the grind is found on burke street in surry, a little bit towards taylor square from the beresford. an airy spot the café does a good job with its corner location, making the inside feel quite outside. grabbing a seat was not a huge problem as burke street cafes go into chilled mode on sundays. i was quickly greeted with both menu and bottle of water and glass. i followed the order of the guys beside me and got a piccolo latte. the coffee was quick in its appearance an

this was hands down the best eggs benedict i have ever had! excellent value for money, you pay the same price as you would anywhere else, if not less, but you get almost double the amount of toast and bacon! delicious, tasty, beautiful! i will be going back.

loved the lamb meat balls awesome flavour, texture and portion, never had turkish coffee before and ended up googling how to drink it, want to go back again next time in sydney!
service was fast and friendly, though my friend and i came at a time with rather less people. very cool experience with he coffee, i’m sure the waiters would’ve explained how to drink the coffee if id asked but was shy to.

food here is amazing. best tasting kofte sausage in sydney, to my surprise. turkish cafe.

lamb kofte plate: 5/5 stars.
amazing!!!! love love loved it!!!! just wow. perfect balance of flavors. one of the best dishes i’ve ever tasted. large portion. lamb is like a grilled sausage that had great flavor. comes with a side that has chick peas and peas, tomato based, packed with flavor and goodies. comes with lots of soft delicious bread. comes with tatziki yogurt dipping sauce which is fresh and delicious for dipping the lamb in, i love tatziki. can’t wait to come back for this dish!!!!

smashed avo with egg: 5/5 stars. delicious.

eggs benedict: 3/5 stars. taste is good but the hollandaise sauce is bright pink in color which looks weird /unappetizing to me. the sausage had good flavor. eggs were over cooked cuz the center was solid rather than moist/runny.

coffee: 3/5 stars. a little too bitter. but not bad. smooth.

turmeric latte: 3/5 stars.

service: 5/5 stars. varies. the male servers r super friendly, but the lady server has room for improvement.

price: average. it seems a little pricey but the ingredients r very high quality and portions r large so it’s worth it! plus it’s on liven app so that’s a nice discount. it used to be on groupon so i hope they bring it back on groupon! groupon is how i found this place and now i’m hooked :-) as for paying full price, food is so yummy that it’s definitely worth it!

vibe: tiny tiny shop. not many tables inside so it can fill up. it’s quaint. they offer outside seating and indoor. can be cold inside on a rainy day. it’s relaxing vibe. i liked it. i wish they had more electric heaters, they have a couple of small heaters but it’s still cold inside.

location: kinda far walk from the cbd city center, a bummer. i can’t eat here often due to its far location.

complaints: i didn’t like how they allowed another customer’s dog to be seated inside the restaurant beside the table since i don’t think that’s sanitary for me. also, i didn’t like how the server was sweeping the floor while i was still eating, i don’t like dust near me cuz i have dust allergies, this was during lunch hours so it was not closing time or anything.

can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes. i highly recommend the food here esp the lamb kofte plate!! yummmm

for once, we not only ordered coffee (which we like there a lot) but also decided to try the brunch options. well, we've missed out a lot before! we loved our turkish-inspired meals: the çilbir (ottoman poached) and the quite vegan. the only small bug was coming from the service that day, which was not super efficient, otherwise great!

quite cosy place in surry hills with a chill ambiance. coffee was smooth and strong, just how i like it. menu is creative and turkish inspired. ottoman eggs were delicious, lovely balance of tomato and labne (yogurt). the turkish pastry with sausage and cheese was decadently delicious!

cute cafe churning out a breakfast and lunch menu with a turkish spin.

loving the turkish coffee and batch brew on moccamaster with single origin beans. turkish coffee is strong however it doesn't have that after taste like espresso has. highly enjoyed. comes with turkish delight.

if you're looking for a place for breakfast and you're sick of all the standard cafes, try this one out. i had a factory benedict here with turkish sausage (full of spice) on arepas (like polenta) with poached eggs and hollandise. i've never had a dish like this before. it was interesting and i quite enjoyed it. also had their shaksuka which is loaded with veggies!

they have an extensive menu so there's something for everyone. there's indoor and outdoor seating. sit outside for some sun or feel the vibes inside.

polished off brekky with kanafeh, a sweet dish (dessert made with thin noodle-like pastry).

i need to go back for their chai and hot chocs!

one of the best turkish food in sydney. the location is great as well, with a nice chic decor. we tried the gozleme and the lamb kofte, both dishes were delicious. highly recommended for food, ambience, friendly staff and good vibes!!

the factory grind offers a turkish spin on classic breakfast dishes!

• ‘big factory’ - bacon, haloumi, cumin tomatoes , sautéed mushrooms , veal sucuk, homemade potato barley hash, toast, two eggs. my partner and i really loved this dish and would recommend it!

•’kofte burger’ - lamb kofte in a charcoal bun with cheese, aioli and chutney with sweet potato chips. i adore the chutney, it’s got a thick texture like tomato pasta sauce and it goes perfectly with the lamb patty. the chips were also cooked perfectly!

my partner also ordered the coffee ☕️ and it wasn’t made right in the beginning and the barista offered another one which was very nice of them 👌🏼.

customer service and food is great! the perfect brunch!
