attentive service but not really southern hospitality. i'm a bona fide southern woman so i can say such. where are the complimentary biscuits or corn bread? bad form not to offer a little lagniappe. interesting cocktails. 2x potato appetizer just so so. the sour cream tastes like cheap french onion dip.
crispy brussel sprouts were yummy.
hot chicken - one piece of chicken for $15.
overall, overpriced. and not true to the south.

holy deliciousness batman!!. my coworkers and i came in to have lunch this past tuesday while we were in town for business from tampa, florida. the food was so good we came back for dinner on wednesday night and again for lunch on thursday. during our dinner wednesday we had the charcuterie tray with the bacon compote. it was so good that i asked and begged for the chef to sell me a deli portion to bring back home. the chef was kind enough to acquiesce and i was able to share it with my coworkers today in the office.

the food is fresh.
the menu changes daily or weekly.

try the pork belly cheesesteak or the burger with corn meal bacon or the mac and cheese or the charcuterie tray mentioned above with the bacon compote and ham style duck meat or the smokey chicken wings. be sure to get some onion rings too.

the place is great!

love, love, love the atmosphere in the restaurant! it's so warm and inviting. the food also had a comforting feel. we had the pimento cheese beignets and they were wonderful! i ordered the ribeye and my boyfriend ordered the pork chops. both of our dishes had wonderful flavor and were cooked perfectly. we shared the gnocchi which was also just so beautifully done. our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and how everything was prepared. we never had to wait for refills on any of our drinks. overall we had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back.

good food, but limited menu. wish they had more options. it's definitely different. you have to be willing to try something new. we tried the pastrami pop tart with goat cheese and it was good.

before the snow storm, i managed to visit one local restaurant, the farm house. since the dinner was organized by the conference i attended i had to check the menu ahead of time to see if it was blog worthy. from the website i learned that farm house is a farm to table restaurant that includes unique spins on local fare. i was all for it! my group arrived early and sat at the bar until the rest of our group arrived. while waiting i sipped on a nashville 75, their spin on a french 75. i felt right at home with their legal folder drink menu! as far as the food… i was like ohh wow with some of thhe dishes. cow tongue? and a million things i had never heard of! we were brave and ordered the charcuterie board which included things like sock sausage, pickled fennel and rabbit liver pate. i probably have all this spelled wrong, but the names of the items were crazy. despite my initial misgivings, everything was really good especially the pate!! great choice for an appetizer with drinks.

i’ve been waiting for months to tell you about one of my favorite restaurants in nashville, the farm house, located right across from the country music hall of fame and museum in the sobro district (south of broadway). i wrote about the farmhouse in an article for the nashville arts & entertainment magazine (the restaurant revolution) which just recently hit the news stands. i didn’t want to write anything until the magazine was released, and i encourage you to pick up a copy if you live here and read more about the farm house and other nashville restaurants that have helped to create a food and wine landscape we nashvillians are proud of.

all i can say is wow!

one really interesting menu! downtown in an alley way but well worth the trip.
appetizers. small plates. and dinner selections. according to the waiter the menu changes a bit depending upon season and availability.

pig ears app....sliced into thin strips and fried. covered in some type of a sweet sauce and a splatter of hotter paste on the side of the bowl. all at the table were so surprised and loved this. try it!

cow tongue....who would have thought. id love to describe what this tasted like but cant really tell you that its like anything ive ever had before. get over any presumptions and give this a try. served over a cheese grits with a egg on top.

pork belly poptart.... pork belly in a pastry shell. covered by another sweet sauce with walnuts mixed into it. ate every bite!

pork chop was also very good according to my dining partner.

go here if your looking for a unusual place. loved it.

had the scallops which were delicious but you only get 2. also got cornbread. the butter was yummy but the bread was a little dry. kind of expensive for what you get but nice atmosphere.

went there for brunch and really enjoyed it! got the corn beef hash for appetizer, very yummy. our waiter did a nice job. the entrees were good, i was pretty satisfied with this place. i would definitely like to go back for dinner to see what their dinner offerings are like! they emphasize creating all components of their dishes in house which is cool. the construction in front of them near the hall of fame kinda messes with the ambience unfortunately, but nothing they can help. complimentary valet service too!
