strange concept. burgers and sushi, and alot of reading.. place was'nt for me. i can get a burger anywhere.

not sure what the hype was about. food was run of the mill, and the service was slow. not sure what they were thinking with their 15 page menu either.. burgers with like litterly 10+ diffrent things on them, and like 3 sauces lol.

so much fun!!. the details in food, atmosphere and venue are exquisite!! the venue is very fun with great decorations and a lot of thought put into unique customization with nerdy themes :) we tried some fusion sushi that both had a wonderful presentation and work really well for sounding very weird. the first thing i usually do on a burger is pull off the bun. this burger was amazing, perfect thickness of rye to match the very well blended toppings. i am so glad i don't live closer, we would be here all the time, broke and several sizes bigger :)

*creamy* crab rangoon dip... made with cream cheese, crab, and parmesan panko crust served with wonton chips topped with thai sweet chili sauce. this appetizer was absolutely phenomenal... top 5. we were honestly hurting because we ate it so fast. this fusion bistro is full of different takes on meals... so our entree from cowfish was this insane fusion bento box. surf n’ turf? you decide. ⬇️⬇️

lump crabcake mix and cream cheese inside, coated in tempura flakes. topped with seared blackened tuna, avocado salsa and jalapeño.

and the sides were warm sweet potato fries, seasoned edamame, cucumber salad with red onions. hows that for a bento?

very cool place...great food!! everything we had was excellent!!! would def go back! the manager was also very cool. had a long wait but worth it!

i simply love this place. great food cooked to perfection with the freshest ingredients. professional friendly staff and cool ambience. highly recommended.

this place is ridiculous, in the best sense of the word. a madcap fusion of east and west, kitschy youthful exuberance and serious eats, the cowfish is an unforgettable experience if a sometimes overwhelming one.

this is a review of a restaurant named the cowfish sushi burger bar located in raleigh, north carolina. they have four other locations in the country located in charlotte, atlanta, birmingham and orlando. the raleigh location is open from 11 am to 11 pm everyday except friday and saturday when they stay open an hour later. we visited last saturday around 4:30 pm. it was very busy already, but we were able to get a table right away. shortly after we arrived everyone had to wait for a table. if you don't want to wait for a table, you'll need to miss the lunch and dinner rush by arriving before or after the busiest hours. free garage parking is available in the building. after parking, take the elevator to the lobby. when you get off the elevator walk into the lobby, walk to the other side of the building, go outside and the restaurant will be on your left. there is also some parking on the street, but not many spaces.

does not get any better than this first great customer service! food great burgers and sushi f'ing awesome . not a bad item on the menus and you will not leave hungry.

sadly disappointed today with the meal. the pimento cheese burger with bacon on rye bread, the bread did not hold up to the moisture perhaps the bread would have been better toasted. the bacon was burnt and cold. the sweet potato fries were limp and cold as well.

seems like every time we went it was a madhouse, but we waited for my friends birthday. i don't like sushi, but everyone who ordered it, enjoyed it. i got the chipotle bison burger... it was one of the best burgers that i have ever eaten. can't wait to go back. with the wait. also really enjoyed the decor.

pretty disappointed.  the parking was fine due to the large parking deck next door, and the location is developing into a nice place.  interior looks nice and has cute cowfish oriented renditions of famous art pieces.  large fish tank in the center by the bar gives interesting ambiance.  staff was friendly.  the waiter, aaron, was polite and attentive.  the problem here was the food which was a big surprise considering how many of our friends rave about it.  i ordered the texas longhorn burger and my wife got the fusion bento box.

her box came with three sides a slider and half of a normal sushi roll.  the problem with the box is that you get a very generic slider with no frills and choice of three basic rolls.  while the food was good, it was nothing special and not a great way to showoff the food.  not really worth it considering there is more side dish than main portions.

my burger, ordered medium, came out nearly raw inside so had to send it back.  they brought my fries back out while they made me another burger and i have to say they were extremely tasty.  not sure what they seasoned them with but was a nice change of pace.  a long while later i got my replacement burger and while it was no longer raw it was cooked to between medium and medium well.  the bigger issue is that the outside was heavily charred and made it so bitter i was unable to eat but half of it.  i like a little char on the burger, but this was just ruined.  also, the bacon was a jalepeno bacon and it had a very off-putting taste.  overall it was just not a good eat.

everyone talks it up so we might try again, but this was a rather poor experience.

so i still love this place i just didn't like my menu choice. trying to eat sushi on a sandwich just isn't.....smart or easy. the food was still good, but i did not prefer the presentation. i tried to take the bartender's advice and cut the flatbread horizontally to eat it. everything just slid out the back end, so i ate with a fork which wasn't as good. i will stick to what i know from now on.

was given a 1.5 hour wait time, ended up waiting 2.5 hours. they forgot my boyfriends dinner and brought our checks out before he was served because the "kitchen was closed." failed to acknowledge my birthday after being told several times. i used to love cowfish, but after this trip i will not be returning.

seared albacore with spicy jalapeño sauce. served cold. the sauce has a nice, delayed kick of spice.

texas longhorn burger. amazing burger, even better fried pickles as a side. love this
