the capital grille

don't forget the apps.. sure, they have great steak...but isn't that what you expect? i went tonight for the first time and was really impressed with a few of the appetizers. we had calamari and prosciutto wrapped mozeralla sticks. they were outstanding. for dessert 8 of us shared the double chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich..umm, there were still leftovers!

i went here to try a fresh maine lobster. i ended up getting the 10 oz filet and maine lobster tail. the food had fanatic flavor and quality. the atmosphere was formal and staff were fantastic!

this is my go to place for a great dinner and evening. i have been here many times for several occasions and i have been pleasantly surprised each time. the service is classical european so don't expect to be in and out. totally worth the price and great for a "chain".

steak good, seafood ok. had ribeye with special flavoring. very good. wine selections great. seafood appetizer not the best, but ok. atmosphere was excellent.

our preferred fine dining location. best aged steaks - good seafood, although the last time i ordered a scallop dish, they were overcooked - twice, since i sent them back to the kitchen. this is an expensive establishment so for a cheaper alternative, try the sunday evening bar menu with live jazz.

amazing amazing service. i mentioned it was our anniversary when i made the reservation.and the employee wished me a happy anniversary. i thought that was the end of it. we arrived and out table was ready within about 5 minutes (we were early) and upon seating us the hostess also wished us a happy anniversary. heart confetti tastefully adorned the table - that was a surprise. then we were greeted with a "happy anniversary" from our fabulous waiter, dylan, who also brought me champaign and my husband a flute of ginger ale (he doesn't drink). we had a complimentary individual bruschetta courtesy of the chef. fantastic attention to detail, thorough menu knowledge, unobtrusive but readily available service, and free happy anniversary dessert. best value for the expense we really felt like vips. and the food was beyond incredible. as budget allows we will return for multiple date nights. an outstanding experience!

upscale, fine service, good food. deep wood, wonderful wine choices, good, attentive service. try the shellfish platter - a wonderful presentation and nice way to begin (after ordering cocktails). for entree i enjoyed the dry aged sirloin - but oh my, very large portion...along with the salad and sharing more appetizers with our guests.......we really dined.....and enjoyed it. food is a bit pricey - but a nice place for a romantic dinner or special group function. have also enjoyed the capital grille in d.c. - and it met my expectations - yes, a chain - but done quite well and uniform in quality. too - if you bring a camera our server took the photo of us and our guests and then made two photos and brought us two "capital grille" frames in which to put the photos in. nice touch........

great steak

first of all the appetizers were amazing the lobster bisque was delicious. the lobster mac and cheese was one of the best side dishes i’ve ever had and the strip steak was made exactly the way i wanted. the wine list will not disappoint and will compliment everything on the menu you will not be disappointed here.

wonderful scottsdale restaurant

capital grille has been a scottsdale institution forever. the food is wonderful and so is the service and drinks.

we had lunch with a lovely rib eye sandwich. lots of meat, perfectly melted cheese and the right sized bun. husband had the burger and it was the same, perfect. they will cook to ordered doneness.

we had the tuna tartar for appetizer and it was fresh, chilled and flavorful.

topped it off with martinis and they were wonderful as well.

we stopped here for a late lunch and the service was friendly and efficient.

we had the crab and lobster burger which was very tasty. the accompanying fries and my wife thought they were some of the best fries she had ever had. they were sprinkled with parmesan and white truffle oil. the decor was also nice. i would recommend this restaurant

one of my friend suggested me this place. he is from downtown if told you about this is it just amazing food was delicious staff was friendly and they help me with the food they suggest me good food i told them my taste the ambiance was very good over all a lovely place highly recommended

the capital grille has incredible steaks that melt in your mouth. the wait staff is highly attentive. ambiance is elegant and classy. i would recommend any of their locations for a special occasion or for a client dinner to impress.

great service and a nice variety on the menu. its just very expensive. the mashed potatoes are to die for! seriously get the friggin’ mashed potatoes. even as an appetizer! they have valet which is nice and a bar in front to start and/or end your visit.

fabulous restaurant offering a range of steak, seafood and other dishes. the waiter, rob, described all the dishes that feature as highlights and made every one of them sound so tempting.

when the food arrived, some sharing dishes and some individually chosen we were all delighted. the tables are arranged so there is a good atmosphere yet privacy to conduct conversations

capital grille, no matter what city you are in, always delivered top notch service and food.  however, over the years, this location stands out for us.  maybe it's the location and the city, maybe to various influential people and meetings that occur here.  but we always manage to check in, at least to wet our whistle and very much enjoy every minute of it.
