went to the farmhouse for the first time for sunday brunch. the menu is limited but iloveand understand the farm to table concept so that was all good. our table had the farmhouse breakfast, pancakes, oj and coffee. we were seated for 5 or 6 minutes before anyone greeted us. however our server was quite friendly and explained that he had been attempting to fix the coffee machine which was broken. no coffee for brunch. the food was good, the grits excellent. the service on the other hand was terrible. it seemed as though the entire restaurant was severely understaffed. we had to ask for basic items more than once and often more than 2 and 3 times. we ran out of all drinks more than once. while we were seated at our table, two different tables got up and left because they had waited too long with no one coming to the table. the restaurant was not busy- 2 larger tables and a handful - 4 or 5 other tables of two people. our server was very pleasant but paying $14 for two eggs, ham, a biscuit and grits i expect better service.
