are not “american” enough for mike, make sure to bring passports because he will not sell alcohol to you. what we felt from this bartender was racism and that’s not okay! i wish someone sees this review and do something about it.

the drinks here are epic! the bar staff were personable and friendly and the drink menu offered some fun new takes on classic drinks. handcrafted from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and many of the liquors, mixers and syrups are crafted right on premise in the st. augustine distillery attached. the venue is simply gorgeous with dim lighting and taking full advantage of the vintage, industrial building’s charms. if you get the chance, tour the distillery next door and get your own bottle of the bourbon to take home. sooo good!!!

fabulous! there was a wait, so we had cocktails: no reservations (whiskey based, with jalapeno) and a florida mule. excellent drinks, even if it was a bit crowded. we got a table, and the service was attentive but not pushy. all of the food was excellent: their take on cobb salad, watermelon and tomato salad, and pickled shrimp toast were all inventive and mouthwatering. the standout, though, was the florida bouillabaisse, a medley of seafood in a broth so rich and flavorful i was practically licking the bowl at the end. finished up with a yummy cobbler. a superb meal!

yesterday i ordered curbside pick up a wagyu burger, meat was tasteless i don’t think it was wagyu meat, on top of that the meat wrap paper was inside my burger, i called to report that so they pay more attention no call back to apologize.
fries dried.
will not come back

today, 9/18/16 is the first time ice plant started serving brunch and i can say they delivered! on point, unique, always having you wanting to come back again and again, as we have come to find that everything served at ice plant is. we decided on the pastrami and eggs skillet and the french toast...my best friend and i brunch a bunch(almost every sunday) and this is hands down the best of them all!!!
from the quality service, industrial quaint atmosphere, craft cocktails, and unique artful menu - there's nothing that compares!!! ice plant is setting the bar higher than any place in st augustine and surrounding cities - a true gem!!
we are already planning our next visit for mid week. if you are looking for somewhere that locals love - look no further. if you are visiting st augustine and want a place that you will come back to visit just to go here- you've found it! look no further. cannot say enough great things to the staff and owners of ice plant other than thank you for creating a place of quality, value and rarity. you have me always looking forward to coming back again and planning my next visit when we haven't even walked out of your door.

we only had drinks and bar appetizers, but if the food is as good as the apps were, we will eat here often. we had the pretzel bread and the smoked fish dip. omg! the pretzel bread and the house mustard served with it were to die for. so good. the drink menu is also fun and the drinks were yummy.

the ambiance was sorta neck beard hipster, but i liked it. felt like a warehouse, in a good way. the waitstaff is dressed in 40s garb but were all super friendly. our server was excellent and split the bill correctly 4 ways.

can't wait to get back here for dinner.

update: had the carpaccio with fried oysters, so very good.

loved it! only regret was being my toddler. not really kid-friendly, even though our waitress was very sweet and brought him some paper and a full size (100 count) box of crayons. drinks were expensive but so worth it. good was also on the high scale, so i ordered a cheaper item, the burger and fries. was the best burger i've ever had. moist, crisp on the outside, deliciously toasted bun and amazing fries. never thought a burger could be so gormet!

what a true gem in downtown st augustine! my wife and i finally got to try it and we were suitably impressed. the place is really cool, not because of the ice, in an old historic building. we sat at the bar, and got to watch the wizard mixologists do their thing. awesome drinks! the food was exceptional as well. can't wait to go back.

awful service. wouldn't sit us because 2 people , out of six weren't with us, then 10 minutes later claimed it was an hour and half wait. i guess they feel like they can treat people however.

went there at 9:15pm and they refused to sit us because the waiting time was over 30 min, and they were closing at 10pm. very disappointed! worst customer service ever. ps. that was my friends birthday, but they didn't care.
