good ambience , good food but slow service , not too courteous waiters , but there is room for improvement if trained well. it’s a lovely familyrestaurantand one can try it out at least once .

went there for a lunch date and my experience was simply wonderful. the ambience and service were excellent. therestaurantwas not overcrowded and it gave us a nice space to talk and relax.
we ordered chicken dimsums, thai grilled prawns, honey chilli chicken, egg fried rice and lemon pie. all the dishes were amazing and we couldn't have been happier with the quality and quantity. the drinks (cocktail) were good too.
leaves and weaves is my new favourite in the city and will surely visit again.

i went there for dinner with my parents.my mum loved the ambience.therestaurantis very subtle and elegant.
the staff is friendly and well-mannered.
coming to the food,we ordered chicken sichuan fried rice and kung pao chicken alongside thai grilled chicken,food quality and quantity were excellent.i am giving 4stars to leaves & weaves.

beautiful interior decoration. occasionally can be visited. bar and therestaurantare separated which is a good thing. but they give very less in quantity with respect to the price they have put up. its not worth giving that amount of price in place of very less amount of food quantity. there is need to look after the price.

first off, excellent ambience. loved the details and the woody interior made it feel all the more cosy and warm.
i came here with my husband and while we loved the grandness of it all, our first impression wasn’t all that good. there was no one at the front desk and when we entered no one took us to a table. when we finally found the manager (?) he just us nudged us towards a table somewhere. i think that’s a bit unprofessional considering the type ofrestauranthe’s managing. second, the food. sadly, we must admit w’ve had better. it was all right but nothing great. maybe we didn’t order their specialty. i don’t know. also, it took so much time for the food to arrive. so, take home note, don’t visit if you’re really hungry.

as you enter therestaurant'leaves & weaves' you feel a very positive vibe. simple, serene and calm.

it is a multi cuisine restaurant, and we happened to visit this place not once but thrice.
once we had the blue hills platter and the second time the assamese thali and the third time the basic mutton curry and rice..
it never failed to give us mind blowing food all the three times.
full marks for service and food quality.

they could just more of desserts though.
only three desserts were there on the menu though all were nice but we wanted more.

the ambience of thisrestaurantis so calming. it instantly relaxes you the moment you enter. the interiors are very much in sync with our northeastern cultures. the greenery on the outside is such a treat to the eyes.
coming to the food - we ordered shillong noodles with chilli pork and bbq pork ribs. both the dishes were very well made. the shillong noodles made me nostalgic as i have lived my childhood in that beautiful city!
this place gives you the perfect peaceful fine dining experience. the staff is nice and courteous. the service is super quick. a little bit on the pricey side of course, but then all fine dining restaurants are. wonderful experience overall.

so we had our bihu celebration here. i feel good food with good drink is a celebration.
talking about the food:it was awesome. each and every bite was delicious.specially the singapore noodles and kungpao chicken is a must try if you visit leaves and weaves.and if i talk about the dessert fresh fruit pancake was awesome.
taking about the ambience: it's a very beautiful place. the staffs were very polite and decent. service was quick.

my ratings are given only based on my 1st visit there. located in the guwahati address, leaves and weaves is a classy beautiful restaurant. its a perfect place for a romantic date. its an expensive one. the quality and the taste of the food is good. but the quantity they give is very less according to the price.

coming to the management, i dont know what to say. i called up leaves and weaves on 31st december 2017 to ask at what time it will open on the next day (1st january 2018) and the person who received my call clearly mentioned that therestaurantopens at 7:30am daily till 10:30 pm. and accordingly me and my fiancee went there on new year at 11:30am. outside i even asked the security is therestaurantopen and he replied yes. i went inside and as soon as i was about to sit a waiter came and said "plz go ma'amrestaurantis closed and it opens at 12:30pm"
is this behaiour acceptable? are u running arestaurantlike this without any management? one says its open other says its close?

again am editing here, the manager of leaves & weaves called me up and apologized for everything. and am very much impressed to see that leaves & weaves is having such a well behaved manager. sure for a visit soon👍

leaves & weaves is therestaurantin the hotel the guwahati address, situated in zoo tiniali. it's the sister hotel of the two famous hotels in shillong - the center point and ri-kynjai.
i happened to visit this place recently...and i must admit, as the name suggests ...the decoration and ambience of the place is very soothing and peaceful.
review-
food- they serve asian, northeastern, indian and chinese cuisine. we tried their crispy fried chicken...looks wise ... didn't look appealing...but taste was very good...it went well with beers!
tried masala kulcha and laal murgi( chicken with red spicy gravy) was very good and fulfilling.
also tried plain rice with their famous shillong smoked pork with bamboo shoots dish...it was quite good...smoked pork ...just like thats found in shillong!
cost is slightly on the higher side...but the quantity of all the items were good enough for two people! we were 3 of us...quite hungry ...we had our stomachs full with these items... couldn't even try out their desserts!
ambience- the place is beautifully decorated with natural elements, with soothing colours and plants, nice furnitures... really peaceful place to have a meal. they have a smoking zone too.
service- decent service..staff served our food quite quickly.
they have valet parking. only one thing i was concerned about is their card swiping machines were not getting proper network!( i saw this issue in some other review in zomato)... luckily i had some cash with me!
overall it's a very nice place for a peaceful meal..and to impress your near and dear ones,😀

it was a random dinner plan and we decided to visit this quiet... not-so-noisy fine dinerestaurantin the city. located in one of the busiest location of the city-zoo road, thisrestaurantwill give you one of the best 'your-time' or 'no-disturbance' feeling. the staff is really very courteous, perfect dim lights, classy music on the background and an amazing interiors will definitely attract your attention.
as far as the food goes, i will still say that it is ok-ok and nothing that great but over-all good clean and fresh taste. i like the food quality and the quantity is decent too.
somehow i felt their taste could have been better which i am sure they will work upon.
but i absolutely enjoyed my time being there.

located in zoo tiniali, this place is easy to spot. as you enter the restaurant, you are warmly welcomed by well behaved staff. the interiors of the place is beautiful and the place is bright.
it is a proper fine dinerestaurantwith the perfect ambience. coming to the food, me and my friend ordered chicken dimsum for starters, which was really good. the quantity served is a bit less though.
for the main course, we ordered pak choi with vegetable fried rice and shillong style smoked pork with fermented bamboo shoot, which is their speciality. and i swear, this is one of the best pork i had in my life! the pieces were nicely cooked and the fermented bamboo shoot added to the taste. do not miss out on this one guys!
lastly, we had pancakes for dessert which was noteworthy. most of the places in guwahati do not know how to make proper pancakes. but i was surprised to have delicious pancakes here which were filled with fruits like apple and nuts topped with honey. sure, taste is important but we often eat with our eyes! the presentation of the food is so good that it will make you happy as soon as u see them!

an amazing place that can easily be missing on the busy zoo road. a fabulously designed fine diningrestaurantwith staff who take their work seriously. i tired chinese which was nice, next time i would love to try their bengali cuisine n sea food. i was told they would be adding north indian into the menu soon and also open a bar. kudos to the team of the guwahati address for a fabulous place.
