loved my first experience with gourmet house. below is a detailed review covering what i feel are the relevant points -
location - parking is available for a max of three cars. they said they have valet services but we didn’t need to use it that day. so i guess even though the space looks pretty limited, parking is not a big hassle.
ambience - very clean, very cosy and perfect for a family dinner. service was wonderful - friendly waiters who knew the menu well.
menu - is pretty compact and covers various cuisines. there aren’t a lot of items on the list , unlike our typical restaurants, which i thought was a good thing. the owner said that they were going to expand it further with burgers and sizzlers.
what weordered- steamed chicken momos, a thai soup, fish and chips, nasi goreng, korean beef, lifu fried rice, a chicken dish (forgot the name) handmade ice cream (jackfruit), brownie sizzler and fried ice cream.
the momos, thai soup, nasi goreng, chicken, lifu fried rice, korean beef, jackfruit ice cream and fried ice cream were brilliant - absolutely lip smacking.
the brownie was below average, and the fish and chips can be improved vastly. the only negative we felt was the portion size, which didn’t justify the price charged.
all in all, though the price was a bit on the higher side, we would definitely visit again for the wonderful food, ambience and total experience.
