a restaurant that possesses both excellent service and high quality food. went here for lunch and we were very impressed!

we had the yummy pork belly, delicate squid ink parpadelle and the market fish. all were high quality and delicious. we wanted to have more!
service and atmosphere
the location of thisplaceis perfect. outdoor dining was surrounded by greeneries and trees. they had a fire pit and the river was on sight. great customer service from the staff!

theplacelooks beautiful with lots of natural lighting. service was good and we could easily catch our waitresses attention and she was quite attentive as well. as entrees we had the scallop which was delicious and well seared. for mains , was a bit dissapointed as the flavour combo was a little lacking especially with the venison and braised daikon which did not match well. we also had the duck breast which was cooked well but needed some sauce to tie it in together. however, they do have a great selection of wines.

thisplacehas sadly not reaching the quality of food it once served.
i shan't return.
the service is also another let down. it's all over the place. the menus offer food which is not even available. who knows how long that's been going on.
let's just say the shoe don't fit.

wow!!! this was one of the most exquisite meals i have ever had!! the service was absolutely outstanding! they were personable, professional and knowledgable! after chatting for a little we found out that it has changed management 2 months ago. being a chef myself, i was absolutely blown away with my waygu beef & my dessert! both meals had amazing balance of flavours & textures! you will not be disappointed in this place! amazing atmosphere, beautiful & original surroundings & outstanding food & service! i cannot speak of how highly i rate thisplaceafter our dinner last night! do your self a favour & book a table!

poor service. our decision to mark my husband's birthday with a celebratory lunch in the beautiful surrounds of bridgewater mill was marred by a rude and arrogant waitress who made us feel miniscule and out of place. her highfalutin manner seemed to belittle us and the discomfort felt was almost stifling. our decision to have a long and leisurely lunch was ended abruptly because we felt that her sole purpose was to make us order more and if we weren't we were taking up valuable space and time.
pity really because her behaviour was in direct contrast to the beauty of the mill.
we left theplacesaddened by the fact that this waitress had managed to ruin what was planned to be an idyllic afternoon.

ridiculously overpriced. we went for lunch on a weekday. the deck was closed so we had to sit inside. the space is like an annexe to the lovely old mill. we sat next to the old bluestone wall, and our view was up at the lovely roof, marred by a huge tv antenna. the atmosphere is only okay in this room. the music was almost unbearable elevator music - very daggy. the tables are all set with starchy linen and feels formal but doesn't match the space.

now for the food. the menu is very small. we had trouble finding something we wanted to eat. the only thing my friend wanted on the menu was a steak. the waiter really talked it up as something very special. it is $40 for the steak, then you have to order the potatoes $10 and the vegies $10 on top of that - so $60 for a steak. when it came it was a very small piece of eye fillet - (around $6 from coles). it came medium cooked although no one asked how my friend wanted it cooked. the chips were excellent. i had the filled ravioli. it was nice but not amazing. it was a very small serve and cost around $30.

i had the bridgewater mill sauv blanc with the pasta and it was delicious.

thisplacecould be really really great if they worked on the atmosphere a bit and put some more reasonably priced things on the menu. i would certainly never go back or recommend thisplaceas it is now.
