love, love, lovethe atmosphere in the restaurant! it's so warm and inviting. the food also had a comforting feel. we had the pimento cheese beignets and they were wonderful! i ordered the ribeye and my boyfriend ordered the pork chops. both of our dishes had wonderful flavor and were cooked perfectly. we shared the gnocchi which was also just so beautifully done. our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and how everything was prepared. we never had to wait for refills on any of our drinks. overall we had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back.

all i can say is wow!

one really interesting menu! downtown in an alley way but well worth the trip.
appetizers. small plates. and dinner selections. according to the waiter the menu changes a bit depending upon season and availability.

pig ears app....sliced into thin strips and fried. covered in some type of a sweet sauce and a splatter of hotter paste on the side of the bowl. all at the table were so surprised and loved this. try it!

cow tongue....who would have thought. idloveto describe what this tasted like but cant really tell you that its like anything ive ever had before. get over any presumptions and give this a try. served over a cheese grits with a egg on top.

pork belly poptart.... pork belly in a pastry shell. covered by another sweet sauce with walnuts mixed into it. ate every bite!

pork chop was also very good according to my dining partner.

go here if your looking for a unusual place. loved it.

sunday brunch at farm house. this is the first time we had eaten at the farm house. the food had some interesting and delicious twists. my husband had the pancakes with steen syrup. it was delicious. 3 pancakes- nice sized. anything else is extra.
i had the farm house breakfast. the grits again had an unusual twistin i that they were cheesy with maybe a bit of savory salty meat. i wish they had been hot instead of barely warm. the country ham was unusual and delicious. the biscuit was good as well. again, a different texture than ordinary buttermilk biscuits. the coffee is justlovecoffee out of murfreesboro. it is simply the best! we were asked if we needed anything else, although we were never offered coffee refills. i lov e the idea of having food that is local. i belong to a couple of csa's and buy most meat directly from the farmer so i know good clean food. i think the font desk could be a bit more welcoming. valet parking is great! overall a good experience.

went to the farmhouse for the first time for sunday brunch. the menu is limited but iloveand understand the farm to table concept so that was all good. our table had the farmhouse breakfast, pancakes, oj and coffee. we were seated for 5 or 6 minutes before anyone greeted us. however our server was quite friendly and explained that he had been attempting to fix the coffee machine which was broken. no coffee for brunch. the food was good, the grits excellent. the service on the other hand was terrible. it seemed as though the entire restaurant was severely understaffed. we had to ask for basic items more than once and often more than 2 and 3 times. we ran out of all drinks more than once. while we were seated at our table, two different tables got up and left because they had waited too long with no one coming to the table. the restaurant was not busy- 2 larger tables and a handful - 4 or 5 other tables of two people. our server was very pleasant but paying $14 for two eggs, ham, a biscuit and grits i expect better service.
