my wife and i had a funbreakfastexperience at the egg and i in panama city on friday may 10, 2013. and after reading some of the reviews we were compelled to add our review of this establishment after ourbreakfastexperience.

we want to say that the service was great with the waitress at our table promptly. she was kind, pleasant, most helpful and efficient, and stopped often asking us if we needed anything.

ourbreakfastwas also served promptly and it was very tasty. i ordered the denverbreakfastwith grits on the side and my wife ordered an omelet (can't remember which) with grits and we both rated the food as yummy.

and we enjoyed the owner(s) stopping by to chat with us too.

we got into town way too early to check in to our condo. we couldn't find anyplace open forbreakfastuntil we made the fortunate call to the egg and i which was opening at 7:00 a.m. the food was great and the service was too. the owner came to greet us. what a nice man! they have wonderful coffee blends. the greek frittata was the favorite at our table, but there were no complaints about what everyone else ordered. we highly recommend this place. gonna have to come back for lunch!

good quality really fresh food! service is quick and friendly. menu is flexible and full of greatbreakfast/ lunch options. the coffee is the best table coffee at anybreakfastrestaurant i've been to. i ordered the wisconsin scramble that comes with potatoes and an english muffin. i always get this.....the eggs are so creamy / cheesy and smooth. my wife ordered the athena scramble (potatoes and muffin). they both feature fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference over a corner diner. the manager (taylor) came by our table, was very friendly, and asked how we liked our food. we love this place and can't wait to come back. the egg and i is a great place to start your day.

my wife and i stopped in for a quick, quality breakfast. she ordered the two eggbreakfastwith bacon and grits, and i had the crab cakes benedict. the food was not gourmet, but it was the fast, qualitybreakfastwe were looking for!

not what it was cracked up to be!. looked at the ratings so decided to go since we were in town for the first time. no wait to be seated! great start! however, service was slow to put our food order in after getting our drink order. they only dobreakfastand lunch so nothing extravagant. after waiting to place our food order, we got our 3 easy orders placed, we waited about 25-30 mins before getting our plates and the food wasnt hot! there wasn't a big crowd in this place so i didnt get it! lastly i have had a larger portion of food for less the cost! 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and a waffle for about $9. so if you aren't in a rush or starving, go for it.

very slow kitchen. ordered basicbreakfastitems for two people (eggs, toast, biscuits and gravy) and a cup of soup. we sat for 20 minutes before the waitress came to tell us that the soup we ordered wasn't actually available. then another 20mins to just leave. waited 40 minutes for nothing. the only thing we know about the food here is that the chocolate milk was good. don't waste your time.

this has usually been out "go to"breakfastplace, however, the last two times we have been here it was not good at all. and each time the server could have cared less. won't be goin back.

this is a great place forbreakfastin pcb. everything was fresh,large portions, staff was friendly and tentative. manager came and checked on us. returned following day to try something else on the menu se great food and service. a+

good food, great staff, break an egg!. i go there about twice a month forbreakfastwith 10 of my friends. the staff always has our table ready, the service is fast and the food is great and plentiful! we are all ex-navy divers and can we eat! they fill us up and send us on with a smile. any sour grapes probably come from folks that are never happy. you hungry? eat here.

wife had the patriot waffle, i had the egg-ceptional omelette the best we have ever had. i see a negative comment on this and can not understand what they are talking about, the food and service is great. we love this place.

not impressed. the food was okay. typical, fare for abreakfast"pancake place" type restaurant. great selection of menu items. if you want to splurge - go for it. would be a once-a-year type place for me. way overpriced!!!

not impressed.... wish i would have read the reviews before visiting... had the "egg-ceptional omelette". it should be renamed "egg(beater)-ceptional omelette", at least that way the expectations are honest. spending $15 on a dine-inbreakfastthat doesn't compare to most fast-food breakfasts? i won't be back here!

bestbreakfastat the beach. this place is the absolute best! service is awesome & the food is just as good. this is a must forbreakfastin panama city beach. we had pineapple coconut pancakes, viva la france (french toast), bacon & cheese omelet, and a mexican scramble. all were delicious. i don't think anyone left anything on their plate, and the portions are huge!
