for diner en blanc, we ordered thetealunch which included assortedteasandwiches served with fresh fruit and a bonbonerie pastry.  along with the artisan cheese plate: three of our hand selected artisan cheeses, genoa salami, spiced pecans, apricot onion chutney, seasonal fruit, honey and homemade cracker bread.  they were the perfect way to start our meal.  i loved that i got such elegant food without having to lift a finger.  each was delicious and beautiful to plate.  we ended up with a ton of food left over as well.  loved it!

i wanted something amazing for lunch the other day, so i stopped by bonbonerie café. i’ve hadteain the pastry shop, but never eaten at the café. i wanted something light so i opted for the fruit & berry salad. it was so cute, but not necessarily filling. i should have opted for the half sandwich & half salad, but they only offered the mixed green salad with that. my mistake. i enjoyed the fresh fruits & berry and the zing in the lemon poppy seed dressing. i just wanted more!

afternoon tea?. my daughter and i had an afternoonteareservation at the cafe that i'd made several weeks prior. to begin with, the cafe entrance (and the whole operation for that matter) is dysfunctional. it's not clear as to where to go to get a table when you get there. i had to wait in the carryout pickup line to tell an employee i had a reservation. the employee found our name but someone was seated at the table we were supposed to get. it was downhill from there. the service was horrible. we had to wait about 5 minutes to get a table, another 5 to get a menu, the tea's were mixed up, we finally had to ask for more tea, 10 minutes waiting in line to pay the bill, etc. if you want a nice peaceful relaxing place to have afternoon tea-go somewhere else. the cookies were good but next time i'll just pick some up from the bakery.

yum!. the cakes are phenomenal, i am actually glad i do not live closer otherwise i would be there everyday buying cake. however, thetearoom experience was really expensive and what you get is just not worth the money.

cute storefront, friendly service, wonderful desserts. this place is probably the cutest, most feminine restaurant in all of cincinnati. i went to both the cafe as well as the bakery and i enjoyed both.
we stopped in for breakfast last week and found the food to be good. it should be noted that they don't have a full breakfast menu - meaning they don't have a cook making things that you order. they have a display case with some baked goods from the bakery and an expansive breakfast drink list (tons ofteaand some coffee choices). we had a couple of danishes and a cappuccino. all of it was very good. we then made our way back to the bakery and got some things to go. the macaroons, opera cake, tarts, and everything else was delicious and aesthetically quite pleasing as well.
on a side note, the service was exceptionally friendly. they only had one person working the cafe when we were there and so service was (understandably) moving a bit slow. apparently it was too long of a wait for a couple of people who huffed and puffed, then left. after that some guy in a characteristically obnoxious nyc accent yelled to the employee that they need to hurry up because they are losing customers. and then this guy got his order to eat in... so what was the rush for exactly? if you want fast food, go to a fast food joint. this is a cafe obviously not suited for a breakfast rush of any kind. fortunately, the lady working behind the counter played it off very well and proceeded to serve everyone in a friendly manner. i really have to commend her for not getting upset at the jerk behind us.
overall, i liked this place and may be back if i'm ever in the area again. i'd be interested to try out the lunch fare. i would definitely recommend to dessert lovers and it is worth a bit of a drive to go check out.

tea room. the pastries at the bonbonerie are so fantastic, i had a cake made for my mother's birthday & carried it on a flight to florida.

there is an adorable, funkytearoom where you may have lunch ( for under $10) or have an afternoon tea, with three tiers of sandwiches & sweets & a pot ofteafor $14.

it really is a special place & the only one like it in our area.
