yum!! can't go wrong with anything you get here, as far aseggsgo. delightful and not too heavy but plenty filling! great coffee from bumper crop.

do not miss this joint!. while in coeur d alene on business we had breakfast here twice. it was all great. my husband had the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries. twice. amazing. i had the biscuits and gravy, and tried the in house cured corned beef. wow! the next day i had the greeneggsand ham. outstanding. local ham steak, pesto eggs, rosemary toast with homemade lemon curd and berry preserves. oh boy! i loved it all. clean with quich efficient, friendly service.

best corned beef on the planet. the garnet café has the best corned beef i have ever eaten. it’s cured on the premises. their corned beef hash is heavenly. also delicious is their greeneggsand ham (pesto poachedeggsand ham).

their breakfasts are the best we’ve eaten in the spokane/cda area. the service is good; the prices are reasonable; the portions are large. be sure to get to there early on weekends or you will have to wait for to be seated. the garnet café is a local favorite.

wonderful wonderful wonderful!. if you're like me you want more than just breakfast, you want something special that makes think your money was well spent. the garnet delivers on so many levels! we arrived just before they were closing but the waitress assured us we would be well taken care of, and she was right! each server we encountered was just as friendly as the last. they seemed happy we were there to dine with them, even though they were closing within a half hour of our arrival. it made us feel great about trying this place.
the coffee was fresh and delicious, the waitress was so nice and prompt, and the food arrived about ten minutes after we ordered it. i goteggsbenedict with salmon. theeggswere cooked perfectly and the salmon was smoked in house and was amazing. the hollandaise even tasted like it was made to order! but the best part of all of our meals was the bread. the gourmet rosemary bread with lemon curd and fresh raspberry jam was to die for. i will go back just for the bread!
they were fast without making us feel rushed. our waitress even brought refills of coffee and water after we paid. it was lovely, and i've gone back a few times and had a great experience each time.
i recommend them very highly, once you try it you'll never go back to shari's!

i'll pass. this little hole in the wall had a good feel and great service, but the food was a big letdown. the 'sausage' was anything but and had the weirdest taste i have ever experienced with meat.

their white toast was more like one big piece of gourmet bread and while it had a good flavor, it was thick and tough. it did not work with having over-easyeggson top and cut up. the yukon gold potatoes gave me high expectations but were dry and not very flavorful. all in all, i wish i had my $11.34 back, as it was a waste, but the risk you take on a a new place and listening to 97 other votes that obviously got it wrong.

oh, and for those who follow me, you have to know i was upset as there was no pink packets! (sweet-n-low)

working my way through the menu. we ordered the duck sausage last time, you have to try it. duck confit witheggsand potatoes, spam and eggs, spaghetti and eggs, white beans with eggs, greeneggsand ham, omelets with bacon, crab, eggplant and cheese. lemon curd and raspberry jam come with your toast or biscuit.
i eat gluten free, but people tell me the biscuits are great. i've had the bonner, hayden, lincoln city and the cdl omelets.
they also have an extensive drink menu.

once again, the best breakfast in coeur d'alene!. went this morning to the garnet and had my new favorite breakfast, the duck confit. fabulous meal with the potatoes, 2eggsand the wheat toast! love that they serve the toast with their homemade rasberry jam and lemon curd!

awesome is the only word to best describe the food, service and atmosphere! try the spaghetti and put a feweggsover easy on top. tasty! top it off with a sake bloody mary. different but very tasty!!

bread and thought i had died and gone to heaven. i am not sure what is in the 'scetti but wow! excellent service in a cozy spot.

best breakfast in town! bar none. unique - delicious...try the greeneggs& ham! coffee is great too.

best hands down. what i like about the garnet cafe is you can have the classic bacon andeggsif you want or you can branch out to something more daring like whites beans or duck confit. either way, you are going to have food that is far and beyond the food that most of the breakfast places in cda or spokane serve. if you are looking for the same ole shredded hash browns and butter flavor toast, go somewhere else. if you are looking to have clean, fresh food with a twist , go to garnet
